A Simple Life is Enough
This was a very comfortable show to watch when your own life is hectic. It had such comforting characters and relationships, with conflict that makes sense. It's a perfect example of, you can tell a simple story that's realistic and it's still entertaining and engrossing. A story does not need overly inflated and toxic drama to be entertaining.I loved and empathized with every character, and even though it was a little slow at first, it quickly found its pacing and was enjoyable the rest of the way through.

Slow, boring, and awkward
This sequel was slow and confusing from the start. The development of the characters' relationships was awkward and unnatural in every aspect and the storytelling was clunky and made little sense. I struggled to pay attention to this movie. I was only 30 mins into the film and I thought it was almost over (30 mins felt like 2 hours). I pushed through in hopes that it would redeem itself with the ending as season 1 did, but alas, it was just another disappointment. Seems like they're leaving room for a season 3 with the ending but I will not be wasting time on that since this one was such a letdown. Was this review helpful to you?
My all time favorite CDrama
Excellent story, wonderful cast, and the music are gripping. Everything about the Untamed was wonderful, I've actually watched the whole thing over 50 times because I loved it so much. There is so much chemistry between the cast, Xiao Zhan was an amazing Wei Wuxian and Wang Yibo did fantastic portraying Lan Wangji. I laughed, I cried, I raged. It will give you a warm fuzzy feeling inside when you watch the relationships between Wei Wuxian and everyone around him, and you will fall in love with the adorable, untamed genius that he is, and then the story will crush your very soul as it progresses. This story gets very heavy and a bit dark midway through, and I found myself so angry at all the injustice that Wei Wuxian faced, but don't worry, it redeems itself in the end and it gives closure.
10/10, I'm probably going to end up watching it another 50 times at least.

Stupid Women and Tasteless Men
The female lead is just so stupid, even after ep 31. She's still stupid. She started out really strong but then devolved into whiny and easily manipulated, and I was thinking that she'll come back smarter towards the end of the show, but no. She's only becoming more stupid.I've been outright skipping entire episodes just to get through the tedium of the plot, but it's still not worth watching. FL is so dumb but somehow, every single male character in the show is in love with her. Every old man wants to kill her, every female character is jealous of her for some reason, and every young male wants to sleep with her. There's been no compelling reason why she would elicit any sort of reaction from any character. The plot just falls flat.
Even the main villain is boring. I love Wang Zhou Cheng as an actor, and aesthetically he looked fantastic, but that was it. His character was unbelievably boring and as a mastermind, he did nothing but looked mysterious and repeated that he was a "good person".
I'm extremely disappointed that they ruined such a great cast with a subpar plot and story.

wonderful and a must-watch
Usually, with dramas that are over 20+ eps, I find myself to be a bit disinterested midway, and they tend to drag things out to fill the time slots, however; this story kept me engaged the entire time. The acting was superb, and I loved all the characters. Tang San was adorable and lovely, and the teachers were great fun to watch. My two complaints are that the wigs really detracted from the actor's attractiveness, and the ending was a bit jarring because it was a setup for season 2.Overall, this production was wonderful and a must-watch!

Mediocre Through and Through
It's hard to fathom how a KDrama that features most of my favorite actors and actresses and my favorite script writer could suck this badly. This started out slow but had an interesting concept, but quickly became a chore to watch. There was zero chemistry between any of the actors, the pacing was tediously slow and overwhelmed with product placements.
Even the ending was riddled with tedious mediocrity. The abundance of eye candy aside, there was nothing else redeeming about this show.

Horrible plot and characters are lacking
I tried really hard to support this show because of Xiao Zhan, but I struggled the entire time. It was such a letdown because I was hyped waiting for it to be released, but the story just falls short. The female lead was a chore to watch, and it was absolutely aggravating to sit through her brainless floundering about while they were building up her character development. She is so idiotic (even though they tried to portray her as intelligent), gullible and weak.
Lord Bo, the male lead was very attractive to look at but oh my god, was he toxic and moronic. The push and pull dynamic between the two leads made me want to rip my hair out and was unbearable to watch. Also, the way they tried to give Lord Bo "special abilities" because he was "raised by wolves" was idiotic. Being raised by wild animals doesn't automatically make you superman. Your body composition is still those of a human. *cue heavy eye roll*
There really should have been a trigger warning for episode 15 (I believe it was 15).
Ji Chong was the only saving grace and tolerable character. He was supportive without being overbearing, kind without being a pushover and he truly loved her. There is no logical reason that anyone would choose Lord Bo over Ji Chong, other than a contrived plot device.
Overall, the production value of this show was high and the cast were all great actors in portraying their roles, however, the story was just lacking and even with heavy suspension of belief, I still couldn't stomach it.

Not Even Gong Jun Can Save This
I was skeptical about this show, to begin with, but I tried to watch it anyway for Gong Jun. Even so, it fell lower than my low expectations of it. There is no chemistry between the leads, the scenes are absolutely unrealistic, and all the female characters are spoiled, immature, and incredibly annoying. The FL makes terrible decisions and just expects things to work out for her. She is absolutely undeserving to be a doctor. She is childish, wants things done her way, and doesn't respect anyone else's preferences or advice. The ML told her about his phobia, and as a doctor, instead of understanding it, she laughs at it and then subjects him to his phobia without his consent and thinks it's funny.
The SFL is a rookie firefighter, and even ignoring the fact that she is a tiny and physically weak female (I'm not being biased, that is how she's portrayed in the show), she still somehow passed the physically strenuous Firefighting exams. But as a rookie on the team, she disregards authority or chain of commands, talks back to her squad leader constantly, and even barks out orders to her senior colleagues. She is disrespectful and incompetent.
I was already tired of this show at episode 2 but pushed through to support Gong Jun's work, but I couldn't manage to get past Episode 5. Sorry Gong Jun, I hope you pick better scripts next time.
