MY WEEKLY SEROTONIN BOOST
Ah what can I say I absolutely love everything about this series!! It takes everyone back to their puppy love/high school crush days and just hits you with happiness every single episode! Seriously, this is one of the series where I didn't cringe or skip scenes where the actors were singing, the OSTs have been on repeat for me ever since this series started airing. I'm going to miss watching them so much!! There is no toxicity, no unnecessary drama, no forced pda etc.. I just love how the actors, writers and directors portrayed the freshness of first love through this series. Definitely would rewatch this sometime when I need something light and happy to watch! Was this review helpful to you?

LOVE IT!
As a person who cannot finish a drama unless it really intrigues me in every possible way, I can say I totally binge-watched this series to the very last episode in 2 days, it was just that good! The main actress for the queen did such an amazing job portraying an exasperated, loving, protective mother and a stunning, confident queen so perfectly, you can't help but fall in love with her. I love how the character she plays grows into this strong and badass mother as the story develops, and not from the very beginning as it really adds depth to her character. The story has everything you could ask for, intriguing plotlines and since it's a periodic piece about royalty, oh you can definitely expect some political and family drama. What makes me love this more is the familial bond and interaction between the royal family! the grand princes are such an adorable, troublemaking bunch (poor queen lol) and how the drama isn't too messy and is cleanly resolved. I absolutely couldn't predict the plotline at all, which makes it even better to watch. There really weren't many filler moments that you could skip in this drama either. Overall, an amazing job by the cast and the producing team, and totally one of the must watch k-dramas for 2022!Was this review helpful to you?
A cute romance between two people in rock bottom
I thought this was a particularly nice rom-com to watch. There wasn't much that I hated/ would improve about it. I loved the pretty realistic setbacks the two main characters experience to bring them to the worst slump of their life. I love the emphasis the show made on mental health, friendships and family values. The character's struggles and life experiences seemed very relatable and I loved the story all the more for that.I could see why this drama might seem a little plain for some as the romance was very calm and the 'enemies to lovers' part that they signed up for was immediatley resolved. There were no dramatic scenes or villans and no romantic scenes that made me want to scream and bury my head in a pillow.
The scenes with the family, the second couple and the comedy in the drama was also very well done! Some of the comedy scenes really got me smiling from ear to ear and of course park hyung sik and park shin hye acted so well in their roles!
Overall a really nice comfort watch, just what you need to get over your drama watching slump :P

Short but sweet
There is really nothing that I can find to discredit this series, I found it way more fun and interesting to watch compared to Star in my mind. One thing I love about this series is that there are no 'filler side couples', the side couples that are just there to just fill in screentime. The story didn't drag on any misunderstandings, and I loved how they explored Fah's emotions throughout the series. Its relatively short compared to other thai BLs out there but the plot is refreshing (not a school romance) and if it wasn't for ATOTS releasing in the same year, I think this series would have been a big hit. Handsome and great actors, great locations, pretty-good feel-good storyline....nothing that screamed out WOW for me but definitely a recommendation if you want something good and simple to binge. Was this review helpful to you?
Sticks true to its title
Not going to lie, when they introduced the plot for the show in the first few episodes, I thought there was no way there was going to be enough material for 16 whole 1 hour + episodes. But oh I was proven wrong. Every episode got me eagerly anticipating the next to see where the plot was going. What makes it even better is I LOVE a plot that pulls at my heartstrings and this was one. It stays true to its title, I was just left bawling for some scenes in the drama, which just shows how amazing the screenplay and acting was. Kim Soo Hyun, Kim Jiwon and Park Sunghoon really embodied their roles in this drama! The premise of this show is very simple, a broken marriage due to prolonged miscommunication between the couple. But there is also chaebol family politics, a very stubborn but interesting villain and cute little side couples. The cinematography was also beautifully romantic.
Overall, I really liked this drama! I probably wouldn't have liked it that much if I had binge-watched it instead of watching it while it was airing because I could see how the length of the episodes might make the drama feel draggy. But rating it based on how much I enjoyed the drama while it was airing and how it left me eagerly anticipating the next episodes, I would give it a 10!
