What the hell?!
Given 8 for the acting purely for Taecyon, Park Kang Hyun, the rest of the vamps and Mr Cat. As for the FL - good to start with then half way through devoid of any emotion, and for goodness sake wear some decent fitting trousers - backside like two boiled eggs in a handkerchief! A lot of the Kdramas I've seen have leads that look like the tomboy girl next door, but I want female allure and glamour!!I really don't know what to say. A vampire genre flick is 10/10 for me anyway so I was looking forward to an interesting ride. Started off really promising but somewhere along the way it started to falter and the worst episode was the last. What on earth happened?! There was too much to squeeze in to one episode and the conclusion left me feeling absolutely cheated. There were absolutely so many different angles this story could have gone but they chose to conclude it that way? Not even one twist? (Cue Korean swear words.)

Japanese romance and fantasy - what's not to love!
Aesthetics of Japanese architecture, kimono fashion, culture, beautiful men and women combined with an excellent fantasy genre - don't blink or you'll miss it. Time just flew past watching this film. I expected more of a Mills & Boon 'he hates her - she tries her best to win his affection' but whoah, how quickly he was enamoured by Miyo but she was so deserving of his affection. It was a fast paced film which could easily be made into a 20 part series, showing us the relationships, past the present, of Kudo, then with Miyo, then introducing us to the Special Skills soldiers - which alone warranted a much lengthier exploration of each character and their particular 'magical' attributes. Actually, if they made a series about this alone, it would still be a winner - Japanese X-men... yes please! Was this review helpful to you?
A real gem
A period piece with just two episodes - a gem of a drama to watch in between longer dramas; fluffy and fun. It would have made an excellent series as there was a lot of material available such as exploring the development of all the main characters, deepening the relationship between the M/F leads but what was created in the two episodes was excellently portrayed and I loved the ending.. thank goodness! Shame it was over all too soon though.Definitely put this on your to watch list - you won't regret it.

A slice of reality
One of the best BLs I've seen and I'm starting to prefer Japanese BL over all the others for their, in the main, slice of raw reality. Japanese BL, often dark and melancholic yet with optimistic passion, this production follows the usual format and brings home the message - be true to yourself and be happy. (Perhaps Akira's father wanted to do the same as Akira but never had the courage and was destined to remain in what might have been a sad, loveless marriage, his truth hidden and to be taken to his grave - total speculation here ...)I just wish Yuki had had a haircut at least once during all those years!!
Highly recommended.

If Wei Wuxian can wait until I've finished this, it must be good!
Started LTHY just a few days ago and at the same time, on my last 4 episodes of the Untamed... (I'm dreading the ending..) anyway.. with a list of 178 other dramas to watch, the now famous 'kiss scene' between the two male leads, piqued my interest and it also crept onto my list. With just 10 episodes I thought I could watch it quickly and fortunately it had me hooked from the first episode .If anyone is old enough to remember the romance novels by Mills & Boon - they were always the same formula - his is indifferent to her, she hates him, but... hmm, he then starts to become intrigued by her, she starts to love him.. and then .. you can guess the rest This then was a good old fashioned Mills & Boon.. and a real treat. Main leads had such great chemistry and there were plenty of laughs a long the way. I think I must have had a smile from ear to ear most of the time.. awwww cute!! And Yoo Teo ... you're now my second husband (Gong Yoo is first ;-)
A good romcom for anyone new to Kdramas. Well done! Ok.. back to Wei Ling..

Made me smile like a Cheshire cat
Despite a film's story, if I'm smiling like a Cheshire cat from one ear to another, it's a good film and this is no exception. A little cracker. Funny, a little sad at times, heartwarming.Episode 2 has a cute reference to 'Goblin' complete with the red scarf. Very clever.
And what's with the "Boom bop jiggy" between man and woman - is this where we get the saying from 'having a bit of jiggy'? That was hilarious.
Brilliant cast, beautiful settings, costumes etc. And at just 12 episodes perfect to watch parallel with another drama (if you're anything like me - with five dramas on the go at the same time ;-)
Thoroughly recommend. Now.. back to Untamed :-)

Not to be overthought!
Ok.. so your dog and cat come back to life as humans.. don't over think this bit.. but if you do, it is a bit weird to have any romantic elements between a dog and its owner.. if I kept thinking about this the story wouldn't have worked for me. So just imagine it's boy meets boy and falls in love :-)Loved the cute puppy eyes and cat.. 'uh.. you're so disgusting' stares.. actors played their parts very well. Definitely time to see all these young actors in more films,. especially the gorgeous feline Kim Seong Hyuk... let's get him in some major films. (He certainly got my heart racing in this production - the cat that got the cream :-)
Good series to binge watch.

Left up in the air!
A Chinese/Korean collaboration - interesting, and with LJG - it was a film firmly on my watch list. The film started off very well and captured my interest from the beginning but then somewhere along the way it lost its direction and it became a little confusing as to what was actually going on as there seemed to be chunks of information that the viewer was not provided with and we were left to draw our own conclusions about certain elements of the story , for example when did he tell the neighbour downstairs what was happening to him - did I blink and miss that? Was the whole company aware of his 'secret' except his girlfriend? As for the ending, I was left completely dumbstruck.. cheated.. couldn't work out whether he had really gone or he was suddenly going to turn up - "ta da!"Lots of questions unanswered so sadly, despite LJG, and the potential the film had, disappointed.

Too many loose ends
The first series was excellent and a change to the usual Thai BLs. Sped through this eager for more about the main leads' relationship and where it would lead, not really interested in the side relationships. A little confused as to what happened when and did GSD actually tell SY about the blonde woman and baby because I don't recall him actually explaining clearly what happened in the US.However, disappointed with the ending and felt episode 6.5 was completely unnecessary, repeating what had happened in previous episodes. That relationship I didn't feel was appropriate and I certainly don't think a third season about them would have been justified.. but that's just my personal opinion. I would have liked a closing scene with the two main leads declaring undying love etc rather than the side leads' proposal.. that episode felt unfinished.
On the whole however, really enjoyed WBL.

Refreshing change
Excellent BL drama and a refreshing change in the genre, delving deep into the psyches of teenagers and love, with all its complexities. The angst and heartache are brutal and takes one back to those years when we too experienced the same feelings.
I admit to being a little frustrated with the character of Teh - felt like giving him a kick up the backside at times but he was going through some major stuff himself, with emotions all over the place. In fact I actually felt so much empathy for the character.
Brilliant acting, great location shots. Wholeheartedly recommend this one.

BL drama due its praise
Oh my heart! Excellent BL drama that I binged over a couple of days. Away from the normal school/university set storylines which I'm rather getting bored of. This showed us some of the beauty of the country and was a breath of fresh air literally. Great acting by all the cast. But oh boy.. frustrating! Had to wait for any romantic connection right til the end.. was beginning to think it would never happen - the anticipation was agonising! Well done for a fabulours production. This paves the way for the content of future BL dramas. Was this review helpful to you?
True love will always find a way
I was somewhat hesitant to watch this as I like stories to develop at a reasonable pace and some reviews criticised the slow burn however as one of the reasons was to see Win, I took a chance.Loved the story of love surviving death and crossing over through reincarnation - love everlasting.
Actors were on top form, though the character of Pharm did irritate me a little - his timidness and constant
P'Dean!;.. goodness you have a such a beautiful looking man laying next to you.. stop pushing him away and let loose a little!!!
Loved the developing relationship between Win and Team and looking forward to watching Between Us. Win's efforts to seduce Team were always hilarious.. 10/10 for effort Win! And Team.. confused but such a tease!
The final episode with the red thread had tears rolling down my face it was so moving.
The series could have been shortened to 12 episodes and I did fast forward several times but it's definitely worth a watch.

10 stars just not enough!
If I could give this drama 100 stars I would. I don't like to write long reviews so I'm not going to hear suffice to say that, there are so many dramas to spend my time watching but this one will want you to watch it over and over. I beamed at the adorably cute Kim Go-Eun (can we be besties??), fell hard for Gong Yoo, and laughed like an idiot at Lee Dong Wook (hey guys, can we go fishing together sometime?). Their bromance was on another level. I cried pathetically several times. You will relive the series through the OST, and maybe smile and cry again. Beautiful story, perfect drama. Was this review helpful to you?
Dropped like a fly
I went back to this twice. Storyline was interesting and showed promise of understanding the industry but after two attempts I eventually dropped it.. it wasn't quite sticking for me. I think one of the problems was all the texting going on without translations - didn't have a clue what was being said and lost the plot. Another reason, fed up of all the whinging and whining bottoms for the whole hour every episode which seemed to drag on and on. Really difficult to watch hence I gave up.There are so many other better BL dramas out there. I've just finished 'An Unfinished Business' in just one night because it was fresh, funny and mature.

Better dramas to watch
Unfortunately if I'm not hooked from the first episode then that's it.Despite having watched many, many kdramas I haven't yet watched a JCW so decided to pick one out based on the reviews. Initially the concept was good.. but when too many other characters became involved, with their own unimportant flashbacks, the show lost me from that point onwards. Just something about it just irked me and I quickly lost interest. I am sure it will get better and feature JCW more prominently but I'd rather spend my time on a drama that grabs my attention quickly and leaves me wanting more and more. The Healer failed to heal me.
