Story: Romance + Comedy + Spy + Action = My Lucky Star 2013. This movie has a feel good vibe to it. The romance is predictable but it is not the only selling point of the movie. The movie takes the viewers to many famous locations in Singapore, Macau, HK & China- so, it has very good and to a certain degree, breath-taking backdrops. The storyline is simple and straight-forward. It is how the movie unfolds that gives this movie a high entertainment value. Acting/Cast: All experienced actors and actresses. Directing wonderfully done. Movie well paced with no obvious gaps in the story-telling. Also - who can say no to a suave, handsome, mysterious and at times, brooding looking Wang Leehom? I'll like to see you try! Music: Nice & sweet. Music suits the movie but nothing that will be a big hit anytime soon. Rewatch value: This is one of those easy to watch movie that will find its way to your collections of DVDs/Blu-Rays. Certainly a high re-watch value. Overall: Highly recommended. An excellent weekend or holiday movie that will live up to its promise to entertain.
