Definitely worth watching!
2Moons was great, the actors were all very handsome and I loved the acting! Plus the OST was incredibly good for 2Moons and I’m a sucker for good music! So I didn’t think 2Moons2 was going to be worth it seeing as I loved basically everything about the first one, and after seeing that 2Moons2 was a remake, not a sequel, I was disappointed and was pouty because I didn’t like the new actors.
However, I finally watched it, expecting it to be 2Moons with the same lines and pace but different actors.
I was completely wrong.
The actors were amazing and I grew to love them even more than I did the actors from 2Moons. They felt like they had more chemistry than the original actors and they all looked so cute together I couldn’t stay upset with the cast change very long before I was dreamily sighing and fangirling at their every word.
I would say that out of the two, 2Moons2 is my favorite and one I would, and have, recommend to people.
Regarding the OST. I rated it kinda low because, and I know I shouldn’t say it, compared to 2Moons I couldn’t see the variety in songs. I know 2Moons didn’t exactly have an extensive OST, I can still sing and do the hand motions to 1 2 3 4 5 i love you, but it was more so than 2Moons2 in my opinion. However, I don’t think anyone should not watch it simply because the OST wasn’t great in my opinion, or even in your own. The OST is important, but not a deal breaker.
The story for the first few episodes is largely just a fast pace recap of 2Moons, it gives enough detail in my opinion so that if you’ve never watched 2Moons you could watch 2Moons2 and still get what happened. However, during this recap the acting was good, but you don’t get the same feel as you did in 2Moons, they don’t feel too connected and you can definitely feel that it’s rushing to tell the summary of what happened so they can just move on. When it does pass the recap phase though, the acting and the chemistry are 100x better.
In the end, if you’re reading this review, debating if you should watch 2Moons2 either because you’ve watched 2Moons and want to watch 2Moons3 when it releases or you would rather not watch 2Moons and just watch 2Moons2, I’d say go for it. It’s worth watching at least once. The acting is amazing, the story goes further than it did in 2Moons, and the actors will grow on you with time.
Just give it a chance because you might be like me and absolutely fall in love with it!
