Truly watch to understand all the issued addressed

When I started this show I was not expecting much especially since I don’t watch many series in the comedy genre so I felt very indifferent about it. Consider me shocked when I gave it a shot and I DO NOT REGRET my decision.

I am amazed at the messages this show addresses. It covers a range of issues regarding sex (i.e. "straight v gay" sex [as they described it], communication, kinks, relationships), lgbtq+, pregnancy, and friendship in a very comical (light?) manner. They even slightly address how discriminatory the entertainment industry can be behind closed doors. Although I wish they kept some of the seriousness of it when they are discussed I understand some of these topics are heavy for some. I enjoyed how they managed to put all of this in a very chaotic show-- making the topics somewhat lighter.

The only reason I didn't rate it a 10 is b/c the comedy genre aspect of it somewhat takes away from its many many messages. After watching Ep 9, I must say this show continues to be unique. I loved the communication and the portrayal of the characters at the reality of having STDs, communication with your partner, the scare, and just everything about it. I also appreciated the message behind surrogacy, the right to choose, parenting, and being a gay closeted man in order to protect your employment.

Another thing I enjoy about the series is that it takes time to address all the stories it creates for each character without it feeling rushed or not fully developed.

The preview for ep 10 seems to address the issues of sexual harassment at work and homophobia. I am excited to see how these two issues will be portrayed in the following episodes.

This show may even reach a 9 rate if it continues as it is now. I truly enjoy watching these issues being addressed, in general, and I find it new and refreshing that it's being portrayed in a funny "time travel" plot.

Some of the highlights for me are the introduction of a non-binary character and how they navigate themselves in the entertainment industry and surrogacy.

The series was done well overall, I disliked the ending a bit cause it felt like so many things going on but I also understood that the ML was trying to mend things right there and then so that the future does not turn out as it did. Overall, I loved the series due to the number of topics it hit in the alternative future (since it was all a "could have been this way" if the ML made the same choices). I enjoyed the small fluff ending despite it feeling rushed and it gets a 9 RATE FOR ME. I would recommend this show. ALL THESE TOPICS DISCUSSED are phenomenal.

Fluff with a hint of rivalry [Final Review]

I was not planning on starting this series until later on, mostly because when I saw the trailer I was not immediately hooked. However, after watching these two episodes, I NEED MORE.

I enjoy the cute office setting: one being the photographer and the other being the writer. Onoe, the writer, feels a bit jealous for having his work replaced by the other, which is a bit realistic in my opinion because I have definitely felt that kind of emotion once or twice. However, that jealousy/rivalry does not last long since they are soon immediately paired to work together, resulting in one of them being pouty about it. (i.e. Kawai >.<)

The episodes definitely give you more, or at least, a hint of Kaburagi and how he copes doing his job. Onoe's internal dialogue makes it entertaining and fun to watch.

I enjoy how the characters slowly start to feel their emotions change towards the other as they interact more and more as partners trying to get the next story. The manner in which it is portrayed is entertaining without it being cringe at all. I am so excited for the next episodes and hope it will be cute, especially after seeing the preview for ep. 3.

For now, it is an 8 rate because I have yet to see whether they maintain its cute storyline with a hint of funny scenes throughout or simply start well but let it wine down. I hope the rest of the episodes will pull through so I can rate it higher.

Post-ep 3: The series definitely maintained its current 8.0 rate. There were many cute moments and it continued to be interesting as both characters interact with others and navigate their new feelings.

A cute show overall.

Fell asleep watching episode 1 THREE TIMES. [FINAL REVIEW]

I am not one to fall asleep while watching a show so the fact that I fell asleep three times while watching ep 1 has me baffled. I didn't even realize that I fell asleep.

Anyway, personally episode one did not seem as strong in my opinion. So much time was focused on their surroundings, which served no purpose. Did we really need to see him watering plants for like 5 mins? There were also some scenes that seemed to change abruptly in my opinion, which confused me for a few seconds before I decided to ignore them or until I understood what happened in the scene.

However, episode 2 gave me some hope because it started to get more into their story and the past.

There are some scenes that are entertaining since I was able to keep my eyes open once I passed a certain point in episode 1.

My 7 rate may change and go higher if they continue to improve like how they slightly did in episode 2. OR it could also drop cause right now it is on a fine line for me

So far, this is not something I would lose sleep over cause obviously, I did not.

UPDATE BELOW:
Well...I finished the show. My rate will remain a 7 because the series continued to make abrupt scene changes which would leave me confused. And yes, I did fall asleep, again, in a different episode.

I must admit that I did enjoy how Sung Woo Jae used the characters from the story he was writing to describe his feelings toward Ha Yeon Woo and how they, themselves, were the characters trying to solve their misunderstanding. I wish they made this a little less confusing and hoped they would have dived more into the characters cause it all seemed extremely bland when it has potential.

It is an okay show but its worth watching for Pure's story

The show was okay but only reason I really stayed was for Pure and his story. I liked how when it came to Pure, the directors address the importance of practicing safe s3x, which I feel tends to be neglected in BLs. The actor perfectly portrays the fear one may experience at the thought that they may be positive to an STD. I also liked the way Wan and Pure's friendship is so genuine and how they truly are there for one another, even when one tends to want to deal with things alone. Pure's story with his family is a little sad but I feel it managed to portray how Pure coped (i.e. through several one-night stands and not really caring about the other person's feelings). I feel like Pure's character needs A LOT MORE SCREEN TIME and the story should have focused more on him and Folk.
The main couple was cute but the lack of communication and Pai simply being pushed around..... I just did not like this couple as much.

I have no idea what I just watched but let me explain

Now, before I begin I just have to say that I do not fetish shame and when I read the synopsis I thought, "hmm, this looks like an interesting short film." However, after watching this I am truly wondering what the fuck did I just watch.

The idea is there but was poorly executed with the lack of dialogue or monologue in order to understand the main character. I understand that sometimes one's fetish does not need to be understood by others, maybe that was the director's intent, however, it leaves the audience, such as myself, wondering if I truly wasted 14 mins of my life watching this and thinking, "okay?".

We get a scene where he is at the dentist and the dentist tells him how horny the main lead left him which then the later scene proceeds with the ML groping the dentist THEN NOTHING. There is no continuation or explanation as to if there is an affair between him and the dentist, or what was the purpose of that besides the ML's fetish with teeth. I was also left confused as to whether his fetish for teeth is for his own, his boyfriend's, or if he groped the doctor because he touches other people's teeth.

the director seemed to have tried to portray the main character's internal dilemma with his own fetish by, obviously, concealing it from others and not finding any sexual satisfaction from sex with his partner.

I gave it a 3.5 because a lot was left up for interpretation and when I say a lot I mean the entire thing since there was not much to work with besides a scene WITH A LOT OF FLASHING, which I would have appreciated a warning because my brain was stunted for a while looking at all those flashing lights to which I did not even understand the purpose of.

I would not watch it again and if I do, it would be maybe to determine if there was a hidden message somewhere in those 14 mins. If you are watching it because its rated, "R" then there are some scenes (3?) but that is all it is and maybe some more development would have made it better.

A Hidden Gem

I loved this drama so much! I have no idea why it has a 7.8 overall rating on MDL.

I appreciated how we get three different types of men and despite their differences, they come together as a family, each supporting the other through their little quirks. I also enjoyed how they managed to communicate their feelings and allowed themselves to be vulnerable with one another -- especially when not many male characters are portrayed as the vulnerable and paternal kind.
These characters discussed topics such as getting a DNA test, decision-making regarding the child, the cost of raising such a child, and the responsibilities they would have to carry. How this was discussed in a specific scene had me in aw because the 3 male characters expressed how they felt regarding the paternity test and how their relationship with the child might change once they discovered who was the real father because then the other two fathers might feel like they no longer have the right to voice their opinions regarding Haruto.
Also enjoyed how these friends have completely different personalities yet find a way to create a family for a child, they found themselves raising.

Spoiler to the ending:

The only reason I am not giving it a higher rate is because I wished that they all had continued living with Haruto OR that they all became fathers and not just one but I can see how the directors stayed true to the character's personalities.

Couldn’t see the hype but it was a good watch

First, I wish MDL had a ranking for cinematography because this series is a 10/10.

However, plot-wise was where it fell for me.

Personally, the plot was not really introduced or that apparent until episode 4 or maybe it was episode 6, however, even when it was introduced it did not give you enough screen time for the potential characters that could be the mole. The two most suspicious characters were introduced but then somewhat dropped and then didn’t resurface until the end when the audience needed to learn of who the mole/spy was. But as a viewer, they didn’t give us enough to try and be like, “omg it can be him because of this or that, etc”. I am aware that there is a novel but as someone that did not read the novel, I hoped they would still give us something for us to try and piece the clues together.

Most of the series was explicit content, which is not bad (cause it was enjoyable to watch) but I wished that they also focused on the plot along with it. If you are mostly watching for the explicit content then it's great in that sense. Now, I am not saying there is no plot at all because there is but it was just thrown in at the end, indicating that there is or could be a season 2 because so many questions were left unanswered such as: did Korn do all this to have the absolute power since he can now easily manipulate Porsche, head of the minor family? What was the huge secret that Uncle Thee knew? because he obviously hated Korn more than Gun and was adamant about it until he was killed. Who killed him? Did Porsche really just forget his uncle’s warning and accept the fact that he is now head of the second mafia family? So many questions and they had 14 episodes to address them or at least some.

I noticed that there was some frustration with Kim and Chay’s progression. I did not mind it because, as discussed with a friend, the chemistry was there but they were not the main focus of the series like KinnPorsche or VegasPete. Also, had to keep in mind that Chay fell in love with his idol and Kim’s approach towards Chay was not due to interest but for gathering information. It makes sense that they were introduced now if they truly are planning a season 2 of KP.

I sat down here and thought about whether I would rewatch this series and I can honestly say that I will probably rewatch some scenes but I would not rewatch this entire series .

The instrumental of the song was truly beautiful in the series and I can listen to that all day.

If there is a season 2 of KP I would watch but mostly to get clarification on a lot of the plot holes and questions they left unanswered in season 1. I also felt like a lot of the hype on this was because of the explicit content and the fact that it was a Mafia setting rather than the typical high school or office setting we normally get.

Episode 11 Opinion/ Thoughts

OMG just saw the latest episode of My Tooth Your Love and OMFG. EP. 11

i have mixed feelings about this episode and this is why [ THIS IS A LOT OF SPOILERS] so finish the episode first. I appreciate the fluff in the first few minutes. the whole good/bad cop while bai was giving him the bracelet was funny and cute.

things I was kinda sad and frustrated with is how Jin wants to do everything by himself. Bai has definitely expressed how he felt about Jin's family and Jin decided to hide and handle everything on his own. To be fair, I thought he was hiding something else until the last few minutes of the episode. I fucking hated THE INFERENCE of how his dad beat Jin up to the point he left him fucking bruises for telling his father that he is dating Bai. I didn't really appreciate the mother's comment of when she said, "is Bai so demanding of wanting you to tell your family". LIKE BITCH YOU ARE OKAY WITH HIM DATING BAI AS LONG AS HE DOESN'T TALK ABOUT HIM OR HIS SEXUALITY?!! THAT IS NOT ACCEPTANCE.

after seeing the preview I got genuinely so fucking mad!! wtf. Jin's father literally physically hurt him to the point that he has bruises and lashes(?) on his body. LIKE WTF. I AM LIVID RN. I mean, I am aware that this is how some families react irl but idk I guess this just triggered some things. But I am soo sad for Jin. he just wants to carry the entire burden but he is only hurting himself emotionally trying to do this all alone. Bai is with you !!! he needs to try and rely a little on his partner cause at this point, Bai is also sensing something and is worried.

also, RJ! BRING RJ BACK. THERE IS ONLY ONE EPISODE LEFT. I hope they don't rush everyone else's story. Like Big A and the hockey player and RJ and Alex. like please they have soo much potential. I hope the last episode is not rushed overall because they still need to cover so much, imo.

I tend to give these short films/movies on Gagaoolala a shot and I am glad I did.

I will try to explain without giving any spoilers but it's very difficult to do when the movie is under an hour because of the amount of significance one may take from certain scenes to explain the overall storyline.

Reading the synopsis is necessary to have some kind of understanding of who is who and where the story is currently set in time.

The black-and-white visual language was truly amazing. I am not a big fan of black-and-white films so the fact that I was engrossed the entire time says a lot.

The story is between two friends, who help one another in a time of need. Although it does not seem like it at the start since Tod is letting Hao stay with him. However, as the film progresses you see more of their dynamic and how they are as individual characters, and how they are together as they begin to live with one another.

Hao is definitely more of a rebellious character and a free bird. One that does not care about the consequences and lives in the moment. He may seem as carefree but tries his best to be a guide in Tod’s life.

Tod, on the other hand, takes a more reserved role. He seems to be content with how his life is, without really questioning anything. He has dreams but does not actively pursue them besides painting.

With Hao introduced, Hao begins to push and question Tod’s dreams in a manner that demonstrates Tod’s personality on a somewhat “deeper level”. Hao asks simple questions as to Tod’s art, what his art means, where he wants to go, why, and by when he wants to achieve all of this. Tod also reciprocates which allows the audience to understand Hao better. These two complement one another despite their opposite personalities. Although, I wished they would have dived more into their background besides giving crumps and leaving the rest for interpretation.

Additionally, it felt like the director wanted to create a more “romantic” feel between Hao and Tod by providing an intimate sex scene between them. However, the scene was not necessary and it felt forced. Yes, you can tell that the characters care for one another and love each other but love does not necessarily have to be expressed in a romantic way. Besides, after that one night spent together, Tod and Hao proceed to go back to a friendly relationship without discussing what had happened the night before, which may leave the audience in wonder at their relationship.

In the end, Hao served more as a character that loves Tod (whether as a friend or romantically is debatable) and helped him express his desire to leave and helped him achieve that. Based on their interactions, Hao helped Tod achieve his dream and Tod helped Hao by being there for him when he had nowhere to go. The last few minutes of the film were my favorite because it gives the audience a glimpse of what each of them saw in a short montage of their past/present, showing how they each shined in their own way.

As I wrote this, I had originally rated it a 7 but now a 7.5. It is not an 8 for me because it felt

1. Too short

2. The characters were given a short backstory which was not fully developed to understand them in a deeper manner

3. The sex scene felt rather rushed and thrown in there to make it a “gay film”, which in my opinion was not necessary because even if it was a movie on friendship it would have been amazing and portrayed the character’s love for one another.
4. I wanted them to express or communicate the relationship they had cause I had so much interpretation, which is not bad but sometimes I just want things to be clear for my small brain to understand.

Expected the movie to be about Sex but LOVED THE EMOTIONAL PORTRAYAL OF THE CHARACTERS

I loved how the directors demonstrated and discussed the different reasons to why Ram and Adela entered into that line of work. Adela's story is a bit sad and the movie portrays how she feels people see her and how she sees herself. She shows off this strong exterior only to see how alone and broken she truly is as the movie progresses. Ram, the rookie, manages to climb over Adela's emotional walls however, as their relationship develops into something more than friends the work they both do start to become an issue. I loved how their story is portrayed and people need to experience this themselves hence, why I will not spoil anything.

YOU WILL BE AT THE EDGE OF YOUR SEAT

I want to start by saying that this film was beautifully done. I was engrossed with the story from the moment it started and the actors did an amazing job portraying kids trapped in an adult body. Kang Dong Won (the actor, who played the 30-year-old orphan) managed to portray so many emotions: fear, confusion, guilt, depression, and acceptance. As the movie progressed, you find out how the "missing kids" have lived the whole time while they were "missing" while also watching how the families are looking for the same children. The movie projects two different times but focuses on the present and how Seong Min (orphan) and Soo Rin try to explain the disappearance of the other children and how she was the only one found in the mountains, where she and the other kids decided to play. It also showed how adults sometimes create a more "plausible" story rather than believing what a child says, even if it is the truth -- this is demonstrated when the officer goes to Soo Rin and tells her to lie to the public because even if he did believe what he saw/experience, it is not something that would be easily understood. In the end, Seong Min was willing to admit to the plausible story created in order to protect Soo Rin, the only friend he had and who believed him about what happened. SooRin of course did not allow it but he found the form to save her and continue to live the life he had, while SooRin continued to tell the truth despite others believing she was part of a bigger ploy.

[Currently Updating]: SAME FORMULA BUT STILL AN ENTERTAINING WATCH

When I read the synopsis I automatically knew how this drama would play out based on my drama-watching experience. haha. Regardless I decided to watch. It is very entertaining so far and I can tell that there is some miscommunication that leads to their divorce. It is apparent that the ML and FL are still in love with each other despite the ex-husband's alleged affair.

Both reunite at her place of employment which seems to be a place that is familiar to both since everyone seems to have some relationship with the leads. After watching episode 2, the ML does not seem to deny the "affair" or that he may still be in love with the FL however, the FL seems convinced that the affair did happen.

I am invested in the sense that I want to see what truly happened that resulted in their divorce despite their love for each other. It may be along the lines that he may have felt inadequate, or it was a misunderstanding but he still allowed himself to be in that position and hence decided to not dispute that he had an affair. He still seems to be looking out for her. despite all of this, I do want to know what has happened in their relationship so I will continue to watch.

Additionally, these two actors' chemistry is good and the comedic relief I get from their scenes is definitely worth a watch.

Depending on how the other episodes develop, I will be updating my review as I continue to watch

Ep: 3: The episode started off well. The issue I seem to be having now is with the FL character, mostly because even though her actions are coming from being hurt in the past her current actions are starting to annoy me. She obviously is still madly in love with the ML. She is currently dating someone else, who obliviously is willing to wait for her only for her to enjoy the time together IF THE ML IS NOT AROUND. But once she sees the ML she automatically makes it about him and her, disregarding everyone else. The end relevance of the divorce was not something I was expecting so props to the writers because I did not see that. However, I can suspect that it had to be due to a lack of communication in the past, which resulted in the divorce, which would not be surprising based on the FLs current actions. [my rate will remain the same: 7.5]
