Chanced upon this as I'm waiting for a current drama starring Kim Hee Ae. Just about right cos I'm getting tired of watching the popular actresses starring in dramas that just didn't do anything for me. I'm sorry to offend but CLFY ( I find the main actress over-exaggerated tho I had loved her previous dramas/movies)...So glad I found Hee Ae and didn't know she's a veteran in Kdrama.
The music in this drama, OMG, I kept humming it esp the end songs. Even downloaded the playlist in Spotify. Selection is so good and so sentimental. Transports me back to my youth.
Story is so relatable, cheating is bad? Well yes but in some circumstances as in the main actress, I can see why and she def must divorce the bastard. But I don't agree with Tae Oh's move as his wife deserves time to change. She is a good woman and again, Lee Tae Ran clinched the act superbly.
Overall I love the storyline and was not bored thruout the drama.

On the contrary, I really enjoyed watching this drama. It's on my list of poorly rated but must watch. To begin with, I like all the actors and it introduced me to the beautiful Lee Tae Ran. She acted so well as the suffering wife of obnoxious Kim Jung Tae (another interesting supporting actor). The passionate escape between Nam Sang Mi and Lee Sang Woo is so romantic and 'understandable' given the predicament Ji Hye is in.
Don't know why the previous reviews but this is a Must Watch if you're looking for love genre and likes Sang Woo, Ji Hoon and Sang Mi.

Was skimming through Koreans, Taiwanese, China's dramas. So bored with all the candy coated(bimbo) female leads, trying to appear haughty/macho male leads and Koreans 2019 weird storylines. I landed on Taiwanese drama for a while, discovered F4's Jerry Yan (yes, just started watching him, sorry) but after a while, found him too 'temperamental' to my liking and didn't like some of the ugly female leads in his dramas so dropped him. THEN, I chanced upon Chen Kun. And so I tried The Story of my Noble Family.
I like dramas that kept me glued from Ep 1. Perhaps my taste's not alike those reviewers' I've checked out (when looking for what next). So far, my all time favourites that could captivate me and not 'test my patience with a few episodes' are Wallace Chung's My Sunshine and now this. Don't ask me why, I just love the sentimentality of the whole production and the music adds to draw.
Here, I like Chen Kun's mischievious and witty character. Like his lines that reveal a smart guy who's seemingly lazing and spoilt.
The female lead has a face of character, unlike the current bimbos leads, which is a pity of dramas of late.
Will continue my review when I finish. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint though I have read the ending is sad. (sob...sob...)
For now, I'll let the melodic period-infused music continue to draw me into this sad love story, which Chen Kun's charismatic acting succeeded in feeding my thirst for a good drama.
Moving onto Ep 6.....
