This film lived up to my expectations, it's wellcrafted, got some pretty dang good jumpscare that i haven't seen in ages that makes me goes shriek in the middle of the night, I love how this film keeps on giving me goosebumps and also maintains its tension throughout the film.
This film really takes advantage of what the main character has and executes it properly to spread terror, to be honest there are many films that feature ghosts that haunt but not to the point of making goosebumps or scary as in this film, where the character Mun is said to have been blind since she was a baby and only got to see when she was an adult after she got a corneal donor, but from someone who can see ghosts (how unlucky she is), Throughout the film we see her suffering with her eyes at being able to see ghosts where it affects her psychologically, where the ending feels acceptable.
Despite how good this film was to me overall,I really only like the first and second act, where there are many memorable moments of horror from the grim reaper to the moment in the elevator and there is still a sense of Hong Kong. The third act turned out to be like a thai horror film, the vibe, and even the cinematography changed. The changes weren't really harmful, it was just that the transition was a bit of a drag for me.
Overall, one the scariest asian horror film.

60's Parasite
The first Kurosawa film that I finished, last year I tasted Rashomon but it was only willing to watch it until the opening. In the first half, I think it will be just a normal kidnapping drama, rather boring and a bit annoyed by his wife and his driver, Gondo, there is something wrong because the money ends up not being used to buy shares (somehow annoyed).
After finding the driver, this film starts to feel exciting, hunting the kidnapper while diving to the slum side makes you understand the kidnapper's feelings too, especially while looking at Gondo's house from the slum, he wants to bomb his house.
I really like it when the police hold a meeting, I feel like I'm putting up a puzzle, it's fun.

The story itself, I think it's simply about a woman who kill to lower property prices to buy her Dream Home, other than that, if you look at the flashback, maybe because it was part of her wish since childhood or to fulfill a promise to her mother to buy a flat, but i'm still confused about her big urge to achieve it, is it because the canceled contract? i don't know.
This film has funny moments too, only briefly but "burst on to his face" made me laugh out loud.
i don't know what to type anymore. That's all. Thanks

But...
They put a twist in the middle of the film, and I don't want to blame it at first for breaking the great momentum, but I did try to be optimistic. With the film becoming bad after that twist in this second half, I think I need to blame it; they just simply told the story I don't want to follow, even though it's still about the victim. Also, this second half looks like those generic trash horror films.
I really want to curse this freakin' film. Just damn, it's very disappointing.

Probably, this film could be something like eat the rich but it ends up flimsy.
As a revenge film, it feels weird. I feel like the antagonist is anxious throughout the film about Amelie's best friend died while doing anal with him, but it seems forgotten by Amelie but still affects her in a way, with all the things going on in her life that she sees a guy as her oasis, then the guy become the reason she need to get revenge while the antagonist still thinking about what he did, that's what's in my thoughts tho.
There's bunch of flashback between Amelie and her father, quite touching but it seems like it just for setting up the ending, which is quite good.
That's all I think. Thanks.

I don't like the two other story, the cast performance was okay but the moment that should be haunting was not really hit, you know, and it's really affecting my overall satisfaction of watching this film.

"You don't sing, you die. Sing off-key, you die. Score lower than 80, you die."
A ghost who's gonna kill you if you bad at singing? damn.Super hilarious; the comedy is very Thai. Just reading the premise made me chuckle.
At the beginning, there are character introductions. I thought it was going to be dull and plain, but they filled it with jokes that almost always hit me. There is talk about Mae-nak, Buppah, which was familiar to me; the parody of Lights Out short film ver. was quite funny.
When the night comes, Premika goes out to strike and hands her mic to her victims. I like it as it's usually always funny, and most importantly: the songs are such a bop. My favorite was the drunk guy at dinner; he sang a song from a Thai band called The Innocent (I looked it up), and the song title is ฝากรัก / Fahk Ruk (Entrusting My Love); it was so dreamy, interspersed with footage of the man meeting his wife in the past and fell in love.
When the people who were challenged by Premika failed, they died with bad CGI, but I can forgive it because the film is funny and I enjoyed it.
When I thought I was done, this film gave me more: Premika's ghost backstory, told through a song, titled ไถ่เธอคืนมา / Tai Tur Keun Mah (Buy You Back) (Orig. Singer: Pongsit Kumpee), and it was unexpectedly touching, heartwrenching; my eyes were teary.
I'm really satisfied with this film. Thanks.

About the scare, I don't think it's creepy, not because for the cheap jumpscare but this film addicted to CGI, the ghost in CGI was just not it, even though the use of CGI gave an opportunity to make the death scenes to be kind of creative, but overall the CGI doesn't look good.
The twist... I almost got it right, it is what I imagined, but they kinda twisted it, and I didn't expect that. I knew the man is the murderer afterall, there's also hypnotize thing I consider but then... SHE CAN DO THAT?!!

This series got the atmosphere right, the build up towards scary moment is quite great, but when it needs a hard punch to make those moment impactful and slaps, it just so weak. Those were mostly covered up by the story that absolutely intriguing; in fact, that's what kept me watching until the final episode, even though the way it feels like Interstellar kinda weird to me.
This series also looks quite beautiful, the shots, the lighting, etc. put to good use to help strengthen the atmosphere and build up.
This series ends but leaves a wedge in my heart.

In the end, I still enjoyed it and I love what I see in terms of visual aesthetic.
Do I need to read manga tho?

The live action isn't much dramatization, the animation that is represented by cells in Yumi's head explains a lot of things that are turbulent within Yumi in many ways that make sense and makes me think "oh this is what happens inside my head, when I see Yumi experience something."
The story of this drama is simple, about Yumi who goes about her daily life, goes to work, meets love, etc. but accompanied by the cells that work in Yumi's head, they try their best to help Yumi live a happy life, making this drama very exciting. The execution is good, the acting is good, I just really think this drama is good, especially when things start to get serious in Yumi and Woong's relationship, they're cute together and got a lot of dokidoki moments between them but the dynamics in their relationship feels organic.
The last two episodes is hard to watch for me, Yumi and Woong already spent to much time together, create a lot of memories together, the way they did it with that card gimmick and flashback, it broke me.
Oh yeah, the OST are also good, really helps to amplify the feelings and emotions in every scene. My favorite is "Our Story" by Melomance, they slayed with "Love, Maybe" this year in Business Proposal, and both songs affect me in the same way, that I will only take in the good memories between Yumi and Woong, like I did with Shin Ha Ri and Kang Tae Moo. I still can't move on from Business Proposal.
I don't know if I'm going to watch the 2nd season, I love Yumi and Woong too much. So yeah, 5-stars from me, thank you.

"This human being has no heart."
I'm stick with my mindset-that this is gonna be a haunted house, probably like Kayako from Ju-on because the poster has that vibe. The first act was passed by introducing the MC, Wakatsuki fascinatingly well, but I thought a lot why was it leaning to the comedy while the main character was described as a meek person and feel so far from horror.
The second act started to be serious, Wakatsuki personality used by main villain as a trigger for conflict and everything is about to go down; sometimes there are still funny moments occasionally, also at this point I realize that the editing and cinematography were so great, give this film its own taste.
The third act is where everything is going down, conflict leads to its peak, and the true horror face of this film shows up. Unnerving, thrilling, spine-chilling and there's no Kayako but this film main villain were so dang terrifying, and the Wakatsuki final battle versus the main villain was so FIRE, ended satisfyingly.
I still don't get it why Wakatsuki think the main villain was a possible next victim of the insurance fraud, like Wakatsuki met the main villain dead ass face for few times, those expresion and the way it talk should have given him red flag, so I kinda think the essays seems forced for the sake of Wakatsuki who is a meek, imo.
The actors performance deserves praises, even though sometimes they're seems over the top but overall they did well on their respective role, especially the main villain, never thought could be that scary.

A surprisingly decent mockumentary, does not offering new things but the execution is quite good.
The point begins with the Kaikai Channel crew who fake the shows about Hikiko because they have difficulty meeting the speakers about Hikiko who was shared by a Twitter user, but later it fell victims in accordance with the way Hikiko murder her victim, dragging them and skinned them. After there were several victims who had the same fate, then it was the crew's turn to be haunted. It managed to make me shudder, then the jumpscare was not fancy but effective.
I cheered a little when the crew finally met Hikiko, she looks like a normal japanese female ghost but the way she moved her body and the way she walk was quite imprinted in my memory when I watched the CGI animation ver., and the Hikiko vibe in here was almost the same as the animated version, I like it.
There's a missed opportunity imo, to make a chase scene by Hikiko in the apartment hallway or just seeing her walking throught out the apartment hallway like in the animation could be a gold scene, because she's a hardworking ghost, she's a limp but she will chase her victim no matter what, and that's creepy.
Well therefore everything that is presented in this film is well executed, from the story, jumpscare, the character, etc. so it's feels easy to digest.

I also think this is one of the funniest Ozu's film I've ever watched besides Ohayou. Trio of Chisuu Ryu, Nobuo Nakamura & Ryuuji KIta once again makes me laugh with their casual typical-father conversation, that young wife & pills talk was so hilarious, even in this film 2 times I was fooled by their unexpected prank conversation which ended up with me laugh with them, such pleasure. There are some moments that have the potential to be a drama conflict but here is made funny instead like a sulking husband bullied by his wife and sister in a family way etc.
I love Ozu.

I think this is the weakest torture porn film I've ever watched, as I recall I have watched this subgenre several times and usually always gives an uncomfortable impression but not for this one.
