Light-hearted and straight forward.
Unlike most 10-minute episode cdramas I’ve seen, I actually enjoyed The Little Wife of the General. The FL’s personality is quite lovable and for once the ML isn’t a forceful (and lowkey creepy) jerk. I found the dynamic of the two leads to be reasonable and realistic given that they are practically strangers who only met after their marriage was done and over with. The longer they know each other, the more involved they become, and the more they think of one another. The romance isn’t out of this world, but its sweet and simple.
I have to mention that the very best part about this drama is that it doesn’t take itself too seriously. You can almost tell that the cast and crew had fun with it instead of actually overplaying into those all too well-known, classic cliches. Even if the plot was nothing particularly new, I never thought of it as cheesy because of the comedic elements and professional acting.
If you have time on your hands and are looking for a short little romance to enjoy, I say go for it!
