A Flash In The Pan
Common tropes and cliches abound in this poorly executed story, leaving loose ends untied and logic sorely lacking. The characters make questionable decisions that do not ring true to their development, such as Hae In blindly trusting Eun Song despite obvious red flags. The lack of critical thinking, like Hae In not hiring a lawyer to protect her memory through a diary, undermines the believability of the plot. The character of Grace switching sides serves little purpose other than to conveniently aid one side with the progression of the story, without any real depth or consistency. Even Hae In's parents' lack of visitation after her treatment in Germany contradicts their supposed love and support for her after learning about her illness. The most ironic thing of all is how Hyun Woo had to cook for the commemoration of Hae In’s grandmother. Viewers were under an impression in the first episode that how stressful it must feel to be in this powerful family. Yet just as the story progresses further we can see they are actually clueless and powerless, with the entire family surrounds Hyun Woo’s bed just to listen to what plan he has for them to restore their family power.Overall, this narrative fails both its audience and its cast with lazy storytelling and reliance on tired cliches.

The Most Heartwarming Drama Ever Watch
My, this drama may beat It's Okay That's Love to become the most heartwarming drama I've ever seen. From Gongjin village, to the people, and the main characters, all are bathed in the bright gorgeous Gongjin sun and sea breeze that everything is so warm and sweet and pleasant. I especially love how the writer does not only focus on the main characters, but also gives a backstory to almost everyone that appears in the drama. Kim Seon Ho and Shin Min A are superb in their actings, their laughters and cries make your heart pour out to them. There is not a single character that is the villain in the story (except maybe the stalker) so it lightens your mood and become something I look forward to every weekend. I will definitely miss Hometown Chachacha and will rewatch with my loved ones. You should give this drama a try!Was this review helpful to you?
A very refreshing Rom-Com!
This rom-com has officially become my favorite drama of 2021. Without too much expectation, I spent two full days watching and completely falling in love with the ML and FL's personalities. Jang Ki Yong portrays flawlessly a fox that, besides a beautiful face, doesn't have a lot of emotion and has to learn how to feel in the presence of the FL. Hyeri portrays a very realistic, relatable college girl who is responsible for herself and always fights for her love, which is very refreshing to see. I am also so glad to see the nice, supportive relationship between the main leads and the second main leads. Overall, this drama makes me smile non stop and restores my faith in rom-coms. Definitely recommend My Roomate is A Gumiho! Was this review helpful to you?
Slow Burn Romance With Intense Chemistry
I came across this drama because of my love for Lin Geng Xin after The Tale Of Rose, and oh my I am so hooked and satisfied. The storyline is unique with a badass heroine and a magnificent hero, and their journey through the realms are wonderful. The slow burn chemistry is on another level, something I haven’t seen in a while. Totally a must watch! Was this review helpful to you?
