Still not crazy about the Jooah storyline at all, but the Rosa/Haneul/Jimin storyline is keeping me entertained. Rosa is just sooo sly bro she's scary. Minho cheering Jooah up was cute though!
Living for the drama this little trip brought. Honestly, I think this show is overdramatic and frustrating at times, but I can't deny that the drama is making up for it and making it fun to experience. Jooah's whole altercation with her assailant was hard to sit through because I feel like it really showed some of the issues I have with female characters in kdramas. This isn't me trying to victim blame at all, because obviously people can make odd choices when they panic and are in fight or flight mode, but I feel like there's more logical things that a woman in that situation would do, like instead of hiding quietly, I feel like most would run screaming as loud as possible to get someone's attention for help, and then when she was saved by Joon she wasted a lot of time just breathing and not saying anything or trying to point the guy out. He was still caught so that it doesn't change much, but it just kind of painted her as really incapable. And then the crying when Minho found her...this is more a nag on the acting, because the crying makes sense, but she was crying more like a whining baby rather than a woman experience and intense combo of fear, relief and trauma. And they moved on a little too fast for me, like emotionally anyway. But it made sense for them to move the plot forward. And I'm very intrigued as to what Joon is up to regarding Minho's apps that he develops. Haneul accidentally hugging Rosa while drunk was ridiculous, but I love it and Jooah kissing Joon, while stale, was also giving bc I just know Joon is up to something and Minho is gonna have a reaction to this.
Definitely enjoying the show more and more, which is surprising. Getting a better grasp of the characters now and enjoying the story more because of it. I think the only main-side character I still don't know is the neat guy roommate. Otherwise, Jooah really doesn't interest me, Minho is cute , but him and Jooah are kind of obnoxious. Jimin, Haseul and Rosa are fun to watch because Rosa is so unpredictable and it's only a matter of time before she gets even crazier. I feel like Haneul is noticing maybe. Joon is a favorite so far, he's very handsome and seems pretty nice and humble. His dad seems like an ass so I'm alread more sympathetic to Joon. The diabetic girl, Young, kinda confuses me and maybe it's because I grew up around diabetic people, but I don't understand why she gets such weird reactions from the people behind her. Is it some commentary on Korean culture I'm missing or just a thing in this story?
I actually quite enjoyed this episode more. I think the story is starting to grab me some more. In particular, the Rosa, Haneul and Jimin storyline! Rosa is scary lol but it's interesting and I wanna know where this goes. The stuff about boys and girls friendships is ridiculous to me and frankly annoying, like having to stop at 3 drinks when you're together is stupid and only encourages outdated gender dynamics and stereotypes in my opinion, but it is what it is, I can't change that. I'm probably least interested in the Joo-ah and Joon and then the girl with diabetes, but I'm still entertained so that's fun.
Finally finished this show and I've gotta be honest, from episode 13 on, I got less and less invested because the plot just felt like it was DRAGGING. This was a generally enjoyable show, the acting was the best part for sure. I did watch this show for Gongmyung's character and he was indeed a standout performance, but everyone was great. Interesting concept and promising. But I didn't feel any real romantic chemistry and I think this show would've benefitted from less episodes, personally. Another problem I had was with the action, idk if this is a kdrama thing since I'm pretty new to kdramas, but even when big scenes were happening and it was supposed to action packed, everything felt so...slow? I couldn't feel any stakes and the energy just wasn't there for me, which made it hard to really get invested in the plot. But I'm glad I watched it anyway.
Shin and Neo have to have one of the cutest meet-cute stories ever lol This whole episode was great and almost entirely a flashback of their meeting. I love that they basically spent a whole evening together and Shin got to comfortably come out and talk to Neo and also had his first kiss with him. Makes sense why they're so comfortable in ep 1 and also why it must have hurt Shin so much to see Neo and Miw kiss. Neo in all these crop tops btw >>> Absolutely fantastic. However, I am kinda nervous that I'll be SLIGHTLY disappointed about the potential endgame relationship dynamic for the trio. It feels like this episode established that Shin is gay and Neo is bi/pan, which makes me think their relationship is gonna be more like Neo is with Shin and Miw, but they're not together. Which wouldn't be quite the polyamorous dynamic I was hoping for, but either way I'm enjoying this.
This was a great episode, I liked meeting Leo and learning more about Neo and his family. I really think Leo is about to get whacked by Mae rn which is a shame because he's so cute. I am endlessly confused about how Tar is tracking the trio though, he's always like 2 steps behind them, like how did he know they were going to Leo? The reveal that Miw and Shin didn't actually have sex though omg and then Miw and Neo kissing (after some SLIGHT biphobia from Miw but I think Neo handled it well), long-awaited and so cute, but sucks because I know it hurt Shin to see and now GREAT they lost him. There was so many cute moments in this episode though, I really enjoyed it, I'm excited to see more about Neo and Shin's past in the next episode though.
Looooved this episode. I'm so glad Miw got to have her moment to talk to Neo, even though she had to talk about what happened, they're getting closer and hopefully will be nicer to each other. Also Miw's wig alone was enough for a high rating, she looked stunning. Love her scenes with Kiki, I really felt for Kki, but DAMN did she have to do our trio like that? There was more Mae which I looove of course, and she looks SO much better, out of that ugly ass waitress uniform. For some reason I was feeling some tension between her and Ter? Hoping they don't go down that route. The height difference between Neo and Shin and Miw kinda had me going crazy, it's cute. Once again the preview had me hooked, I can see stuff between Neo and Shin are about to escalate and I cannot wait.
Same rating for this episode as the 1st, but these episodes felt different. This episode definitely held my attention, but I also felt like the plot might've slowed down quite a bit? That's not totally a bad thing as it's basically made me much more excited for the next episodes. Lot of suprising things happened, mainly concerning Mae and the ransom plan. I feel so bad for Mae, her storyline is so sad and I feel a lot for her. It feels like Mae might go down an unexpected path. And for our trio, things just derailed even further. I was hoping Phon didn't die in the beginning, but alas he did. One thing I'm hoping can change a bit is the "enemies to lovers" vibes within the trio, specifically between Miw and Neo. It's a trope I don't enjoy, so while at first it's kinda fun, I hope they can put that behind them and get closer sooner rather than later. I guess they're on the run now? After SHin helped save Miw and Neo from Ter, which is exciting, that's a scenario I wasn't expecting and I think this is gonna be fun.
Was intrigued to watch this show because I heard it was a poly relationship and I NEVER see enough poly representation in media, let alone good representation. As I've just started time will tell if this truly does plan out well and is a healthy portrayal or if it even is poly, but as of this episode I DEFINITELY enjoyed it and it's looking good so far. This was way more action packed than I expected it to be. I had no clue what the premise of the show was and I like how all of their paths were directed towards each other. I'm already kind of attached to these characters and right now I don't remember anyone's names except Miw, Neo and Shin. But I'm excited to see where this goes and how the situation develops.
Had kinda lost interest before, but this has me vibing with the show again, because I am SO interested in what's happening with these zombies. Feels like there's some sort of mutation or something going on with virus and how it manifests with different character's personalities or motivations that I'm not quite understanding yet. The teens in the classroom still kinda piss me off because they make so many not smart decisions lol and I wish the archers would collect their arrows because I can forsee a problem. Cheongsan, Suhyeok, and Onjo's dad are probably my favorite characters right now. Interested in the next episode for sure.
