Diving into this series right after watching 2 Moons helped me understand whats going on in the first few episodes. The description of the series may come as a remake of the original 2 Moons, but this is a continuation of where 2 Moons left off. I think the production gave us a summary of season 1 as the viewers won't be able to connect to the new actors but old characters. If you have not seen 2 Moons, episodes 1-4 may feel rushed and severely cut short. However, after Episode 4, new materials will be used and the storytelling will have proper pacing to it.
The actors portrayed their characters well given that most of them are first-time actors. I have to admit that I can't help but compare season 1 and season 2 actors. They both have their own strengths, but season 1's production failed to maximize it. Season 2's pairing for me hits the spot, especially with their supporting characters. Nine and Chen are just perfect couple while Pavel and Dome give the right amount of naughtiness to it (talk about that bedroom scene!)
I am so glad I did not give up on watching after my frustration with episodes 1-4. And now, I can't wait for Season 3!
