Adore

LOVE LOVE LOVE. Great show, kept me on the edge of my seat all throughout. I find that in most shows (even good) there is a part, a couple episodes that I find boring and that i just have to get through. But this show never was, the action scenes were amazing those really helped. (can't beleive he did them stunts himself). It was a little sad, had just the right amount of comedy, action and drama it was never too much. No romance tho if youre looking for that. Obviously you can feel slight attraction and tension between the leads though. The twist was unexpected because I was so wrapped up in everything else going on. 10/10 recommend only a little disapointed by the ending, that was the only problem for me. I dont know about rewatch quality. I got my cousin to watch it and sat with her and watching it for a second time made me pick up on things and the twsit felt obvious since I knew what is was so I'll never get that feeling i got the first time watching it.

very Very minor spoiler won't matter if you´re planning to watch

WOW. What a show. I mean what is there to say. I'm so proud of myself for finishing that. Now while I respect peoples opinions and while everyone likes different types of show and genres I think most people will agree to that this show was very poorly made. First off let me just say my favourite character ended up being Chu Yan. Episode 1 - 10, I am a little embarassed to admit that I enjoyed them, It was so ridiculous and stereotypical that it was fun. I actually enjoyed it and kept watching. I t kept me entertained. In episode 11 there is a plot twist that is just so unbelievable and ruins everything. From there on out the show just gets worse and worse.
So many things happen, too many things even to the last 5 minutes of the show. Like jesus christ what happened to the plot of this show. The original plot doesn't even matter cause there is new conflict every 20 minutes. Feels like boys over flowers all over again. An can I just point out that in the end during a WEDDING ANNIVERSARY, SOMEONE ELSES wedding anniversary a proposal occurs. LIKE? Ge your own damn day.
Anyway in my opinion this show just isn't good. Too much happening, usually I'm bored in dramas cause they drag out relationship conflicts over many episodes but this show moved through conflicts way to quick and without realistic reactions. Like not even 5 minutes for a kidnapping. Painted certain characters as good for doing certain things that are terrible and unhealthy. I wouldn't rewatch this and I'm not watching season 2 since I'm guessing its gonna have a version of that nasty plot twist and annoying conflicts. it was a pain getting through this but I hate leaving shows unfinished so I'm happy I finished this. Also the music sounded so generic like something you get off of youtube or imovie.

short and sweet

I don't know if I can call it sweet but I enjoyed this show. They were short and enjoyable, all including different vibes (good for me with a short attention span). My favourite is proably kiss burn, them thinking they failed in getting revenge when they actaully kinda did the worst thing possible. It was refreshing to watch, the acting was great. Not a lot to say. I totally recommend, considering its short it won't take a lot of your time if you find it was a waste in the end. Its different though, more psychological. So if youre looking for action, romance anoything in that direction this is not it.

There isn't really much to say about this show. This is one of those must see. Thats the only reason I watched this awful show. Story was awful, just weird conflict after conflict that was so unrealistic and just problematic. And the fact that fl chose him in the end. I aint forget about that weird ass abusive bullying the beginning. This was just really bad and too much. Like conflict after conflict that didn't even make sense. And the fact that she couldn't swim anymore. There weren't any attractive guys in this cause even if that was hip before those hairstyles weren't doing it for them. (lee min ho couldnt be saved by better hair tho). Awful show don't recommend. the only thing i got from it is being able to say that I actually have watched this "iconic" show. Ngl tho chuckled a few times in the first episodes but it got worse and worse especially when he left and the new love interest came in. Took me a solid 7 months to finish it lol.

Loved, loved, loved

An amazing show, even if you as myself have heard of a sad ending I still encourage you to watch this show. I loved that it was a bit shorter than usual as thats what works for me (hate fillers and have bad attention span). The story begun lightheartedly, fun and interesting it caught my attention rigt away and I couldn't wait til the next episode. It started out with characters having normal, typical issues but then later led into with more depth. Majority of the characters and character developement where they realized things about their life and relationships. I honestly thing star crossed lovers/sad romances are my thing becuase although at times it was gut wrenching and painful between the two lovers it made the times to they were together and happy even more meaningful. It felt more realistic and giving. I loved the historical setting, although its usually something i stay away from I loved it here and taught me things about the gwanju uprising. When it comes to the ost it wasn't anything extrodinary. The normal ones were good nothing in particular. They also had 70s music which was a nice touch. One thing I noticed was that it seemed that were working with a lower budget? mabe or something or they prioritize it somewhere else. Due to the sets, there wasn't a big variety imo, in the beginning there was toawrds the end it felt very like repetetive some of the sets also seemed a bit lower quality. I knoe they had to adapt considering its set in a differnt time so its a lot of props and so one that arent typical however i've seen better prepared historical sets in other shows. Another thing was that since medicine was a pedning topic as well as the protests (duh) injuries were shown on screen. I felt that some of the injuries, blood, medical talk could have been a bit better (might just be because I'm watching GA at the same time). Other than that I loved it. Actors did an amazing job. I thought it would be weird for me becuase i recently watched sweet home where the mains are siblings but they did amazing. Their chemistry was great and i was really inmpressed by do hyun honestly hes becoming a favourite. Characters and plot were written beautifully. One more thing is that I felt the last episode (at least the first half, second half was good) was a little rushed? A lot happenend in no time and at the same time therefore it felt a bit rushed and poorly directed.

SPOILERS

I just need to say this, okay I know its a justa show and it had to happen but still.
in myeong hees last moments, in that shot/scene they zoom onto thr brother to show that he is close, in danger, basically explanation for why she does what she does. He's pretty close and within range so its understandable that she tries to protect him. However in the next shot with kung soo? and the little brother they seem to be much farther away considering the way it looks (no soldiers, sister, lights etc), how they act after hearing the gunshot (if they were as close or close to what was insinuated in the previous shot they would have been able to look around and see what had happened) and from the gunshot sound itself. Sounded prettyyyy far away. So why she gotta jump :(

Gut wrenching moments (from what i remember)
when the sister and brother were hiding behind the rock, the promise she made (how its a recurring theme)
the five minute promise before they split up
the turn around turn around the second time, first time was cute
him in the café with the fliers, aka he never found out until the end ( that kyung soo moment when thet communicated with their eyes :() the song festival playing on tv. It had been so important in the beginning and it felt like he had many obstacles against it and in the end it seemed like such a small and trivial thing. Like so much had happened remember the time he just wanted to write songs. so i broke down with him.
And when she said she was afraid of him after the whole studying abroad thing.

meh

Nice start, caught my attention in the first couple episodes, after a while it got boring though, And as per usual in my case, it was a pain to sit through. The last 2 episodes were good however I felt that a certain section including Lee Rang that came after a major event in the show was a little rushed. And then the very, very ending. It was a nice detail but like explaination please? ( I guess its a little open and up to own interpertation unless i missed sum) Honestly I liked sin jus couple more than the main. Lee rang's development was nice and their brother relationship was nice to watch.

minor spoiler

meh not the best I've seen not the worst. It was a while ago i watched it but from what i remember it was enjoyable, cute and funny. Though I feel like they could have left it at that. I wasn't bothered by the whole rich ceo, "poor" secretary trope. Its alright once in a while but the whole kidnapping and them knowing eachother when they were younger felt a little out of place. Like they could have left it as it was. People can fall in love without having the whole "childhood friends/lovers reunited" thing. It just felt unnecessary. It could have been left alone as a little cute love story but they had to mash in the dark truamatic experience they had as kids together. Overall i wouldn't rewatch. It can be really enjoyable for certain people just wasn't my cup of tea. Actors did a good job as per ususal from what i remember and i think i liked the ost? nothing super memorable tho.
