Now... This was awful.

This was just bad. Real bad. They make rape joke scenes, there are a lot of homophobic things done and said by gay characters, they portray feminine gay people as predatory, some misogynists comments too... Not to talk about that shitty ending. Seriously? Buying babies? That's what we're doing now? Seriously, if I knew this would have ended like that, I wouldn't have watched it. Also, they tried to fix things saying that Ton was in love with Chon the whole time? They tried to pull a childhood friends to lovers trope from their asses and tbh it made 0 sense. And listen, the main actors are super awesome and amazing but from my POV their chemistry just..... it didn't click. I mean, their acting is great, seriously, they really move you, but........ Just not as a couple? This drama is a constant red flag and in this last ep they just fu***** things up.

It is NOT boring.

Y'all really liked all the toxic drama and fights but this season is giving us something totally different. Here we have a long term and healthy couple who talk things out. Yeah, maybe their problems are not like the ones they had on s1, they're more about the problems normal people have.
You don't get a crazy best friend who makes your exbf get raped, you get problems at work and problems about the way society sees LGBT+ people.
You get a supportive partner who loves his bf and is there for him.
You get a man dealing with so much stress he ends up breaking down in his man's arms because the world's too much.
You get love.
You get a couple that, even after 7 years, still love each other so much it warms your heart.
You get a couple that is still romantic after all this time.
I know from next week we're gonna step into the Drama (tm) and all that but so far so good. Also, people getting mad because we didn't get that many kisses or love scenes? Are you here for the plot or to see 2 men kissing?

Cute and confusing

I love SaifahZon with my whole heart. They've become my comfort characters/couple and when I got to know about this, I was just SO excited. So, here's the thing about the special eps:
Do they add something to their story? No
Do they let us see things we were supposed to see in WRU but couldn't due to COVID? Also no
Are they confusing? A lil bit.
Did I like them? ABSOLUTELY.
I may be biased, ngl, but I really liked it. Without spoilers, it let us see what happens when Fighter and Tutor were on the beach the first time + what happens after they all go to the beach together. A lot of people feel cheated by the trailer and I get it but... Idk man, you really expected a lot of drama in a couple like this? And, like... The "drama" happens when Fighter and Tutor are on the beach, you already know what happens after that, yet people were expecting idk magic or something like that, like "yeah, their whole story is now erased" or something?
Also, it's just 3 eps special, you can't ask it the same you'd ask if it was a whole ass series or another season.
Anyway, the good stuff: SaifahZon being adorbs and cute, seeing them talk from heart to heart, showing & expressing how much they love each other and puppy!Zon (you'll get it once you watch it) is just adorable. I loved it and I am really glad we got 3 more eps of these two.

One of my faves

I've seen people say it before, but they're right: if you watched 2Moons and liked the cast, then you're gonna L O V E Gen Y.
However, if you didn't it doesn't matter. There are some references to 2Moons, but you'll still understand everything even if you didn't watch it AND you'll love the cast, I promise.
This is one of those dramas that, when I finish each ep, I get a warm feeling in my chest. It's quite soft and funny, the levels of toxic topics (homophobic comments, etc) are reeeeally low compared to basically any drama I've watched, and the cast is just too adorbs. They're giving us all the cute scenes we could've had with MingKit in 2Moons s1 but with MarkKit and I love it. Also, not knowing what tf is going on with the secondary couples? I love it. It's fun to try and guess who's gonna end up with who instead of knowing things from the very beginning. Really, amazing.
