Just feels right
Everyone is cute, (almost) everyone is nice, no horrible horrible angst, just a bunch of lovely and brave kids growing up and turning into adults. It's relaxing, the friendship is solid even when there is obvious romantic feelings budding and there is no awkward second hand embarrasment for us viewers. The acting feels natural, nothing over the top, and the main couple is just adorable. ML and SML have this weirdly nice husky voices that I enjoy a lot. The FML makes sense most of the time. The only thing I find annoying is when they switch Bull's Nikon camera to Canon. Was this review helpful to you?

The SML is the ML himself
A well made show with higher production value than I expected from a fantasy C-drama. I just wish sometimes FL would just stop and listen what ML has to say.He Zhengyu finds a love rival in himself from last year. Or the other way around??
Basically FL Jialan who lives in the year 2021 is dating Zhengyu from the year 2022 thanks to a time glitch that happens every night, while also crossing path with Zhengyu from the year 2021. Both men are the same person but Z2.0 is a tad bit more humane. Just like myself today is not exactly the same as myself from last year.
What I find exciting is that, I actually do see Zhengyu2022 as a different man from Zhengyu2021. The actor plays both characters so well that I can totally understand Jialan's initial rejection of Zhengyu2021.
I probably make it sound confusing but really, the story is quite easy to follow because there is always a time stamp so we know in which year a scene is folding. We can also see how ML/SML are gradually falling for FL. Once ML&FL realise their feelings, it doesn't take them long to be together. Something like "I like you, do you like me?" "Yeah" *kiss*. Maybe not even a "Yeah".
Many people comment about the age gap of the actor and actress, but I don't find it problematic. I mean they're both in their 20s, what's the big deal.

The ML is just weirdly obsessed with taking responsibility after having a one night stand with the FL, while she is hilariously trying hard to tell him 'no thanks, I'm good'. He's very good looking though, his physique and the eye make up does help with his character, he should have been No. 1 on the Handsome Men list. The FL is sensible and loves her career as a thief. All in all, this would be a good drama to binge on a weekend day.

8. You see cheap looking jewelries
9. You think Ruo Meina is pointless
BONUS a shot of baiju (or two) when you think oh finally sexy time! With all those kisses she should have been pregnant by now.

Totally recommended
I'll start from the end: I just finished it, 40 episodes and it was totally worth the late night sleep. I still feel the lump in my throat and the heaviness in my heart because the ending is beautiful, liberating, heartwarming, and I feel like I'm not ready to let go of Lianhua. The trio friendship lasts till the end and finally Lianhua gets what he wants: freedom. I mean, seriously. Leave the poor man alone. Also, I give low rewatch value because I can't bear to be this involved the second time. Dramatic, I know.We don't get to see much of the ambitious and arrogant sect leader Li Xiangyi, instead we see him as the mature, reliable, witty, calm Li Lianhua. Lianhua is the kind of guy that you might say "Oh he's here! Thank goodness!" upon seeing him. The way he cultivates friendships with Fan Daobing and Di Feishang is kind and understanding that no wonder they can't resist him. Kudos to the actor for conveying such gentle yet strong character. His eyebrow lifts, smirks, the little gestures feel so natural I forgot he is an actor doing his job.
Fan Daobing grows a lot throughout the story and not only in fighting skills. By the end of the story he is an intelligent young adult in control of his own life. Di Feishang is a villain you can't hate. His A Fei mode is endearing and emotionally clueless makes him almost like a comic relief. These characters are perfectly portrayed by the actors.
I don't want to write too much and at 40 episodes it is quite a daunting commitment to watch but listen, do watch it anyway. It's about lovely friendships and loyalty, so there is barely any romance, but our trio is more than enough.

Definitely worth watching
The only thing that stopped me from watching it in one go was because I had to go to work and make a living. The story telling is gripping and at 12 episodes, it packs enough meat that it never drags. The characters make you doubt your judgment; is someone really that good or bad, or is there something behind their facade? You will care about every one, including the minor characters. The acting is superb. It's a very satisfying show. There is no romance, just hints here and there, and oh my, Oh Jung Sae, never thought I would ever be saying this, but you delivered one attractive ajusshi. At some point I was just hoping Hae Sang and San Yeong would get together. Of course, there's the young and bitter detective Hong Sae who never smiles, but I can see my younger teenage self crushing on him in high school. And then there's San Yeong who looks dishevelled most of the time. Kim Tae Ri really did well with this character; broken and cornered but still has a fighting spirit.
Overall, watch it. You won't regret.

Hilarious and heartwarming.
I want more of this chaotic trio. Yiyong is rough around the edges but really he is such a kind human being. The people around him are hilarious and warm at the same time. The cases are mostly heartbreaking and even the characters admit it but they are always solved in the sweetest ways. Yes I cried a lot but not in a bad way. I cried because Yiyong is just a kid afterall. A very good looking kid, mind you (even with the mullet). One thing that I like the most is how everyone cries ugly!! You know sometimes it is so unrealistic that people in dramaland can still look so perfect when they cry, not here. Here people cry and have runny nose.
I am really hoping that they would make a 2nd season. They really should, 12 episode is perfect for one season but we need more story! We have 30-40 episodes of trashy dramas so why can't we have more of this gem, right??

Don't we all love Wang-Wang couple?
I watched for the pair. Like many of you here, I watched Once We Get Married and was ecstatic to find that they were paired up in another romcom.I'm not looking for mindblowing plot or award winning series, I'm in for the good feeling and romance. Call me shallow and get in the line.
Our main leads are very natural that a tiny bit of me wishes that they were a real life couple.
There is no ridiculous angst. The (somewhat) SML is respectable, triggering some jealousy in our ML but not for long because we know he is not a serious contender. Quanquan is a witty kid, I wonder how they brief the young actor to deliver the character because he doesn't even seem like he's acting. Very well done.
The other couples are entertaining, I appreciate Cao Mu and her good looking younger boyfriend, but my favourite is the doctor and the ballerina. Once the dynamic changes between them it's just precious how doc is now desperately trying to convince Zhuzhu that hey! He likes her too, so much!
This drama is not petty in skinship either. They kiss like normal couples do. Good morning kiss, happy kiss, random kiss, thank you kiss, sexy kiss, you name it they do it. I hate it when a drama is so lacking in romantic gestures that a couple doesn't even kiss on their wedding day! *Cough* Road Home *cough*
Overall, it is worth binging on a weekend.

Outrageously Over The Top but the fan service is giving
There's a lot of bathing scenes and General Jin Fu for some reasons really likes to go topless. And by god the kisses are hot.The story itself is actually quite interesting. I was quite invested in the beginning but now kind of looking forward for the charade to be over. It is so satisfying to see the FL being a powerful personality and doesn't hesitate to kill.
The acting is not the best and the script can be cringey. Plotholes so big they are more like plotcaves, but this show is kind of addictive. I'll be watching it till the end.

Cute
There is nothing deep to analyse or fuss about here. I didn't expect to like it this much when I started watching it but it turned out I couldn't wait for the next episodes. Do I care about veterinary technicality in this show? Of course not. I just watch and turn off my brain and giggle. This drama is to binge on a weekend and enjoy without worrying much about anything. The music is cute, the story is cute, the actors are cute, the dogs are cute, the greeneries are refreshing. Life is good.

Breathtaking
Breathtaking is maybe a gross exaggeration, but this series is really good. I don't do analytic essays for reviews and I'm shallow. It took me a while to finally watch it because the ML is not handsome according to my taste. So here are some of the things I like:1. Uncle Wuzhu is the hottest uncle ever. Please don't take off the eyefold so my illusion is not shattered.
2. Fan Xian is loved by many and has so many father figures. He is doted by all his 'dads'.
3. Wan'er seems weak and blah but she has strong attitude. Love it.
4. The fighting background music is not only for physical fights; it is also used during the crazy poem night. Awesome use of music.
5. Zhang Ruoyun is not the handsomest man but he sure can play a dokidoki-inducing boyfriend.
6. Fan Xian is always one step ahead.
7. Just as you feel bored with the identity game with Wan'er, the story levelled up. Phew.
8. I'm shipping Ruoruo and Hot Uncle Wuzhu. They are both levelheaded and straight arrows, although Uncle Wuzhu acts like an android.
9. Season 2 is already out so I don't have to wait for 5 years like the early viewers.

Sweet sweet couple
I have watched this show several times because this is my go to series when I don't know what to watch. I really don't care about the other couples because I find them boring, but our main couple is where it's at.They start from strangers to doctor patient to friends to lovers gradually and it just seems so natural. You can see when the gear shifts smoothly and the ML is now actively wooing the FL, and she is enjoying the ride.
Like I said, I skip parts about the other couples. I also find how the girls keep complaining about how old they are utterly ridiculous. I mean, 27??? OLD??? Girls you haven't even lived!
But anyway, it is worth watching if only for the main couple.

Finally Mature Looking Men
After watching a barrage of beautiful young men with glowing skin in my screen, this show brings some mature looking men and I'm not complaining. Minimal skinship, the romance part is a bit draggy and I wish the ML was a bit less timid. The FL is satisfyingly strong and outspoken without being outrageous. I lost a bit of patience by the last leg but still think it's worth watching. I find the second couple's romance cute, unfortunately their budding romance doesn't get enough screen time. Was this review helpful to you?

Hilarious
Yes it is butt touching. Now get over it.This drama is hilarious. I enjoy it partly because I just shut off my brain, knowing if I want something realistic I will just go to work and buy groceries. There are quite many deaths for a comedy but the mystery is appealing and difficult to guess.
Our main characters are well played; Bong is sweet natured and Detective is bad tempered, opposite attracts. I have seen enough Lee Min Ki playing stoic characters so a rude annoying dude is something different, although his skin is still so glowing and perfect for an overworked detective.
Although the romance is subtle it touches my teenage romance dream: A tsundere and a puppy eyed girl reluctantly work together to solve a mystery. I go gyaa gyaaa internally.
