intriguing story that hooks you in
originally came into this thinking it’d be one of those ‘filler’ dramas I watch when nothing exciting is being aired. but it was actually one of the best shows I’ve seen in a while. while it doesn’t do anything widely unique in terms of story, it brings out the question of how justice is defined by different people and it leaves us wondering at different points of whether violence or the law would have worked better in that situation consistently. it also had a rather great list of side characters who made the Lee Ro Um Group feel much more full of life. it does get a bit slow at times, but the eventual plot twists made it worth itWas this review helpful to you?
A decent time-travel drama
it’s taken me a while to actually finish this drama. getting to only episode 9 on my first attempt and than placing it on hold for a few months. I’ve only just came back to it and completely restarted the watch as it’s a rather complicated show to just jump head first into. It is definitely a drama worth being in the time-travel genre (Not As Good As signal though) with its constantly changing dynamics, unexpected plot twists etc. I haven’t rated it higher because I’m just generally not a overall big fan of dramas like these, at times it felt really confusing to know which was the past and which was the present. But overall, the changing relationships between the ML and his family, the strenuous affair of the wife and the secretary, and the FL’s unyielding spirit in finding out the truth made it a worthwhile watch. it isn’t one of my favourite dramas, but is definitely something I can see myself revisiting in the near future to pass the time. Was this review helpful to you?
A thrilling dive into the work of undercover detectives
the worst of evil is probably one of my most favourite crime-genre dramas ever released. it doesn’t bore you with endless conversation whilst also keeping it flowing without 100 fighting scenes every 5 minutes. Ji Chang-Wook is probably by far the best casting that could have been made to be the ML, his transformation from a regular police officer into a undercover drug gang member is really well done, and the emotional strain of that is shown through his relationship with his colleagues and his wife. overall, the worst of evil deserves this rating I’ve given it, it isn’t boring, it has exciting action, and there are constant points in the story where you think Junmo might get caught out. can’t wait to see future dramas like this. Was this review helpful to you?
