Was expecting more from a supposed second season.
I really love the first season despite wanting to see Xiang Liu and Xiao Yao end up together and of course the open ending.I dislike the character of Tushan Jing so much. His only good quality is that he doesn't love anybody else but Xiao Yao.
He is, for a man that was supposed to have been born in a rich family, an idiot.
He says to Xiao Yao that he loves her but at the same time doesn't fight for their love. This is really important especially because all the people that Xiao Yao loved abandoned her.
Why to me the second season sucks is that the ending (despite not having read the book) is really predictable. There not being a body of Tushan Jing already shows that he did not die. I had hoped that Xiang Liu would not remove the Love Bug and that there would be a struggle of Cang Xuan trying to save Xiao Yao while trying to fight Xang Liu. Unfortunately that didn't happen.
The 23 episodes do not have enough storyline to make it good. Had it been allowed to air it all at once that would have been nice. I would not have liked more but I wouldn't have felt that I wasted months waiting on it for it to disappoint.
Things I do love are the costumes and definitely season 1. I would probably only watch it one more time all at once but then not again. Or only when I feel like seeing Tan Jianci in a beautiful costume with long hair. (Especially while waiting for Winner Is King to finally air, aka until my hair turns white)

Looove it.
This series is amazing. The storyline of this series didn't seem that interesting to me. It reminded me a bit to much of Romeo and Juliet idea wise.
I don't really like such series but that of course depends on personal tastes. If I don't like something doesn't mean it is bad.
What I really loved about this series:
First, despite the storyline I really liked their acting in the roles. They really sold the 'hating' each other in the beginning.I liked their personal growth in the series from hating each other because their parents told them to to questioning why they should hate each other and trying to understand why their parents feel that way.
Second, the chemistry. I started watching it because a friend, who is a reliable source, told me that the 2 main actors wanted to star in the series because they wanted to act with each other. Also from behind the scenes footage and interviews etc. they showed that they really trusted each other and wanted to make this series amazing for fans. The first kiss was amazing. Even in a kissing scene they both managed to show their emotions really well.
If you like the hate-to-love trope than this is definitely something for you. I will definitely rewatch this series many times.

A Little Bit Dissapointing.
I've given the rating that I have for multiple reasons. (This is a review based on my own opinions. There could be people that feel totally different about this series and you are welcome to. I just write these reviews because I like putting my thoughts on a series on paper.)1. Great story idea but not well executed. I liked how their relationship started as hating each other to loving each other but the execution of it was pretty disappointing. The chemistry was really lacking as well. I don't want to insult or discredit the hard work that these actors do for these series but sometimes it just doesn't work. The story is quite focused on the sexual aspect of their relationship because that is how it started but even with that I was a bit disappointed.
2. The rest of the series was a little bit to fast paced. The beginning is pretty fast with the couple basically both getting drugged because of bad handling of the drugs and then having sex and you would understand that that part comes first and is quite fast paced because it is the start of their relationship as it were. But the rest of the story was just as fast paced which made it feel distant for me. It feels like they were trying to put multiple storylines in one season of just 8 episodes. It also wasn't edited or shot as if a lot of time passed between when they met each other and they eventually ended up with each other. It felt like a week passed and they were from hating each other to loving each other.
3. Nothing major happens to break up this couple. There was a friend of Yai that showed up that was a slight threat to their relationship but very quickly you know that Yai only sees him as a friend and nothing more. The engagement issue was solved in one episode. I honestly thought that that would be a problem throughout the entire series but it wasn't. I think that that would have been better for the story. They wanted to put too much in 8 episodes.
4. Kinky stuff hinted at in trailer but next to nothing in series. In the trailer there was hinted to Yai liking more kinky stuff and there were some very quick shots with some in it. In the series there was nothing of that kind. Now I have to say that if I like a BL or not doesn't depend on that but when you insinuate that this is the case you should at least deliver some of that. In episode 3 there was a moment that Yai was getting whipped by a girl in Dominatrix outfit while he was just sitting on the side of a bathtub uninterested in what she was doing. Guys that was all that they put in the series that was hinting at a kinky side to him. I was really disappointed with that. If you don't want to put something like that in a series then don't hint at it. The timing for me with that is also really annoying because it almost feels like they wanted to pull the VegasPete fans in with the trailer but then never delivered.
I didn't even notice that the 8th episode was the last episode when I was watching it. There was nothing in this series that jumped out at me and excited me. There was nothing that really drew me into the story. Nothing that made my heart beat faster or made me feel sad or angry. I would probably watch, if there is going to be , a 2nd season of this show but only when it has fully aired just because waiting for this show was a bit disappointing every week.

Was not what I expected.
This series to me had a lot of potential the moment the first trailer was aired.A lot of BL fans loved the idea of this new series with it's new storyline that we hadn't seen before.
The storyline of a BL couple that wasn't focused on university but a storyline with a bit rougher background: The mafia.
The first trailer showed a series that not just acting wise but also set wise was really well thought of. I kept rewatching the trailer over and over again.
Sadly they had to postpone shooting the series itself because of Covid. In that time period the series became a bit less of a novelty because more companies realized that BL focused on university was good and all but there were also fans who wanted something different. More BL's aired with different storylines and by the time that Kinnporsche was going to air it wasn't that special anymore.
The final trailer of the series came out and I had to do my best not to dislike the series based on the trailer. Because I couldn't dislike a series because I liked the first trailer more than the new trailer. So I did my best to watch the series with an open mind.
The beginning was really good and I can't say a lot of bad things about it.
I saw a lot of people ranting about the non-consensual scenes in the series and I have to agree that: yes it is messed up and if that would happen in real life that person belongs in jail but this isn't real life. It is a series. A series supposed to be focused on the mafia. It was a bit romanticized how the mafia worked. There were in the end some scenes that were a little bit more realistic but overall the series was really romanticized. So that people were all discussing how the kissing etc. was non-consensual didn't really faze me. I had actually expected more mafia-ish things in this series but it wasn't that present. There was one scene of Vegas, that if you have watched the series you will know, that I really liked that showed a bit more of what the mafia family was capable of.
I have to applaud the actors for their acting though. They really gave their all, literally and figuratively. I think overall it is a matter of personal tastes. I feel that they were trying to make up for not being as 'original' anymore with the large amount of sex scenes and nude ness if you can call it that. They went really naked and despite me not really liking that they really went far for this series I have to give credit where credit is due.
It was also nice that most of the cast stayed in the series despite the delay. Some actors' roles were changed from what they were originally supposed to be but other than that I was really happy to see them staying on.
The storylines from the side characters were really interesting and some were fun to watch and others were heartbreaking. When you know, you know.
I have read the original novel and I can say that the series is less bad. In the book Porsche has a big temper issue and gets angry really quickly. Kinn isn't much better in the book.
All in all I did like the series but it is definitely not my favorite one of this year.

Could have been a real good series.
This drama was for me really disappointing. I haven't been able to read the novel yet but even without that there are so many things that I just can't get over with this series.First, the trailer gave the impression that it was going to be a steamy series. It doesn't mean that I only like that type of series but if you say BDSM at least deliver it enough to be allowed to mention it. It looked as if Kamool only liked rough sex sometimes but in the beginning he was frustrated about no man being able to handle it. That just doesn't make sense. In the beginning of the series Kamool was that rough that the man was covered in what looks like gashes yet somehow Kim only ends up with some hickeys.
Second, I really like the actor who plays the role of Kamool and love some of his previous series but this series was acting wise not my favorite. Not just from his side but also the actor who played Kim. It really felt superficial. Their portrayal of the emotions of the characters was not great. Was it awful? No not really. I have read some other reviews and agree with them that the actor's seem to not know what was exactly expected from them. Like they were given the script the day of shooting and were told to wing it.
Third, I am a person who loves a BL even when the budget is low and the sex scenes are scarce. Why? Because when the actors can show a real good chemistry it can save a series even when they barely have any kiss scenes or even have when they have no kiss scenes. In the beginning of this series their chemistry was, in my personal opinion, the best. I don't know how long they had the time to prepare but it feels that they barely had any workshops together before shooting. I think that with some more time this series could have been a lot better.
I probably will rewatch this one time just to see if I could see something that can save this series for me or if I have skipped something important when I was watching it but after that probably not.

Amazing BL
Reasons to watch this BL.1. The characters. Adachi and Kurosawa. The story is in a way told by Adachi, a 30 year old virgin. He works as an office worker and is a colleague of Kurosawa. He lives his days like many other people: wake up, go to work, work and then go home and sleep and repeat. This way he has lived until he turns 30 and finds out that the myth that you become a wizard when you are still a virgin at 30 is true. He can read minds by touching people and finds out that his colleague Kurosawa, who is the perfect man in everything that he does, is in love with him. The storytelling is really personal on Adachi's side. You hear Adachi's thoughts with everything he does and it makes you understand what kind of person he is and provides a lot of funny situations. In the emotional scenes that creates a bit more of a suspense. Kurosawa is also a character that looks like a person that you admire but want to admire from a distance. This changes when you found out more about him through Adachi reading his thoughts.
2. The lesson in this series. The mindreading is how the couple got together but in the end communication is really important in a relationship otherwise it is not going to work out. This is shown really well in this series. To put it bluntly, when Adachi is not a virgin anymore he will lose his mindreading abilities. How will the relationship survive if they don't communicate with each other? The series answers this question really well and I can see them as a couple that would be together for a long time.
3. The only little part that I was sad about was that there is no kiss scene in the series. It did make the series feel quite innocent. Kurosawa bought a pyjama set for Adachi because he thought that it would look good on him and Adachi's reactions are just really fun. The story always make it feel like: 'Oh now it is going to happen' but unfortunately it didn't. It doesn't take anything away from this series though. I would still watch it over and over and over when I need a series just to make me feel warm inside.
