Both explore the idea of time loops and how they can or cannot change someone's fate, although Extraordinary You approaches the idea from a more deeply rooted philosophical point of view (Martin Heidegger's theories of being and time and being-in-the-world).

Also, both have high school settings and filmed scenes at the campus of Seoul's Yonsei University, featuring the distinctive Underwood Hall as the entrance to the high school.
