Definitely watch it!!!!
What I like-
2024 brought me back to watching kdramas. This drama doesn't have a unique story; its plot is simple and easy to guess. However, the way the story developed kept me engaged. You sense the hatred from the beginning, but the reasons behind it remain a mystery until episode seven.
The younger cast was impressive. They could easily carry their own short series, especially the main leads. I disliked Ji Hye for her actions, but she eventually realized her mistakes and showed growth. That’s important to me. When Seok Ji won saved Yoon on the rooftop, he chose not to clear the misunderstandings even though he knew what she was going through. It's not fair to blame Ji Hye for everything.
The casting for the main leads was perfect. This is the first kdrama where I felt the older actors looked so much like the younger ones, in my opinion. The comedy hit the mark, and all the side characters had good stories too. The second lead was a sweetheart from the start and remained kind even after being rejected. The original soundtrack was really great.
What I don’t like-
The cast for Seok Ji Won’s Dad felt a bit too old. In some scenes, he looked as if he could be the same age as Yoon Ji Won’s grandfather.
The female lead's outfits during the pre-wedding shoot missed the mark. If they wanted a small-town vibe, there were better choices available.
I really wished the main leads would have a conversation about not abandoning each other. She was at Namsan, while he was right outside her house. A good 15-minute talk would have made me care about them more. If they had included that, I would rate this series a perfect 10.
Still, it's the best romantic comedy I've seen in a while.
