Such a HUGE disappointment (do not waist time with this one)

It has been a long time since I posted a review. I've watched quite a few different dramas that I felt I had to go and write a review about it as soon as I finished watching, but I never did. This time I was so disappointed and frustrated with the ending to be more exact that I couldn't hold myself and I had to write about what I feel. I can even accept the fact that the writing was not that good when being a screenplay writer is part of the story line. I can even accept that there were so many things that felt short, unfinished, not even necessary, but to not even satisfy with a good ending or at least a more normal ending, that I have a hard time to accept. I considered Raphael first male lead and Kang Jae the second male lead based on the synopsis.
First, I have to say that the connection between the couples was not quite there, or for me was not equally the same. Oh Woo Ri and Lee Kang Jae even thought they were dating for so long I really didn't feel them as a couple. Maybe because I didn't like the male, I didn't warmed up to him. Oh Woo Ri and Raphael I felt them a little bit more and maybe just because the way the part was written for them but I know they were not quite perfect either. They were talking about a first kiss, he was talking about believing that faith has somebody better for him and because the way they filmed the moments between the two, with all the memories and the dreams they both had and the fact that she even reached to kiss him first which she did not do with Kang Jae, made me believe that she liked him more or at least she was feeling more attracted to him. The connection between her and Kang Jae felt awkward and cringe worthy at times, like the time they hold hands in the car and then they said they have to go pray because they held hands for too long. I mean what the heck.......... what is that? With the relation between her and Raphael I thought since the writers were pointing out that he didn't grow up with the type of family he always wanted, they will give him the family he was dreaming of by keeping him together with her. But to my disappointment it didn't happened.
Second thing that bothered me was the way I felt the two male leads were portrayed at times, and to me it looked like they were both stupid.
Third and not last thing that bothered me, but this really frustrated me was close to the end when they were both trying to win her back it was not fair that Raphael did not get one chance not even one chance to talk to her alone, but Kang Jae did have that chance at the memorial of his parents. After that the next day at her mother proposal party she had her mind made up. That was not correct if you want to give them both a fair chance. And the whole complications that are going to arise from having the baby with one guy and being married to another guy. Why do you have to complicate that baby's existence? I don't understand why? If you emphasize the fact that the female lead and Raphael had a first kiss and then a baby together, than why don't you keep that baby's parents together? Why put it in the movie, if you are going to throw the connection between them out the window? Even more, they also emphasized the connection that was building between FL and Raphael with all the times he was there to save her, and they still didn't end up together. I really do not see the point of having those scenes. I've seen dramas before where I wanted the FL to end up with the second male lead, but this was not one of them because of that baby which she should have had her both parents. If you have the pen in your hand and you write the ending, then why not keep families together? For the FL lead since she was a virgin, she would have been better paired with a man that had more experience and proof is the honeymoon moment when you have two virgins trying to do the grown ups thing and just ended up being another cringe worthy - I want to throw up moment. And don't even get me started on the stupid friendship between Kang Jae and Raphael. That was another moment that I felt I was going to throw up. Really? Really? Really writer or writers? I mean you have them fighting over FL like two roosters just to make them best friends? Really? Really? I am shocked that this script was even approved to make it to the screen. I can just keep going on, and on, and on but I'm too frustrated and the drama doesn't deserve my energy to continue writing.

I finished watching this drama and I am writing my own thoughts and feelings. I might be wrong so please bare with me.
The story line was OK-ish. It did touched an important issues and that is of women returning to work after a break into their careers, also it touched the hardship women face as single, divorced mothers so the idea was ok. Not the best of the best but not the worst idea for a drama either. Now if I get into the characters, the opinion is changing. The ML and the FL unfortunately didn't work for me not even a little bit. I felt a disconnection between them. It showed the age gap between them and I'm not talking about the way they look, because they are both good looking. I don't know if this was because there is a big gap between them in real life as well, but at times I felt the FL was holding back and I'm talking about the kissing scenes. There was this one time when he went for a kiss and he open his lips to go for a more romantic kiss and she just stood there like a wood poll. That made the whole scene awkward. The way the ML was looking at her it was just ............ I can't even find the right words to describe it because it was just too much. I understand he was looking at her with love, but that was not the look I was expecting. He was too in love with her and I don't think she was that in love with him or she didn't show it. I found myself many times ready to throw up when I was watching scenes between the ML and FL just like when you eat something sweet and is way too sweet. I got tired of the scenes where the main characters were in it and I wanted to just skip through those scenes. That is not good for a drama or a movie for that matter, when you want to skip through the scene with the main characters. I found my self liking Ji Seo Joon more and the other characters as well. I felt the ML was arrogant at times, full of himself, he acted some times like he was the center of the earth or that the whole world is gravitating around him or at least it should. I did like the friendships that were forming, even though I found a bit exaggerated the relationship between co-workers just because it's very rare in real life to have that much fun at work, or to have everybody be that close at work or to have so many things accepted at work like in this drama. I should stop here because is not gonna get any better. This is a drama that I would say this about it: if you can't find any good drama, then watch this one and if you find a good drama while watching this one, than drop this drama because there is not a big loss.

I just finished watching this drama and I have so many mixed feelings that I wanted to write something about it. To start with the story line I would say it was there even though it could have been better. The music was good. I liked the action parts of the movie and I liked how the fighting scenes where choreographed and filmed. I did like that the main character was successful in all his actions and that's because I have seen so many movies where the main character is supposed to be this well trained, well prepared fighter just to end up in a lot of scenes being beaten up. So this movie satisfied my liking where the hero gets to be just that: a hero. I did love Choi Yoo Jin character even though she was one of the villains I grew to love her a lot. She was so deeply misunderstood and she missed on so much love throughout her life that all she had left was to make her husband become the president to at least achieve one dream or one thing in her life. Her methods to do that were not the best ones but if you strip her character of all this doings and if you peel all the layers that were making her character, its visible how hurt she was inside, how misunderstood she was. What I didn't like was Go Anna character. For a socially awkward person, phobia issues, locked in a convent for 10 years, she definitely acted nothing like she was having this problems, except the flashing lights thing, but that didn't stop her to participate to a fashion show in her mother name, which by the way nobody even thought about it for 10 years but now they were having a fashion show in her memory. She surely created a few extra problems for Kim Je Ha that made him deviate from his path and always do extra just to protect her, that it was driving me crazy. I wanted to get in and just tied her to a chair or put her on a plain to let him concentrate on his plans first and then he could go to her. As far as the love between them I didn't feel it at all. It felt forced, cold, rushed, strong feelings into a short period of time and I missed that build up to get to those feelings. All in all I just didn't feel Go Anna's character at all. I think the movie could have done just fine with out her character or have some other love interest for the main character. Maybe even a love between him and Choi Yoo Jim but definitely not with Go Anna. Maybe I'm wrong but I just really didn't feel Go Anna character. Not a bad drama since it has a good story but it does at times feel like you want to quit watching it. I stuck with watching the movie for a few characters in the movie and mainly for Kim Je Ha and Choi Yoo Jim characters.

What a disappointment

I can't believe I'm writing this, but what a disappointment, for me at least. I just finished watching 2 movies with Matsuzaka Tori as the lead and I came across Call Boy. I shouldn't have watch it. While the movie touches sensitive subjects here, the making of it did not set well with me personally. For me the movie fells into the porn category and I'm just extremely disappointed that the male lead even accepted this role because by the end of the movie all I felt it was just that I was sick to my stomach. For me, the energy put into creating a movie to touch the prostitution world and so much more, was ruined by making it fall into porn category. All the sex scenes could have been filmed with just the beginning of the act, and some body silhouettes and moving camera away and let the viewers imaginations work, would have contribute more to the value of the movie. I don't want to say more just because I feel so dirty, ashamed and disappointed after watching this. Because the sex scenes were too intense, personally I think some of the debt that the movie could have had was diminished.

I just finished watching this drama and I am left somehow disappointed. Despite my disappointment I did rate some high scores because the music was good and the acting was not bad. I didn't score the story line to high because this is what brings the disappointment for me. The idea for the drama its not bad unfortunately for me the story was a bit boring at times and I found myself speeding through conversations. Like a lot of the conversations between the police officers when talking about the cases I personally found it a bit too long so I had to skip through. Then it was the way of solving the crimes. It felt like they were starting different investigations that had nothing to do with each other and all of a sudden they start connecting them all in one investigations. And one that comes to mind right now is when Oh Man Soo in the detective's Han basement started investigating some files from his insurance company that had nothing to do with the police investigation so far, and then leaves the door open and detective Na Gwang Gyun comes and sees the files and some papers and he start intertwining that with his investigation. How do you connect the two where up to that point had no connection? At times it felt like the investigation was not clearing anything, actually it was getting deeper and more complicated and more twisted which will not be bad if the viewer will not get the feeling that its just a hot mess that will never get anywhere and even they don't know anymore. The confusion doesn't stop here. I also had an issues with how the ML role was written at times. They portrait him to be this bad ass, cold, emotionless, super human, super powers entity but then he gets bit up some times like he was nothing and I'm talking in particular about scared face which was an old man but he was able to bit all this much younger and stronger guys like even Ha Ram's father. For me personally he got on with his bad deeds for too long. And once you make me see this supranatural entity with all this power and than you show me he got bit up by an old man it doesn't do it. As some people might say he was becoming more human and that is why he was not always succeeding in his fights, I will say that becoming more human was ok to stop him from teleporting and to start making him have feelings but should have not interfere with his strength. I did like the part where he start having feelings. I enjoyed that very much. I did enjoy the comedic parts through the series and I did enjoy Black's two side kicks. I loved them. But one of the biggest disappointment comes towards the end. The series leaves the viewers with more questions than answers. Black says he will stay to leave as a human next to Ha Ram but then everything he does and every action he takes is to prepare for not coming back. Well one thing I hate in life are liars and he was just that by doing that. Don't say you gonna stay by a person but then you end up leaving. That is BS. Than he asked for the highest level of punishment which meant he was going to be erased from everybody's memories which meant there was never a Kim Joon nor anything ever associated with him. You have then Ha Ram go on with her life. Also there is a mention about a husband who nobody knows and there is no mention of who that was, not even a picture shown somewhere around the house, and you have somebody telling the grim riper story which will be fine as a folkloric story but unfortunately it gets even more confusing. So when the red bracelet appeared at the end how was that possible since he was not supposed to exist, which meant she did not make the bracelet for him because Kim Joon did not existed, so there was supposed to be no bracelet. Then she gets the bracelet and gets her memories back. What memories of something or somebody that didn't exist? And if it did exist was there a previous life, a parallel life or what life because the one she was living and got old in it he didn't exist? Then again I am at it, if he never existed, why did you had him come to take her soul? I don't get it? There are still so many questions? They should have just let him be by her side as a human period. Any way the story was good, music was very good and the end very disappointing.

a light drama to watch

I just finished watching this drama. Its a nice, easy and light drama to watch. It does have all the ingredients any drama has. I watched it on Netflix and I was a little bit disappointed with the fact that they used voices over instead of closed captions. In my opinion a lot of the beauty of the movie was shadowed because of it. I have watched quite a bit of cdramas. kdramas, jdramas, tdramas and I not only got used to hear the actors voices, but even more to hear the original language which gives the movie a different depth. It feels more profound. Listening to the voices over it really took away a lot for me. Some of the more sentimental scenes lost their beauty because the voices over. The voices didn't matched with the actors and they felt cold and blank at times with no nuance in them. As for the characters at first I had a little bit of mixed feelings but I have to say I am a sucker for happy endings and that is why I would like to see JoJo and Son-oh end up together. I know a lot of the comments here were criticizing Sun-oh but I can see where he was coming from. The first night he came back and he saw her I think he either had a crush at first site or he felt infatuated with her. Either way after seeing her at school every day his feeling only grew stronger. I don't think he really went behind his friend back since before he did any move he kept asking Hye-yeong if he has feelings for Jojo and Hye-yeong kept saying no. Where he didn't play full honesty was where he did declare his feelings for her first and not at the same time with Hye-yeong as agreed upon. But at the time he declared his feelings to Jojo, her heart belonged to him so Hye-yeong didn't had any chance. Hye-yeong lost his time. He had two years before Sun-oh came back to say something to her but he choose not to. I don't know why but I don't see Jojo and Hye-yeong together. I can even understand why he told Hye-yeong that he used him and all the hurtful things. All those things that he said were coming from a man hurt in love, a man that is still in love with that person. A man that is frustrated and angry and says things at anger but he didn't really meant it. Any way I am afraid that in season 2 the producers are gonna shock everybody and like a lot of this dramas the results are not gonna be what a big number of viewers are expecting which is of course Jojo and Sun-oh together. I am waiting for the release of season 2 and I hope that Netflix will not use the voice over but they will use the closed captions and I really hope to see Jojo and Sun-oh together. It will be disappointing to let us see how the love between the two of them grew so strong just to hit us in season 2 with them not ending up together. Four years had past and they couldn't forget about each other. He still rings her love alarm and her heart is still beating pretty fast I am sure. So don't disappoint us and separate these two in season 2. Go team Jojo and Sun-oh. I have a bad feeling I'm not gonna see them together. I will wait.

I just finished watching 3 episodes. Usually I watch more than 3 episodes at one time, unfortunately with this one its kind of hard. So far I don't have a good opinion about it. If the story line is somehow ok the acting its driving me crazy. Its my first movie/drama where the male lead steps on my nerves and I want to punch his face 100 times. The female lead is not leaving a better impression on me either. If somebody would have treated me like the male lead treats the female lead, in this first episodes, I would have walked out of my job and find another way to pay the debt. He is extremely annoying. I normally do not give negative reviews and this is an exception unfortunately I was so annoyed so far that I had to let it out. I will be patient though and I will try to watch the entire season and see if my opinion is gonna change by the end. I might come back and to another review once I will finish watching all the episodes.
