Very difficult to write this review without giving out spoilers. I would die to see Krist and Singto in any show together and this a god sent gift to mankind.
The story is sad and it will remain sad no matter how many funny bits they throw in it. It's amazing how many emotions the characters portrayed in a mere 17 mins and how much insight we got into their relationship in that little time.
The acting was brilliant, especially during the climax scene. I was sobbing by the end of it. Indeed, Singto and Krist's chemistry is on a different level. They just flow?
Tod was so so so so adorable and funny.
I usually don't notice the music much aside from actual songs with lyrics but I saw this like 4 times already, with and without subs, so I did notice the instrumental songs in this. The music director should get a raise because they did a really great job with the music. The music complemented the funny and sad bits and elevated the storytelling.
Even though this is a bittersweet drama it is full of fun and hilarious snippets. No regrets crying in the end because I actually laughed out loud at many parts. Would rewatch it like a 100 times. The fact that it's only 17 mins but made this big an impression on me is admirable.
I wonder how their relationship would have turned out. If anyone is good at writing and later writes a fanfic about this please let me know lmao
edit- I just saw that mdl has put the synopsis so my keeping this review spoiler free holds no significance but oh wellllllllll

The plot is mediocre. Best friends get drunk and sleep together. One of them has a girlfriend which makes things more complicated. Surprise, surprise the girlfriend is a bitch.
First of all, I would like to mention how much I hate Knock. Even when Korn and Knock slept together, Knock kept acting like Korn raped him or something, dude it was consensual sex, you are to be blamed as much as him, why the fuck are you acting this way? You dumb sorry excuse of a grown ass man. And later on, he doesn't do anything to redeem himself. He remains indecisive, keeps playing with Korn's feelings, and is forever a big of a slut. One would imagine him being nicer to Korn after hearing about how Korn's ex-boyfriend cheated on Korn but noooooooo, he two times and gives him false hope and once even goes as far as to say that he chose his bitch girlfriend but would like their relationship to be the same. Lol fuck off, Knock does not deserve this piece of shit and I stand by my opinion.
The only complain I have with Korn's character is that instead of showing him as a person, we see him more as a person in love. Idk what his personality is.
Yihwa, my girl is the star of this shitty show and the reason why I watched the entire damn thing. Fai is a cutie too.
The doctor is fucking disgusting and Farm is really dumb oh lord.
My head hurt watching this. Proceed with caution.

Long Vacation is a real gem. It amazes me how the story and the characters are so forward and even though it such an old drama, the emotions still remain the same. It is timeless. The actors, every single one of them, have brought justice to their characters. I would really like to applaud the casting team too because the actors' appearances compliment the characters and also thank them for casting Takuya Kimura as Sena. This drama has a simple plot, it doesn't have an evil villain, it doesn't have any smidge of thriller and supernatural aspect unlike dramas nowadays, it is just a story about people. The characters and their growth is what makes this drama shine. All the main characters are incredibly different from each other and they somehow still complement each other. I absolutely love their clothes in the show too and oh lord, Takuya Kimura in those shirts with that hair //swoons
In the beginning, I didn't care about Sena? Sena was just another guy. But with every passing episode, I grew attached and I silently and sometimes not so silently began rooting for him, praying for him and scolding him. Sena's sincerity in everything, his hard work and his sensitive nature are all incredible qualities of him I admire. I loved to see him break down his walls. The way this drama, in just 11 episodes, has portrayed Sena's growth is beyond words. He is just one of my favourite characters of all times now because he is so human- he is fragile yet strong. His relationship with Minami intrigues me so much because on paper they are two incredibly different people but in reality, their compatibility is no joke. The mutual respect and understanding they have for each other makes their relationship strong. They are each other's shelters and let me tell you, when you find a person like that, facing the world gets easier. I just love Sena so much and goddd I can't even begin to rave about how Takuya Kimura is a gorgeous, amazing person with such a charming smile!!!!!!!!!!
About Minami, I didn't have much expectations with her when she made her entry into Sena's house. She just seemed too loud for my liking. I was wrong. People might think Minami is aloof, but infact she is always aware of her actions and she is always a responsible woman. She carries herself with dignity, refusing to back down and take shit from anyone. Her positive outlook on life is something I am quite envious of. In the coming years, I aspire to be a strong woman with a shit load of courage like her.
This review is getting long because I have so many feels rn but I'll stop now.
All in all, if you are having thoughts about whether to watch it or not, just do it really, you'll absolutely love it. Warning- you might end up crying about Takuya Kimura's smile but no regrets there really

The controversy in question is- the 14 year old kid has a crush on his mid 20s teacher.
The synopsis states that this story is spanned over several years starting from when Akira is 14 year old, a senior in Junior High School.
There have been infamous talks about the show and the ratings of episode 1 have been pretty low. Ratings for episode 2 however have increased. A low rating of a show isn't reason enough to not give a show like this a try.
Omg isn't this pedophilia?!?!
A big NO.
As we can make out from the first two episodes, it's quite clear that Hijiri is aware of how wrong even considering the feelings towards a kid are. The show begins with her talking about how she fell in love with her student in 2015. The medley of small clips in the beginning indicates that she left that school(or he left maybe?). The point is that the story that follows is merely a flashback as to what went down in 2015. I think the story will continue from 2018 when the guy is an adult.
Hijiri is a responsible teacher and the first time the student even confesses, she doesn’t even consider the possibility that it’s a love confession but takes it as words of respect meant for her.
I am also pretty sure from the clips shown at the beginning of ep 1 that Hijiri knew that her feelings were wrong, morally. She decided not to act upon it, resisted and made a decision to leave (from what I gather from the few seconds shown in the clip). This show is not pedophilia!
There are times when I find Akira to be brash and difficult, impatient yet thoughtful. This is precisely how a 14-year-old kid behaves. I can't explain how much intrigued I am by this show.
I understand that this show might not be everyone's cup of tea but however, I urge everyone to give it a watch without having any bias or preconceived notions about the show. Don’t reduce this show to anything based on what you have read or heard, at least watch the first two episodes to arrive at a final judgment.
Why do you need to watch this?
- If you are into romance, you simply need to check it out
- The show is wonderfully directed; it's almost like a film. With the main leads appearing in black and white, all alone on the screen talking about their internal feelings for a second or two. Pretty artistic and goes well with the theme. It delivers their emotions so properly, I can’t explain it- you have to watch it
- The chemistry of the 2 main lead actors is quite frankly electric
- The lead actor Okada Kenshi is super cute! Especially when he smiles!
I pondered over what to rate the rewatch rating since there are only 2 episodes yet but I have watched the episodes twice already, therefore the high rating.
I will edit this review as I watch the show accordingly and make changes if needed to the ratings and content.

It started off promising but I couldn't keep watching it because of some of the dumb decisions Michi makes. Even though she is the adult, she doesn't seem to understand the world or the consequences of her action.
I think they got the casting right. Though, the main lead isn't that good of an actor but his face makes up for it.
Some people may like this drama but unfortunately it isn't my cup of tea. Shame, I love dramas like these.

I went in with low expectations and came out thoroughly satisfied. I rarely finish an entire drama. I dropped my first kdrama BOF mid-way, dropped Buzzer Beat at its last episode, haven't watched DOTS past ep 8 and the list goes on and on. I like raw human emotions, without any extra garnish on top, and I like good endings, not necessarily happy ones but good ones nevertheless. This one had a happy ending, a bit rushed, but a nice one.
The female lead is headstrong, someone who is determined to make something out of herself because of the circumstances she had to face. I found her a bit selfish at times, found myself relating to her at others, but found myself always rooting for her. She won't disappoint in the end!
Gahhh. The male lead and his smile is killer. His character is great too. Loved the chemistry between them, something which was quite natural but quite electric as well.
The star of the show for me was Hinata. Terribly cute and terribly intelligent.
One of the rare dramas with no villains or bad characters. It's a must watch in my opinion!
