CSA (Crime Scene Analysts)

The series is an innovative cerebral type of drama ? on crime scene analysts, while on the job. There is an innovative element of storytelling in each scene in this white collar crime investigative enforcement series, as the mystery unravels on the the stoic portrayals of crime scene analysts (CSA). The drama depicts intuitive human side on corporate espionage on trade secrets and the capture of concealments on the inevitable villainous culprits thickening the plot lines. Unique drama ? Great Watch ?for those who prefer attentive watching of dialogues and the intently placed clues in each scene containing the episodic revelations.

Miss S is a World Class Tele-Series

Gao Weiguang is a truly wonderful and a very versatile actor as Police Superintendent Law Enforcer as an instinctively savvy gentleman. Ma Yi Li as a very worldly, avant garde and equally instinctively sophisticated socialite, whose young life was marred by tragedy portraying the title lead heroine of the of the episodic drama was top-notch. The immense chemistry infused with that intense camaraderie in the portrayals of the entire cast is testament that talent and adaptive skills on characters is an ingredient, which makes an on-screen masterpiece. The murder mystery series has a very modern vibe albeit set in the Republican Era. A must watch now on HBO. We are keeping our fingers crossed for another season.

The Great Craftsman is a Republican Era Gem !!!

The series is a great watch for those aficionados of the 1920’s and 1930’s Republican Era of Sina -Asia and the European Colonial influences in the rest of Asia-Pacific. The scenes are wonderfully set in a great backdrop of the Warlord Shanghainese Era with great glorious historical memorabilia of pre-WWII rebuilding in Asia-Pacific. The portrayal of Yang Mi as Fu Han Jun as a gifted architect is of superb Hollywood Caliber (Young Asian Audrey Hepburn), in period costumes, wonderfully worn in historical accuracy. The male lead Wallace Huo as Shen Qi Nan is on top leading man status (akin to a Young Asian Warren Beatty/James Dean) in the series exuding great chemistry with Yang Mi. The genre of the tele-drama is highly and distinctly Asian Sophistication, evoking an era almost comparable to the modern day 1993 film Age of Innocence as lensed by Martin Scorsese. The Series is World Class.

Yang Mi … a naturally gifted actress

A desert flower, hailed as one of the four beauties of ancient China during the Han Dynasty. Wáng Zhāojūn 王昭君, played beautifully by the Young Yang Mi 杨幂 is a great character for the inner strength of women even in Ancient Times. Symbolic of Cultural Unity of marriage between the Han and the Hun. Wáng was admired for her peacekeeping powers, on how one woman was more effective than an army, married off by force to the evil Xiongnu chief, who threatens invasion unless he is given Wáng. (Aptly comparable to the Iliad - Helen of Troy, where men go to war because of beauty, in a quest for the fairest in the land). The series was truly exquisitely astonishing and wonderful to watch from beginning to end, as the Very Young Yang Mi (also a certified legendary beauty in China), then still in her teens, innately and naturally gifted as a thespian, was truly vibrantly in character and already top notch in her portrayal of Wáng Zhāojūn.

A Beijing Love Story, a Modern Coming of Age Travails in Life of Millennials in China. Great Watch

The drama is very realistic with a hint of modernism and neoliberalism in the plot lines. The actors Li Chen, Chen Sicheng were all aptly multi-faceted and developed in character on the aims and aspirations, complications of relationships of the new millennial generation. Yang Mi in this modern drama exuded once again that rare youngish and very dazed vibrancy alongside the very talented Tong Liya, displaying age-stage transformative maturity in their dramatic portrayals with Zhang Zin Yi and Monica Mok akinly similar to the allegorical reference to the four seasons (Summer, Spring, Autumn and Winter). Chen Sicheng is a modern day visionary actor and director in making this series. The series gave us the same vibe of an older film, the 1994’s Reality Bites starring Winona Ryder and Ethan Hawke.

Baby (Bai Bei Er’) is a world class film … a gem

My personal favorite film featuring Sina-Asian Global Superstar Yang Mi. An encapsulating narrative and masterfully evocative film, in a quest for a quest for Social Justice and key administrative reformations under the “One Child Policy” and Foster Care on a marginalized sector of children born with deformities and disabilities. The film wonderfully assert in narrative, a very moving story involving realistic characters dealing with which may be an actual on case- specific flawed bureaucratic policies of a country, which may just be enveloped in a long entrenched and autocratic welfare and benefits system for this marginalized sector. The film and portrayals blissfully present the humanity in foster care adoption and the advocacy of civic consciousness on this marginalized sector. Naturally and innately gifted Thespian Yang Mi known for playing larger than life characters on screen and in tele-drama series took a major great leap in taking on the role of a Jiang Meng, an on the surface Plain Jane yet with an inner plateau of immense personal resiliency and emotional strength Jiang Meng, aptly deserves a much hearty applause for this remarkable portrayal in kudos and laurels. As this modern day independent film is a cinematic gem truly deserving of much positive critical acclaim as well as a much deserved socio-civic political validation in accolade, with credit and distinction also an applause, as well from the “bees” (fans, supporters and avid followers of Yang Mi and in general the viewers.

EL: TLTWTMPB is a marvelous XIANXIA Drama Series

The epical barometer of a XIANXIA adventure series, developed from a WUXIA Sina-Asian Series of action martial arts action adventure and the mystical lives of immortals, gods, spirits and demons containing a cultivation story in a cross-pollination from the influence of Taoism and Buddhism. Making the Series EL:TLTWTMPB a pioneer adaptation on screen of an Eastern Fantasy Novels with that rare element of having a orientalist brand of honor on warring states in the story. The series is a must watch even in the coming decades. Exquisite and flawless portrayals by the lead stars Yang Mi and Mark Chao joined by the finest equally stellar ensemble cast, on high range cinematic style in cinematography and a catalytic logical coherence in the plot lines and storylines in each and every progressing episode. EL: TLTWTMPB is a modern classic on this dramatic genre.

Wudang is a must see Hongkong Fantasy Martial Arts Wuxia Film.

A widowed American Martial Arts Expert Tang Yunlong takes his daughter to a Taoist Martial Arts Competition. In this journey meets the Bombshell Martial Arts Expert, Tian Xin. A modern day psycho-thriller

The film is a must watch. Yang Mi’s versatility as a innocent girlfriend with a cathartic side as a woman on the verge of searching for change is clearly dauntingly present in this film, as a victim sans a villainous temptress. Chen Kun as the male lead was a realistic multi-faceted victim running amuck and an unsuspected villain in this psychological thriller was compelling to watch. The film caters to those who would prefer to be on the edge of their seats, as the sequencing and cinematic cinematography was top notch. The ending too is a spinning psychedelic run.

Phantasmagorical Film !!!

A adventure film on phantasmagoria, where humans are trapped in a parallel universe, in the full reverie of an alternate barbaric realm of phantasms, dreams and the real world. This modern film in sequence has utilized changing successions or combinations of fantastic, bizarre, or imagined and dream types imagery of slavery, serfdom in a Herculean Quest to fight, battle, hurdle and slay lurking destructive gargantuan monsters, cyclopean ghouls, in a parallel universe of warriors in transformative supernatural elements among mortals and gods. The Bratty Bride

The Drama is fun and awesomely enjoyable to watch from beginning to end, as even the plot twists to torment the lead characters, still has that parody of interesting dark comedic elements moving the tone of the series to remain lighthearted. The satirical highlight of the drama is on the slapsticks and antics of the highly spirited Yang Mi as Yan Man, a destitute orphan who in a twist of fate ends up in an affluent household in Pre-War Republican Era in Shanghai. A Rom-Com Type of Drama of a Cinderella Story no Bee and avid viewers of dramas should miss and truly watch. The drama becomes a must watch for Mini Yang’s Younger Follower Bees, to see a young gorgeous woman evolve into a truly fine thespian together with a wonderful ensemble cast all in melodramatic farce character. Yang Mi already have here that layer of dramatic persona in character portrayals of a sweet, lovable goody two shoes on even footing in travesty earning wonderfully her triumphs as the story of the series progresses.
