As a stand alone story, I ADORED it!

Yes, I know this was the long awaited for 3rd part (sorta) of the Moon series. But with every new season, also came new casting, for me it was just too hard to deal with. So I'm judging this on a stand alone story.

I absolutely adored it. It's light, fluffy, with easy drama and LOTS of lovey dovey, sweet moments. There is fun, silly banter, with plenty of innuendo. There is lots of flirting too. If you are looking for that kind of romance, this is the series for you.
It's one I will definitely come back to, when I want something I don't have to think too much about, but can sit back and enjoy the romance and lovey dovey cuteness.

Everyone learns to communicate with their partner, and the dramas are short lived and dealt with in a mature way.

The make-up spice, & 'lets heat things up' spice timing felt natural, and gives us just enough to be satisfying without going too far over into NC land. What I really appreciated was that they acted like they (all the couples) really liked each other, and wanted to be with each other intimately. Which to me is just more natural, and how we act when in a loving relationship. We WANT to spend lovely moments both in and out of the sheets. lol Many times we get a one time only make out scene and nothing the entire rest of the series.
Some of the kissing was a bit awkward, but I always overlook that and chalk it up to new actors. lol .
There were a few moments when this mature woman blushed. :)

Every couple gets air time, the established couples have all their sweet moments, as well as a bit of drama to keep things lively.
The new couple is entertaining, and cute. And once they admitted their feelings, they were ALL in. I like that. I loved their height difference.

The villain storyline isn't too overwhelming in badness, and it all ends well. I didn't have any smoke coming from my ears, nor did I yell at my screen while watching. It's always nice when I can just enjoy the show. I also love when the jealous rage is not about the girl.

The girl who plays Manfah does a stellar job in her cry scene where she is trying to hear and believe the words Tarn is telling her, and still keep her emotions under control. Her disbelief and tears were prefect. She was very believable.

I really appreciated the wardrobe, especially in the bedroom. The choices just make sense. I always hate it when after a sweet romantic night, they get out bed either fully clothed, or with jeans and belts still on. lol

I loved all the romance!

I binged watched this series, once all the eps were out. I often get more out of them when I do this.

it was such a pleasure to see Yim in particular NOT playing a silly, goofy character.
they both looked spectacular and Tutor looks stunning in EVERYTHING he wears! (and doesn't wear)

all the actors did a good job. Marc was super hawt too, and honestly, about every body in this is good looking.

spoilers :

the story is about 5 writers who as a break from the everyday, decided to write a BL together. Each of them write in a different genre, so it takes some effort to bring the story they are writing together in a cohesive way. (much of which we miss)
At the same time, they are struggling to write their weekly web stories and meet their deadlines too.
oh, and there is an online chat group of the 5 writers, where they discuss the story (and other stuff) while dressed as their spirit animals. Too funny!

it can be confusing though, because you suddenly see the actors in a new place/content/world/character, and sometimes the chapter before doesn't exactly match up to the next chapter, from the prior episode. Especially if the chapter is from their personal web story, and not the team one. (which happens with out much notice. lol)
The Wuxia parts are so pretty (part of mostly Obun's imagination and the story he's writing, but the same style is used for the group story too.)

but once you understand that those chapters don't have much to do with the actual storyline, it's fine. :))
so don't stress too much trying to understand them.
Just treat them like someone walked into your room and read you a chapter out of book you aren't reading, while you are watching a show. and they keep coming back to share another chapter with you. :)) and because you love them, you just let them ramble on while your show is paused. :)

there are some random 'drama' moments. They don't last long, so don't worry too much about them. (very low stress, low anxiety show)

everyone of the 5 writers will get some sort of partner. You may think that it's strange when it happens, but I think they were just trying to not leave anyone out. shrug

there are plenty of nice kisses, and some pretty darn good spice scenes too. very tastefully done.

after ep 7 there are tons of lovey dovey romance moments, which filled my heart and made me laugh many many times.

as for the rewatch value, I LOVED all the romance, so for me I will definitely revisit it in the future.

many people seem to be bashing this series.
But I loved it. hope you find it entertaining, and enjoy the eye candy!

Short but nicely done coming out story

overall pretty good story.
acting wasn't bad. Jaffe was a little over the top with that laughter.
Chai did well.
interesting way to move the story forward, using music and action, but no dialogue in several parts.
mostly easy watch.
warning- their is a hard slap in one scene.
watched on YT. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFifCdlf9e0

SPOILERS
TBH, I'd slapped that girl's hand away much sooner. lol. how annoying.
Bottoms up when drinking is so distasteful. And if you can't hold your drink, don't do it.
Drinking and driving, just don't.
"I'm not going with a gay." uhhh honey, you are in a gay bar. I mean, the place is called BLOW, and there is a rainbow attached to a banana at the entrance. eyeroll
For Jaffe to say it was no big deal, that he's been spoken to like that lots of time, and he's used to it, is really sad.
I hate when parents ask their kid a question, but then don't let them speak to actually answer it. smh

Dang pops, that was one heck of a slap!
I like how they focused on pop's grief. Finding out his son is gay, the dreams that he had for his son, future, family, etc going up in smoke so suddenly. That's a lot for him to handle. But if he'd listen to his son, there is no reason why he can't be happy and understand that the future may look differently, but ultimately it's HIS future to live, and as a dad, he should want his son to be happy, fulfilled, and successful in his own way.

1 yr time skip
Even Yok came around. wow. Love her little cherry tattoo on her arm. :))
as did pops.
and oh what a good wedding kiss. I man, they've been together a year, so I'm glad it wasn't just a lip press. lol

A mobster who likes it rough, but has a heart of gold. or does he?

This is my second time watching...but my first review
Overall: This series if awesome if you are NOT looking for sweet, fluffy, or darling romance. There's red flags, bd**, codependency, violence, murder (off screen), and general chaos. Lots of reviews say it's cringy. For me, it's not. It's got some sweet and adorable moments that made me smile, and lots of messy, chaos which I also enjoyed.

Acting: I love an actor who is a good cryer. When they are able to actually bring real tears, don't cry too loudly, and let out these heartbreaking little sobs or soft crying noises. This always connects me to the character, and I can immediately feel their pain. I'm invested. I found myself wanting to hug Kim (Ton) throughout much of this series. He does some emotions very well.
Yoon is a terrific bad guy with selective tastes in the bedroom, and plays the character of Kamol perfectly. Their chemistry is sometimes awkward, but at the same time, undeniable. Skinship and spice moments are plentiful. Permission is asked, so that's always a plus, but the pain is also a given. I love how whispery Kamol's voice is when he speaks to Kim. If he looked at me with that intense look, I'd be a puddle. Just saying....But when he's ticked off, watch out! I love the swag in his walk, esp in ep 6. For me, he could have shown even more fury and that would have been just fine. lol
Love the girls, Sammy is her usually humorous self -it's nice seeing her in a grown up, office role. Baitoey is not someone I'm familiar with, but I really love her. Her character Metawee (Mai, Mei, May) defends and tries to protect her boss in a non-crush kinda way. She's also his go-to for advice.
Kuma Punnathorn Pornprasit who plays Salmon did a spectacular job especially for a child actor. He's simply adorable.
Really enjoyed all the side characters.

Cast: the boys are crazy built, and hot, the ladies are pretty. what more do you need?

Story: It's different. lol...the business parts of the story are full of lies, double crosses, chaos and violence. The mobsters are mobstering, so keep that in mind before you watch, this may not be for you. From ep 6 on the total chaos is real. Danai is over the top. I do wonder just how many phones and ipads he goes through. lol
The romance part of the story....oh my. One night stand becomes more, even if one of them isn't sure what he wants. But since he does some personal research after his first night--Methinks he doth protest too much. lol
If you like the enemies to lovers trope (they aren't really enemies-just that the one being chased is running very hard) , keep watching. But beware, there are plenty of red flags, and forceful behaviors. (he doesn't use force per say, but his personality IS forceful and determined to get his own way). I actually loved the way they developed their relationship over the length of the series. Kim says no with his mouth, but yes with his body and expressions. So there are a lot of mixed signals.
The ending is soft, and sweet, with an unexpected surprise. lol
The tigers? well, for me that's a big NO. They should be in the wild, or a refuge. Not someone's home. Everytime Kim sticks his hands into the cage, or holds onto the bars I'm like NO NO NO....lol

Memorable quotes:
Kamol-I can be whatever you want me to be.
Mei-The didn't try to kill you, did they?
Kamol-He's so stubborn, just the way I like it.
Lop-I am so dead.
Kamol-A person like me doesn't threaten.
Danai-If you love him so much, I'll send you both to hell.
Kim-I know who I am, and what I am doing.
Kamol-What past? There's only the present and the future...

Wardrobe: I LOVE the styles in this series. The jackets were really on point. The turtle necks, the suits, the glasses....They did a great job with all the cast. The assistant girls (Metawee and Jin) clothes are SOOO awesome! I did feel that a lot of Cherry's clothes looked more like she was going clubbing, and not really dayware, or rather ready for her attempts at espionage. lol

Product placement: without it, there's no series. lol...for the most part, they do a good job blending them into the story in the early eps. gets to be a bit much as the show progresses. But it is what it is.

Music: the score often increases the dramatic value without overpowering the dialogue which is great. and it's not constant noise. I appreciate some down time from the music.

Filming/Lighting: most of the time it was fine. But the dramatic flashes for some of the scenes were a bit much.

Timeline: Yeah, don't ask me. Supposedly, the first half or so happens while Kim in on his 1 week vaca. But this makes no sense, considering everything that happens. So don't stress too much over it.

Final note: The 3 main body guards are all gorgeous, and deserve their own story. After about ep 7, you start to see more of their personalities. I love that they know ALL about their boss's preferences, root for him, and seem to love him. lol Oh ep 10 will live in my mind forever. lol
The side romance well...I love this little crush, and since they are both of age more power to them...irl they are only a couple years apart, although the younger seems SO young. lol
