I usually don't watch Chinese dramas, because even though they always start off great.. it always gets boring to me. Though, I've tried lots and lots of Chinese dramas this is actually one of the few that I've actually finished and binged.

The story wasn't amazing and very exciting. However, the cast was GREAT. I loved almost all the characters and even the characters I hated were well played. I did wish some of the characters would find their loved ones before the end of the story, but no.

The love/romantic scenes were beautiful and luckily for me it had a lot of those lovely scenes.

For me, the story started great but got a bit dragged out. Ultimately, I only watched for the couple and not for the story.

The drama itself is not that bad and it's fairly entertaining. It's available on YouTube so for the Chinese drama lovers.. I'd recommend it.

Fantasy overload

I waited at least 6 months for the drama to air and I watched the episodes every week when they were just released.

I personally loved the drama and often when I watch drama while they are still airing, I lose interest because it takes too much time or I don't feel like watching it anymore. However, this drama kept me watching. The drama kept me curious every episode.

I will break down my review in 2 parts: the story itself and the characters plus the actors.

The story:
I'm a big fantasy and magic fan therefore I was so excited to start this drama. The magic did not disappoint. However, it was lots and lots of action and mystery in it. I am personally not really an action fan, but the mystery and suspense was amazing. Every episode I was (especially at the beginning) asking myself like "Who did it? I can't guess!" So lots of suspense. The romance was okay. It was quite cute and it was definitely there every episode but on a low fire. I feel like it could've been more but that's just me being a sucker for romance.

The characters plus the actors:
Rose is a great character. Loved it. Sometimes a bit too selfless, but her character was also portrayed as strong and sassy so definitely not a weak ass woman. Which I do often see in lakorn (sadly enough).
Thee (?) is like the guy you don't wanna get into an argument with because he will be forever salty:) During the series, Thee was portrayed as the hero/savior but also as the most sweetest guy ever. Definitely lovely to see!
I loved the side characters too. Like the sister of Thee was annoying at the beginning, however her situation wasn't quite well described at the beginning. At the end, she was cute too.
Overall, my favorite characters were the little child (little adopted sister of Thee) and the French old woman. The child was just adorable and she acted so well for her age. And the French woman was sweet, fun to watch and sometimes a little creepy. (Ps. The actress who played Rose either NAILED the French accent or she had a voice over. I'm glad they finally nailed a foreign language in an asian drama. Normally, I feel like it sounds too awkward and too... like weird.)

Overall, I'd totally recommend this drama if you like fantasy and suspense/mystery.

I loved it and I might someday go back and rewatch it. Especially because I loved how it was filmed. Really beautifully.

I hope my review made some people interested or convinced someone to watch the drama.. if not.. too bad;)

Cute but slow

Episodes watched: 12 from the 18. (It's still airing.)

Story:
+ The story is about reincarnation and it is such a beautiful concept. You get to see a lot of the present couple but, slowly, you'll also learn more from the past couple. Every week, I'm longing for more backstory about the past couple. That (mostly) keeps me loving the story.

+ I love the side couples too. You don't see lots of it (until now), but they are building it up and I love it.

- When I saw the first episode, I was a bit shocked with the first scene. Like it was so emotional and it hits you in the core. I wouldn't recommend the first episode to people under the 12.

- The story started amazing but after ep 10 it got a bit draggy. It's a bit slow with some repetition in it. Though, it's story isn't bad... it's the couples that keep me watching.

Acting:
+ I'm surprised at how easily 'Pharm' can cry in this drama. Well acted. (Ps. He is gorgeous and adorable.)

+ I love watching 'Dean' on screen. Not only is he gorgeous but he acts really well. He portrays the emotions of 'Korn' (from the past couple) really well. The sadness, the loving look etc.

+ I adore the bickering side couple. As in the two swimming guys. They fit really well together and I hope to see more of them.

++ She doesn't get a lot of credits but the female friend is just so great. She is beautiful, sweet and a big supporter. She is definitely the friend everyone needs. And soon she'll get her own love story in the drama. Can't wait for it to happen!

Music:
+ The music sounds so damn sweet and dreamy.

Rewatch value:
I love this drama. It keeps me excited for every Saturday when it airs.

Conclusion:
If you love BL and mostly.. a very SWEET BL story, then I'd definitely recommend it. For me it's a 10/10. No annoying girlfriends. No annoying girls in general. Just lots of cuteness.

Warning:
The overall story might be a bit draggy or repetitive.

Heartwarming yet heartwrenching

I want to start this review with saying it's a MUST WATCH for BL fans.

The story:
The story is amazing. Most BL dramas are all about school but this one isn't really which makes it refreshing!! The story is actually really good and I was constantly wondering "how did he die?" So the story keeps you curious and entertained.
What I loved most about this series is that it's also about the difficulties of coming out. The male lead is getting teased about getting a girlfriend and about (possibly) being gay and more.. if you get teased a lot.. it makes it harder for someone to accept themself and to come out. So those struggles were really well portrayed.
The only thing I didn't like 100% is the ending. The two didn't get separated but they also can't totally be together since the guy is still a ghost. That's too bad.

The acting:
I freaking loveeeee the actors. The side characters were lots of fun and totally cute. BUT the main actors.... OOFFFFF WE STAN! The male actor (the living one) is soo cute. I have seen him in different dramas but he keeps evolving. The other male actor (the ghost) was very adorable. And when the two got together it was like two matching souls. They have great chemistry together!! I loved that.

My opinion:
Despite the two never really getting together.. as two living souls.. it's still a beautiful, cute and romantic drama. So I'd definitely rewatch this... like too many times.

TOTALLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Absolutely stunning!

I started watching this drama when it started airing. From the beginning until the end, throughout the weeks, I stayed curious. This series is SO addictive.

I want to talk about 3 main points in this story: The story itself, the characters and the music.

The story:
The story was so beautifully executed. It's about a woman haunted by her past and her family. The male lead and his brother are connected to her past. And it's mostly about overcoming your fears and growing to do what you want to do and not let the past ruin your future. The lessons in this story are so important and by adding different elements like illustrations, the autistic brother and a closed off, almost psychotic, woman.. you'll learn the lessons on the most beautiful and heartwarming way ever.
The mother of the female lead is absolutely haunting and psycho and the father of the female lead is someone you can somewhat have different feelings about.
The story kept me on my toes.. like constantly. It kept me wondering about the story and the story kept me guessing.

The story summarized in words: haunting, heartwarming, thrilling, heartwarming, stunning and funny.

The characters:
First of all, the actors are absolutely gorgeous! The male lead is so good in conveying the feelings of his character. You can sympathize with him and understand his actions which is important as a watcher. You can also understand why the male lead is so closed off with his feelings while watching the story evolve.
The female lead is freaking amazing! Not only is she gorgeous, snatched around the waist with an amazing style of fashion... She is absolutely hilarious and even though she's a bit crazy... She is also relatable. The actrice is very good at conveying the right emotions, loved it!
The brother of the male lead is autistic and haunted by his past. The actor does such a good job acting like an autistic person. Sometimes it was a bit too (with the stuttering.. I don't know if it's usually this much.. but I think they could've switched more between fluent sentences and stuttering or not finding the right words) but I guess they tried to show an heavily autistic person. However, the characteristics of an autistic person were well conveyed. The brother really added more to the sentiment. And I love that they are trying to show off more kinds of people. Everyone has their own struggles and things and that was so well portrayed in this drama.
The side characters were either funny, scary/creepy or just really sweet. Loved them all.

The music:
Absolutely amazing! I personally really like Puzzle from Yongzoo. All the music is either touching or well fitting into the story with a fantasy and mysterious kinda vibe. Which is logical since the female lead is a writer of fantasy children books. So well fitting!

I personally loved it. I would rewatch this story just to be able to watch it at once instead of waiting weekly. Also, the actors had such great chemistry.

Ps. I would honestly also just rewatch it for the female lead 'cause she is stunning, has amazing taste, she is funny and just... I could look at her face and fashion for hours.

Story: 10/10
The storyline is so beautifully made and filmed that I can't give it lower than a 10. I was hooked to the storyline. Even though, I generally already love stories in which someone needs to be undercover.. this is a new look on the concept. The woman needs to hide in North Korea and adjust to the lifestyle while staying away from all the danger. Despite being so locked up, she actually finds herself and her happiness which she had lost. She learned the value of love, life and loyalty. The growth she makes throughout the drama is amazing to watch and you might actually learn something yourself too. Besides that, the innocence of the fellow soldiers were also beautifully played and just so adorable (AND FUNNY).
I really just binged this drama 'cause it got me soooo hooked.

Acting/Cast: 10/10
ALL THE ACTORS WERE SO GOOD AND CONVINCING!! The fellow soldiers had their own unique personality which were all well played. You will definitely fall in love with all of them!!! Some of the characters might fool you. You'll think that you hate them, but you'll actually grow to love them.

Music: 10/10
I loved all the OST's. It doesn't happen very often that I listen to the OST's seperately, because I watch so many dramas but these ones are just sweet and amazing.

Rewatch Value: 10/10
I've just finished the drama so for now I won't rewatch it, but I will put it on my ''to rewatch list''. So when I'm yearning for nostalgia, I will definitely rewatch this drama first.

Overall: 10/10
I would recommend this drama to everyone who loves: romantic dramas, cultural dramas, undercover dramas and action dramas. Also, if you're interested in North Korea, because even though they've romanticised some things (in my opinion) it's still a good representation of how it'd be in North Korea.

Awkwardly sweet

I think this is THE best Japanese BL out there. I've seen many LGBTQ dramas and all those dramas have similar aspects. Yet this drama is so refreshing. Something not done before. (I will spare you a detailed explanation of the story)

In this story there are two male (lead) characters. One of the guys can read minds and discovers that his colleague (aka the other lead) likes him. The best part is that he is totally nonjudgmental against his colleague being gay or even himself being potentially being gay. This makes the story just really sweet and a light-hearted watch.

The contrast between the two male leads, one of them being shy and one of them being confident, is reallyy cute and it is really well portrayed.

I really liked the side couple too. It made the story a whole lot funnier. Just seeing the male's best friend struggling with life and in his love life.. in my country (The NL) we call it "leedvermaak" (enjoying someone's pain-ish and struggles haha)

Overall, I'd recommend this drama. I'd recommend it more as a light watch than a really deep story (though it is about learning how to be confident and speaking up for yourself; so it has some deep subjects).

If you want to enjoy yourself and feel your heart flutter, than I'd say: "Watch this story!"

Spoiler!:
There are no kisses but the tension between the male leads makes it unnecessary. It's sweet enough! It was so sweet that I didn't even notice that there was no kiss!

Shortly explained: It's not the best, but I don't regret.

The acting was freaking good! The storyline however was a little disappointing. I did think the acting and music made up for it though! There were cute moments in it too which I adored. (And sexy moments ;))

Some characters were really fucked up (on another level), but the show entirely was very entertaining to watch.

If you're a BL fan, this is a good drama to watch.

Don't be too judgemental about the drama and the characters though because some characters have seriously mental issues and you need to be able to see the story from their perspective.

Gotta be honest - SPOILERS

I will make this review as honest as possible.

First, the story (it gets a 6 from me):
- The story started out great yet it quickly became really messy. The reason why it became messy is because of Wayo, Pha(?) and his new "love" interest. At the beginning, Wayo is heartbroken because Pha left him. Which is okay I guess. It's a new start for Wayo and he'll get a new lover.. or so we thought. Throughout the story we never really learn or get to understand why Pha left and Wayo's supposedly new love interest knows why Pha left Wayo.. yet there has never been a full disclosure. So at the end of the series, we -watchers- know nothing more than we already knew in episode one. And this is only about the side couple!
+ I loved the main couple! Kit and Mark are absolutely my favorite paring in this series. They were lovely, sweet and teasing. The only sad thing about this couple is that after they got together, their screentime started to dissolve. I wanted to see more of Kit and Mark! The story gets a 6 because of this paring! They saved the series.
+/- I also liked the other side couple (don't recall their names sorry). They had chemistry... It's just that some things between them were never resolved. I'd like to see them be the main couple in the next season or series so they can work out their misunderstandings and feelings. I want them to get out of the "I like you but I'm supposed to dislike you" fase.

The acting (gets a 9 from me):
+ The acting was good. I didn't think ALL the actors were great, but I especially loved the actors portraying Kit and Mark (!). They were such a teasing, fun couple to look at. They really portrayed it really well.

The music (gets a 9 from me):
+ The music was good. Not memorable but just suitable.

Rewatch value (gets a 6 from me):
+ I will probably rewatch this series when I'm bored but only for the main couple and for the (lesser known) side couple. I'd love to rewatch KitKat's and Mark's sweetness.
- However, I'd skip through the parts of Wayo and his love interests. 'Cause if it doesn't have a good ending in another season, I'd not want to watch his sad and confusing story again.

Overall I'd give the series a 6.5. If you loved KitKat and Mark in season one like me, I'd recommend you to watch this series. To see them develop. However, if you don't know the characters that well and you're not EXTREMELY bored then I would not recommend the series.

I hope this review helped!

I've watched this drama twice. The first time, I was sooo hooked to the story. It was still airing but the drama kept me curious about the couple throughout the airing weeks. The second time, I binged it in 2 days and even though it was my second time, it still kept me hooked to the couple.

I must say the couple's chemistry is amazing. The doctor (male lead) is goofy and not cold like male leads often are in a lot of dramas. The female lead is not annoying just really sweet and cute. I wish she had a little more spice (when going up against her mom), but that's just a minor thing.

I got annoyed at the stepsister and her follower, the journalist guy, but I'm still happy she got an OK ending. At one point it got so irritating that the stepsister kept working against the female lead. It's as if she kept pulling more and more tricks out of her sleeve. Like HOWWW?!

Confession: The storyline isn't impactful so if you want something deep.. don't choose this one. If you want something sweet and lightweight, choose this one.

The actors were so well chosen for the role. I really appreciate that. Especially the goofy guy. I loved that. It was a fun, sweet and lighthearted watch.

I'd recommend.

(Warning: I'm team Sun oh)

I just finished watching this drama like an hour ago. I really wanted to watch this drama as soon as it came out but when I heard that it's a Netflix drama and that it has an open ending.. I was really hesitant. I waited for ages until I saw a fmv on youtube and I was convinced that I had to watch it. No regrets there. I finished it in a day.

The drama is beautifully shot (like most kdrama thb). I love the actors and their acting. Especially, the female lead. I guess I have a sort of secret love for her and her acting. She's just great.

I hope there will be a second season with a good ending and her ending up with Sun oh though. I hate open endings.

Also, I wish there was a better explanation to why Jojo left Sun oh. Like, I understand that Jojo is afraid of him and everyone knowing the truth and being hurt. But there must be another reason. Is it because she doesn't want to hurt Sun oh because she totally did. Or is she just too afraid to speak out her feelings and thoughts? In this case, I just want her to grow a backbone. Afterall, everyone saw her personality grow a little. Being able to speak out to her aunt and to her niece. Now she just has to tell the truth and her feelings to the one she really loves aka Sun oh. I really don't want her to keep Hye yeong close to her when she knows she'll never feel the same for him. She is just leaving him hanging. But he too... He should just let it go. (Actually he was quite creepy when he followed her at the beginning of the drama.)

(Side note) The girlfriend of the male lead is quite pathetic actually. I feel sorry for her. She loves Sun oh dearly but he'll never love her back. Especially, not the same way. And Sun oh.. my dear... Has a pathetic family. Everyone that he loves keeps saying they don't love him. And Jojo dumped him so harshly and suddenly, it's sad.

Thus, I gave the storyline a 7 because of the ending. Oh and because of Hye yeong was being a bit creepy.

Dear potential watchers,

I would definitely recommend this drama if you want a really lightweight, cute drama.

I've watched this drama 5 times already and even though the storyline could be better and is sometimes a little bit repetitive, it's still a really good drama to watch.

The idea behind the story is already somewhat silly to begin with but it has a great start. I absolutely love it when the drama is about north and south korea and I love the secret agent concept.

The acting is absolutely lovely and I loved how they filmed the drama. It's a bit childish and it's an easy drama to binge when you're in need of some comfort and cuteness.

THE MUSIC IS A 10/10 I LOVE IT!!
The actors are also cute and I just love looking at Eric's face in the drama.

So if you're in need of something silly and romantic, watch this drama.
You can also listen to the OST's to know if you want to watch the drama or watch videos about it. It always makes me nostalgic so whenever I hear the songs, I ALWAYS wanna rewatch the drama.

The story is about a terminally ill girl. Her only last wish is to date her favorite actor so she hires a lookalike. This is kind of a silly wish, but I guess lots of people have weird wishes before they die. The lookalike, however, can't act. Because the lookalike was hired to act like someone, his acting naturally improved. Also, the girl's background story really got to him so for once he really tried his best to improve his acting. He fell for the female leads' character and for her inner strength which is beautiful.

The story might not be really creative but for a webdrama it's sufficient and entertaining. It's really short and just really cute to watch.

The actors were great. I loved to see them together on screen.

The music was really fluffy too. Loved that!

Overall I think it's a 8.5 for this webdrama. I actually have seen this drama three times already. It's just entertaining.

The end is a little sad but still lighthearted. Be warned.

Bitter sweet

First I want to add a disclaimer. I was team Sun Oh and I was very very disappointed that Jojo went to Hyeyeong. But before I started watching season two, I decided to put my feelings aside and now I will tell you my objective opinion (well okay opinions are never totally objective) about the series.

First of all, I gave the drama in overall a 7. This is because some parts were too fast for me and some parts too slow. It felt like Jojo was suddenly in love with Hyeyeong while she still had lingering feelings for Sun oh (at least it seemed like this). Some parts were too slow for me, like around episode three it felt too slow. While episode six went by very quickly because it contained a lot of information about the story and characters.

Second thing, I really liked the part of the brothers. Gok Doo as the developer of love alarm one and the brother who made love alarm two. And I loved the lesson at the end. Something along the lines of: You shouldn't let people rely on technological innovations and decide for people whom they should and will love. To me it's still a little unclear what happened to Gok Doo in the meantime and it's sad that we'll never know the exact reason why he was in the hospital.

Third thing.. (AND THIS IS MY BIASED OPINION) I feel like.. Sun Oh was a a dream to Jojo like he was the first person to be there for her and the first person to give her heart flutterings. Sun Oh gave her real feelings of being in love. Yet, I feel like she went for Hyeyeong because he was more reliable (in her opinion). Not someone that would make her feel as in love with butterflies in her stomach like with Sun Oh, but someone she can rely on and feel safe with. And.. I don't know how I feel about this. She looks less in love but more relaxed.

Last but not least, I really loved how the story ended for everyone. Everyone has an ending they deserved. The niece, gumi or something, got lowkey dissed by Dok Goo. Dok Goo decided to work on new things again. Sun Oh wants to move on and had sort of closure on why Jojo treated him like shit. Hyeyeong got his love and Jojo let go of her past and realised that she was a victim of her parents and she decided to move on and be happy. The aunt of Jojo decided to look for happiness with her hiking group. All in all, a fairly good ending for everyone.

Honestly, the series is good and the idea is fresh. I was just fixed on team Sun Oh for like two years. If the two seasons were released immediately after each other, then I might've understood why she went for Hyeyeong. But even though I did enjoy season two, it was just disappointing for my ship. Sun Oh went through so much because of Jojo's egoism and her fear. I do understand her actions but I can't lie I'm not disappointed.

I give this season a 7/10 based on the fact that some things are not explained well and some of the slow scenes.

Ps. I did really like the ending scene with the dates on which her alarm went off. (For the people who already watched love alarm season two, you will understand)

This was my first BL drama and honestly this is why I fell in love with BL. The drama was so sweet and addicting. I watched this drama in one day because it was just so adorable.

The two mains are super cute together... Especially the length different <3 and I adored the side couple too.

The story isn't too dramatic nor complicated. The drama is really light and easy to fall in love with.

Just a cute little drama <3

(I do warn you because if you don't like clichés, it's not for you...and there is not much happening. I adore light and cliché dramas so I loved it but for the people who don't ... You're warned)
