Magnified, sanctified Be the holy name
Vilified, crucified In the human frame
A million candles burning for the love that never came
You want it darker We kill the flame
I love Japanese dramas especially because they are so heavy on the psychological side. Also, because I have the capability to understand them which i guess many people don't, seeing how low they are rated. I believe the more popular a drama is, the trashier it is. A drama gets popular mostly because simple minded people can grasp it while they are eating chips.
I take what i watch seriously. If i don't get anything from art then it means i just used it for entertainment. For me, entertainment is a very cheap word. I think art should be able to move things inside you that you have never felt before.
I don't like mystery, investigative, law and medical dramas ever. Seeing, how many of them come out each year i know its easy to make them. The writing is cheap and they are in general like the brown or white noise that you use in adhd. It helps u when its in the background but is actually a bunch of gibberish. Also, a certain type of melodramas which don't make sense and where useless drama can be reduced to zero if anybody had a god damn brain. I especially hate when they try to show the back story of a character in a kdrama romcom who's the shallowest person ever written on the planet.
For me, Horror, Psychological, dark fantasy and Life are the superior genres. I get bored, really quick. I am super picky and also a hater. I am also a feminist and i hate when i see women fighting for male attention. I believe we need more dramas about women's relationship with each other. Seeing women bonding and surviving is truly cathartic. I think only a woman's love can heal other woman completely. It should be explored more.
