A feel good drama

In a sea of skin ship romance, gory thrillers and melodrama that annoys me to the bones, this drama came to me like an early spring rain. Refreshing, leaving me wanting for more. As expected from Reply 1988 writers, this is a perfect slice of life drama that was so enjoyable and funny. Uju is the highlight of the show, hands down!! I felt this drama in my heart, the various patients, going through life and death, alongwith their family members and the doctors, I felt it (I cried when kids died there). All in all, this is a good break from all those nerve racking dramas, and I definitely recommend it. I'm still yet to watch the 2nd season so this review is only for the 1st season.

Humans are scarier than evil spirits

Fantastic drama! The storyline was so surreal and amazing, it will make you hooked on to your device until you finish it completely. But there are some drawbacks tho. For example, Sanyeong's mom was dumb and stupid till the very end, and I would say selfish too. She only thought about saving her daughter I agree, but in the process she endangered her. Her quest in saving her daughter was running away from every dire situation. She even concealed Sanyeong's father's family secrets and was acting like a lunatic everytime Sanyeong asked about it. She really pissed me off. Hongsae was a brat at first, but his senior's death changed him, and thank goodness for that, cuz I could not tolerate two annoying characters at the same time. He was greedy for promotion but later realised the real meaning of being a civil servant. Now coming to the evil spirit, Hyangi. Damn, she was a real tyrant, just because she wasn't loved by anybody. What I understood from her backstory was that, Hyangi didn't mind being poor, she wanted that happiness that was snatched from her by her own acts of selfishness and greed. When she said, "Why can't you love me?" to Sanyeong's mom, I felt her pain PHYSICALLY. Getting killed because of some psychopathic heiress of a business company wanted her husband's business to flourish, was seriously the most painful part, as Hyangi's teenage and the rest of her life was snatched from her without her knowing. That's why, humans are lot more scarier than evil spirits, and conclusively, this drama was super fantastic. Probably the best work of Kim Taeri.

In the world where everyone thinks that they're special, they're either a predator or a prey

Predictable yet enjoyable. I finished it in one day. Only because Sohee was marvellous in acting out the vengeance personality. This drama showed us how vengeance turn us into monsters but sometimes, it's the only way to peace.
Her fury, her sheer desperation to avenge her dad was so nerve-wracking to watch, kept me on the edge. This is the story of Jiwoo to Hyejin, a battle of monsters and humanity. Her heart which never once didn't beat for revenge was a spectacular view. Highly recommended if you like thrillers and don't mind cursing and swearing

You gotta try hard for this one

Honestly, it was really confusing at first, but if you observe and watch it and not rush things, you will have a good chance of understanding it at first episode itself. For me, I had to repeat certain parts of episodes to understand the scenes succeeding them. It was a complicated network of past and present. Coming to the actors and their portrayal of the characters. Jeon Yeobin as Han Junhee/Kwon Minju was perfect. From being a shy, coy girl named Minju in 1998 timeline to a career driven, independent and proud Han Junhee in the present, it was sheer perfection. Liked her more than Vincenzo here. Next, Ahn Hyoseop as Goo Yeonjun/Nam Shihyeon. I will say this, cuz nobody else will, he was the most confusing character in this drama. You can't understand and figure out what his deal is, until the end of the drama. Yet his acting was pretty natural I'd say, especially that bl cameo story with Rowoon as Taeha was amazing actually. Kang Hoon as Jung Ingyu. Man I hated his character no offence. He liked Minju, that was perfectly fine, I mean second leads are supposed to fall for the FL, but ditching your best friend who once saved you from getting bullied by your colony kids for a girl?? That some immature and rude move. I so desperately wanted Shihyeon to ditch him and not be his friend anymore, and I wouldn't be lying if I say that I also hoped for Ingyu to be the killer, so much, just so he'd be out of Minju and Shihyeon's life. He was that infuriating, and his expressions kinda looked like psychopaths. Anyway, conclusively this drama is a pretty good watch, but you might feel an urgency to finish it as soon as possible, as I did get impatient by the time I reached the half of it, tho I do recommend it, it's a light thriller romantic so you guys can give it a watch.

We all are standing on the border between normal and abnormal

A truly inspiring Kdrama. I felt physical happiness and satisfaction after every episode. From being oblivious to how mentally unstable people behave to being like them, everything in there made me happy and satisfied to the core. It was very pleasing drama, and some notable points will be discussed down below:
1. Park Boyeong: As psychiatry nurse Jung Daeun. She was previously a nurse from Internal medicine unit, but was switched over to Psychiatry because the head nurse there thought that Daeun was slow, when in fact, she was just empathetic. After she started as a nurse in psychiatry, she understood the depth of her own heart. She understood her own thinking process and her methods of mental defense. The way she portrayed depression and self harm through her own life, it was mind-blowing. She did an incredible job in making us realize that we won't understand how exactly depression really feels unless and until we experience it ourselves. Good job, Boyeong.

2. Yeon Woojin: As Proctologist Dong Goyoon. Damn this guy was the most laid back yet most realistic doctor I have ever seen. From being a patient with severe anxiety to being a total heartthrob, he had everything a woman wishes for in her partner. truly a marvel. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that he in fact fought for his love and did not give up when Daeun told him to. Very rare a trait I must say.

3. Jang Dongyoon: As Song Yuchan. Okay I have always hated love triangles, it just ruins the mood, like it did in Welcome to Samdal-ri. But this guy, oh my god!!! He set the standards for being the best friend even after having a crush on Daeun since high school. He was one of the most perfect second lead I have come across (the others being Hwang Inyeop from True Beauty and Jung Haein from While You Are Sleeping). He really had the best growth and maturity development step by step through out the series. I loved that it wasn't rushed.

These were the main characters, other than these, all other characters were a perfect blend of happiness and satisfaction for me. Highly recommended. Also this drama actually put forward a very good insight about mental health, depression, schizophrenia, delusion etc. No exaggeration whatsoever. I really don't know why people said that it didn't portray it properly.

A masterpiece

Just from the first episode you will know that this is a pure masterpiece. I've watched so many dramas but none of them made me feel good like this one. The series of events occurring in every single episode was pure gold. It relates to our student life so much that I almost forgot the boundary line between the drama and reality. Beautifully crafted, the characters were just chef's kiss. The OST was beyond this universe. You'll feel like a high school girl in every moment of this drama. I definitely recommend this. This is just magical, nothing else

not bad, not great

well yeah, I will agree on one thing. Both Tae-Hee and Se-Joo were annoying and whining bitches. They were so full of themselves that I almost felt sorry for Si-Hyun and Soo-Ji. Soo-Ji was actually very practical and brave kind of girl. Yeah since she was the second lead so she gotta show some evil moves but even that wasn't as irritating as Tae-Hee's normal behaviour. I mean... Yeah Si-Hyun did hurt you and that was wrong, but you gotta get acts straight girl! Everytime Si-Hyun comes with an apologizing puppy face, you melt down. I mean.... C'mon!!!! Have a personality of your own dude!!! But anyway, Soo-Ji carried the show way better than I had expected. Y'all can try it out once

Too annoying

I really don't think that this drama needed 16 episodes. It was so unnecessary and time consuming. Anyway, let's get into the review

1. I honestly like Rowoon but I don't know why but he gets roles that are pretty irritating and annoying (totally my opinion). Here in this drama, he actually resembled a stalkerish paedophile althroughout the drama, with no consideration of personal opinion or boundaries whatsoever. He totally degraded his self worth here.

2. I honestly never watched any other drama of Won Jinah so I will base my opinion on this particular drama ONLY. Won Jinah as Songah was so intolerable. It seems like she's always annoyed or irritated somehow. I mean c'mon man! That's not being a professional person, that's being an absolutely mean person with an incurable bitchy personality. She has her pride up the sky, which is really good at some point. But when your confidence goes into your head, you're bound to mess up. And honestly, even after catching her cheating boyfriend, she is cussing and yelling at that one person who tried to help her, I'm like... WOW! I mean, how much more of a bitch can you be hon? Then, she's clearly ashamed (or scared) of admitting to her otherwise annoying mommy that she has a boyfriend. Okay I get that she had a critical operation but c'mon!! Honestly I think that Songah didn't deserve Hyunseung, and she actually deserved getting cheated. Her whole demeanor towards Hyunseung was also intolerable. Just because he was her junior, does NOT mean that he deserves to be treated like that (well Rowoon might have deserved that. Provided that he himself was a creepy stalker)

3. Songah's mom. God what the hell is wrong with this woman? Always trying to meddle in her daughter's business. Like shut the crap honey! Okay maybe Songah was too cruel as to never answer her phone, this woman was so manipulative. She didn't want to let her daughter have a boyfriend EVER! Like what's your deal dude? Has serious abandonment issues for her husband cheated on her. Is delusional, constantly saying that maybe his husband had a sway of heart, and chanting the same sentence of her husband promising her to never abandon her, like a mantra. Honestly I know that she had problems in her life but no, she cannot be tolerated.

3. Jaeshin is a pretty good character if you ask me. Yeah he did cheat on Songah by agreeing to marry the chairman's granddaughter, and he was a jerk to Songah, and not accepting his mistakes. But then as the episodes progressed, he did have a character development. Overall he had a good character sketch minus that cheating part. That's unforgivable.

4. Hyojoo.... Oh God! She's not only delusional but also had obsession issues. She wasn't in love with Jaeshin but was downright OBSESSED with him. Still she was better than Songah as she didn't allow her man to treat her like trash because she was well aware of her self worth. But attempting suicide because your crush rejected you.... That's some 12 yr old's hormonal move.

5. Haeun. The daughter of Hyunseung's second elder sister Yeonseung. Man she was WAY ahead of her age and that's... Cute yet annoying. She acted Miss know-it-all and that sometimes pissed me off.

6. Jiseung. I've watched more than 200 Kdramas at this point but I've never seen a dumber girl than Jiseung. I mean she acts like she's flour bombed by a guy in her teenage years. She was the most dumb and idiotic character ever.

Overall this wasn't the best creation of the Korean Entertainment industry, provided that dramas like Goblin, Crash Landing on You and The Mouse was created in the country. Could've been better if someone else instead of Jinah would be there.

From 22 to 22

Sangzhi meets Jiaxu when she was 14, and fell in love with him when she was 17 and he was 22. Jiaxu was her brother's best friend and honestly, this is the healthiest drama ever. The plot, the acting, the storyline was amazing in so many levels. Sangzhi was very personality driven, never accepted unlawful behavior from anybody. She's by far the smartest character I've seen. And damn!! her brother Sangyan was the most beautiful character to exist. He really raised the bar for brothers and best friends. And Jiaxu! damn that man is one charming man!! his efforts to win Sangzhi was just worth dying for. Conclusively, this is the best drama I've watched. Highly recommended!!

it's so boring!

honestly at this point, where I have watched like... millions of dramas but I've never seen such pathetic characters ever! I mean what the hell is wrong with Na-Bi?! Jae-Eon is clearly a walking, talking red flag but she can't see that? is love blind in such a pathetic amount??!! Just get a personality sweetheart! this is so annoying and painfully repetitive! at this point I wanna drop watching kdramas altogether! why can't they make more interesting dramas like Goblin or Memorist?! Also, even that dyed haired woman! she was a total b***h (pardon my language)!! both Bit-Na and Na-Bi were pathetic bitches. Song Kang's Sweet Home was way freaking better!

Until I met you, amidst a snowstorm of love

Honestly I dislike long dramas, but this one, was too lovely, too fluffy, too precious to not finish. Every moment, every little thing shown was close to my heart and I felt it, every single time. I've seen people complain about Jinmai being shy around Leo even after dating for 2 yrs, but see, a person in love will know it better, if you love someone in a proper way, they'll make you feel flustered with a heart fluttering in your chest every day, they'll never cease to make you fall in love with them everyday. Skinship is not the only form of love and it's high time these new drama viewers accept that. For me, Yin Guo had the most realistic and relatable reactions to Yiyang's portrayal of love. Blushing and getting flustered everytime their hand touches, or shying away from PDA. That's what people in love for the first time do. Now, coming to Jiang Yang and Meng Xiaodong. My lord, they portrayed healthy sportsmanship like nobody else. Always feeling inferior to Yiyang's talent and vigour, Xiaodong never EVER let it come in between their friendship and brotherhood, and even after being nemesis with Jiang Yang, he didn't turn away when it was the matter of bringing Yiyang back to the field. They're by far the best examples of brotherhood in dramas. Then, Yin Guo's mom, Wu Qian, at first I thought that she'll be a bitchy mom like the rest but naah! She's the sort out and cool mom type. Really elevated my expectations. Every single character was chef's kiss, beautifully curated. 100% recommended.

Just beautiful ✨

I'm gonna say that, this drama was the most beautiful and well maintained one. It's a major success mainly for two reasons. One, the actors were not a fan of unnecessary misunderstanding and drama, and two, the main actors as well as the support actors, all of them have done a mind blowing job. Well, it may seem at first that the female lead is a bit clueless and airheaded, but as the story progresses, we see that she really has self esteem, which actually misses from some of the dramas. Being a bright girl, both by beauty and brain, she was what is called 'perfect'. The same goes for the male lead. Honestly, we always see the male leads are the gods of misunderstanding in other dramas, but here, trust me, he clearly knew what he was aiming at and what he wants, and that's why he was a pro at dodging every unpleasant situation that came across his way. He also believed in his girl immensely, and that's why he didn't pay any damn attention or interest to other people's opinions. These things are very rare in dramas. But since no drama is perfect, this too has three drawbacks. First, the lead actors took a long time, rather stupidly, to confess to each other, partly because Zheng Shuang was too much shy. Second, the friends of Xiao Nai were all idiots to be honest. Like they seemed like they won't know anything even if their houses were robbed. And third, some actors were so desperate that they made the mood sour sometimes. But other than these things, the drama was a hundred percent success.

Too much frustrating

The story started on a good note, but suddenly, things became ugly midway. Partly because of the female lead. She's kinda stupid. She doesn't know what she should do, and is always depending on her so-called best friend, who is practically using her, and also a demon himself. The female lead is so stupid that she has broken up with Hans, like, for a million times. I had no other choice but to drop it midway. I'm sorry.
And the second lead is clearly monster. He's intolerable. And the mom of Hans?! Gosh!! She's a witch, and is clearly manipulating her son and whenever Hans used to go against her, she would always fake her tears or fake a heart attack. She's such a bitch (pardon my language). Overall, the show was boring and frustrating. So I left it midway.

Annoying as hell!

I never thought that I'd write a review like THIS for a drama written by ZhuYi. I mean seriously this drama is a mess. I couldn't tolerate beyond 3 eps. Lin Xichi is the most annoying species existing, gosh I felt like slapping her every second. The male lead too was dry and boring as hell. There was no depth in his character. Also he didn't have self respect AT ALL! I mean how can you even talk and hang out with a person who ugly shouted at you cuz you tried explaining her the reality of life. That's just intolerable as hell. Also Xichi is obsessed with her mom and was living in the delusion that her mom wanna fix their broken family when in reality, it doesn't work like that (speaking from experience). Xichi is by far the only one who had mommy issues to this level
