Review by a doctor: love the medicine, hate the romance
I have a love hate relationship with this drama. On the one hand I absolutely love the medical aspect. I'm a doctor and this drama was so well researched and very accurate. I enjoyed the cases and also the medical lifestyle and the hardship of doctors and their relationship with the patients, all was very relatable.BUT I did not like the romance at all. Mostly it made me uncomfortable and cringe. I know that's more of a me problem though. The characters too I had a hard time liking though they did grow on me by the second season. Honestly all 7 of the stars I gave go to how well they did the medical aspect of the show. It's hard to find something so well researched. Props to the people who worked on the drama.

The cast in this this movie was spot on! They were exactly like they are in the anime/manga (except, maybe, Kazehaya). It was uncanny how much they matched! The only exception was Kazehaya. But I like the movie Kazehaya better. He's cuter ;) The acting was pretty good too.
Though I felt the story dragged on, it had some important lessons on friendship and love. Sawako was so innocent and sweet! You couldn't help but like her. Her friends were really nice, I would really like friends like them! The side stories were nice too. Like Chizu and Ryu's almost-love-story.
The humor was pretty good. The movie made me LOL at times. But I think in this aspect, the anime was better.
Kazehaya is the perfect boyfriend! He's so nice and sweet and caring. He's an all-around nice guy. And he has the cutest smile ever! I would love for him to be my boyfriend! No wonder girls liked him so much. And it's so sweet how much he trusted Sawako. How much all of them trusted her.
Sawako was a unique character and I really liked watching how she grew. Maybe I'll read the manga to see what happens next :)
My favorite scene was the last one when Kazehaya finally "reaches" Sawako. Yup, they used the title! And I love it when they do that! =D Oh and when Kazehaya angrily grabs Sawako's hand and takes her outside the gymnasium. Love me some jealous boy!!

The story was so predictable! I knew what was going to happen from the very first episode, in fact, from the first few scenes. It's not like I read the plot or story-line somewhere else, it's just that the story was very very predictable. At least for me. But that didn't make it any less interesting to watch. Because, even if I figured out how everything was going to end, I still didn't know how everything would unfold. So that was interesting to watch. But the plot-line in general was loosing some reality.
An issue that I had with the drama was it was too confusing in the beginning. It was like I started watching it from the middle instead of the start so there was no introduction to the characters or anything like that. They did eventually get to that but it was frustrating in the beginning. Plus, I don't know if it was the subs or the drama was actually like that, but I didn't get some of the things. Some actions and words were really confusing. So if it weren't for Donghae, I probably wouldn't have watched the show.
The acting was pretty good. Donghae did an amazing job! I liked Choi Jin Kyuk too. I have to say, out of everyone, Park Geun Hyung was the best! Seung Ji's and his grandfather's relationship was so adorable! They seemed like real grandfather and grandson. And I noticed, Donghae acted best in his scenes with Park Geun Hyung which shows that he was comfortable with him the most. Out of all the relationships in the show, this relationship was my favorite.
My second favorite relationship was Seung Ji's and Won Il's friendship. I've never shipped bromance in my life! Ever! (Except in the earlier seasons of Supernatural.) But I just loved Seung Ji's and Won Il's relationship! It was so cute, the way they teased each other and looked out for each other ?
My third favorite relationship is the romance between Seung Ji and Pan Da. It was really cute! ? It was like 'teenagers in love'. But it wasn't really my favorite romance. And I don't think it was the main focus of the show either. I think they gave more importance to the friendship, which is good.
I didn't really like Pan Da as a character. Don't get me wrong, I love Yoon Seung Ah! I first saw her in Playful Kiss and I really liked her then. And I think she's really pretty and she did a good job playing the role of Pan Da. But it's the character that I don't like. Though I can't really pin point what I don't like about her. Maybe I'm just jealous she got to kiss and date and hug and lay in bed with Donghae.. *crying*
A character that I really liked, and will probably remember for a long time, is Eun Bi. I don't know why but I just loved the way she spoke! It wasn't elegant or anything, I just found it... amusing. And she was really cute and funny ? I also loved Won Yi! She was so bubbly and lovable!
All in all, it was a pretty good drama. I wouldn't go around recommending it but I wouldn't stop anyone from watching it either. If you love Donghae (like I do) then this drama is a must-watch. Gosh, Donghae looks amazing in the drama! Not that he doesn't look amazing elsewhere. But seriously, I was swooning over his most of the time, so the flaws of the drama didn't even matter to me.
Oh and I almost forgot! The music in the drama was amazing! My favorite songs were Please Don't by Donghae, Don't Go by Donghae and Loving You by Super Junior K.R.Y.

I will tell you why I didn't like this drama. But first let me explain why it got 3/5 rating from me. Yoon Eun Hye. 2 out of the 5 is for her alone. She's an amazing actress! I already loved her as a model but I had only seen her in Goong before this so I couldn't say anything about her acting. So let me just say, I love her as an actress as well. She did such a good job playing a tomboy! And I love how she's not afraid to make a fool of herself on camera. She's also really good in the intimate scenes which, I've seen, is really rare among Korean actresses. So props to her for doing such a good job on the drama!
The other 1 is for the rest of the cast. All the Coffee Princes, Eun Chan's sister and Han Seong and his girlfriend. These were my favorite characters on the show and the actors did a splendid job in portraying them. I will talk separately about each of these characters, starting with Han Seong.
He was the first character I liked. He was cute and nice and I liked his story with Han Yoo Joo. BUT I hated how he gave Eun Chan mixed signals. It was obvious he was in love with Han Yoo Joo. And he just liked Eun Chan... JUST liked. Anyway, he was a good friend to her and I liked him. Oh and can I just say? I want to live in his house!! It's so beautiful!
Ha Rim was so cute! How can this cute boy be a playboy? And his "My Chan" was the cutest thing ever! It made me so happy every time he said it! I know it's weird, don't ask me why, but I loved his 'My Chan'!
Sun Ki was probably my favorite Coffee Prince. I loved his side story, his gothic style and I want his waffles!! There's not much to say about him, I just loved his character.
I really liked Min Yeop. He was funny, cute and innocent and reminded me a lot of Bong Joon Gu from Playful Kiss. I hated the way Eun Chan's sister treated him and how he let her treat him like that.
"She's so pretty!" That was my first thought when I saw Han Yoo Joo. I liked her character, the way she played it, but I didn't like her character's personality. Does that make sense? I felt like she loved Han Seong. But then why string along other boys? That annoyed me.
I think the actress did a good job playing Eun Sae but, like in Han Yoo Joo's case, I did not like her personality. She used Min Yeop and it was really rude. I got really angry at her numerous times. But I did like how she ended up.
Hong Gae Shik was funny and.. umm.. disgusting! But I liked him still. He was a fun character.
I'm mentioning Han Kyul in the end because he was probably my least favorite male lead in all the dramas that I've watched till now. Something about him irritated me. He was OK. Nothing extraordinary. Honestly, I think Eun Hye overshadowed him. One thing that stuck with me about him though was that he cried like a little boy. Which I found really funny. There's this scene in the drama where Eun Chan is leaving and Han Kyul cries and it's supposed to be really sad but I just kept laughing! :P He does have a good singing voice though...
I didn't care much about the other characters. I did like Han Kyul's family a bit. But that's it. Overall, the characters weren't that memorable I'd probably forget about them soon.
Now the reason why I didn't like this drama. The story. Just give me a moment...
There was nothing wrong with the Eun Chan being a tomboy thing or Han Kyul falling in love thing with him/her thing but it was the same thing in each fricking episode! Only the first few and the last few episodes were different. In the middle the story went like this: Eun Chan and Han Kyul are getting along well. Then suddenly something happens and they fight and breakup. And then they realize they love each other so they makeup again. And the cycle continues. Have you heard Hot & Cold by Katy Perry. There are a couple of lines in the song that go like 'We fight, we breakup. We kiss, we makeup.' That pretty much sums up the Han Kyul-Eun Chan story.
And that's what happens between Han Seong and Yoo Joo too. Their relationship depends on Han Yoo Joo's mood. If she feels like staying with him, she will. If she feels like leaving, she will. And Han Seong just stands there, waiting for her verdict.
And then there's Min Yeop and Eun Sae. That girl treats the poor boy so bad and he still follows her around everywhere. Hong Gae Shik's love left him after using all his money. Suk Ki is following a girl who is abused by her husband and STILL cares about him and doesn't take Sun Ki's help. He left Japan and came to Korea for her! Then Han Kyul's messed up family secrets. This drama is just full of unhealthy relationships! One or two would have been fine but it seems like each and every relationship in the drama is messed up! This annoyed me a lot!
This is also the first drama where I felt like sleeping while watching it. Trust me, I'm not lying. What with all the repetition, I felt so sleepy and bored. I was screaming at my screen to please go faster because the drama was so slow!
You know, this drama would've been good if it weren't for all the repetition and the stupid, complicated relationships. Eun Chan cried so much I felt like giving her a slap. She was supposed to be this strong, independent girl. But she kept crying in, like, every other episode! I think the directors love making Eun Hye cry (like in Goong).
It started out good. And I also liked the last 2 episodes because they moved a bit faster. But the in-between was hard to watch. I really wish I had liked this drama. The cast was excellent! But the story, which is the most important part, just made me really angry and I couldn't bring myself to like it.

This drama had two stories; the Cheong Song Yi~Do Min Joon love story and the Lee Jae Kyung crime story. One of them I liked, the other not so much. The story I liked:
You would expect me to like the love story, right? But that's not the one I liked. The only reason why I saw this drama to the end was because of Jae Kyung's story. His character fascinated me from the beginning. And parts relating to his story were the only ones that didn't bore me.
Jae Kyung was so creepy and Shin Sung Rok played him so well! I loved the detective (Se Mi's brother)! The actor played him very well and this whole story was just so interesting to watch!
*Minor spoilers ahead*
I'm so glad that the writer used the "Monsters are born" theme rather than the "Monsters are created" one. I really wanted Jae Kyung to be evil. 'No guilt for my actions' kind of evil. He was already scary and all through the drama I kept wishing that they wouldn't justify his actions by saying that some tragic accident made him like this. So I was glad that this went the way I wanted to.
*End of spoiler*
I only wish this story would have been dealt with more. That there would have been more of this story in the drama. But that wasn't possible because the main story was the love story...
The story that was meh:
I should have liked the love story... The acting was amazing and I really liked the characters as well. I felt really guilty for yawning through Song Yi-Min Joon romantic scenes. But they bored me. I think maybe that was more my fault than their's... There were some scenes that I liked though. The beginning scenes were funny and cute. You know, before they swore their undying love for each other. The kiss scenes were pretty good too. But I got really bored with them in the second half of the drama.
I wish they would've showed how Do Min Joon's planet was. At least given a little more detail...
Other things I liked:
I loved Song Yi's brother! I want a whole drama with him as the main character! At first he was mysterious, then he became cute and I really loved him! What I can't believe is that he, who was I think about 18 years old, was played by a 26 year-old guy! And it didn't even show (unlike Lee Min Ho in Heirs)!
I loved Do Min Joon and Lawyer Jang's relationship! It was adorable! Lawyer Jang was adorable!
I really didn't like Hwi Kyung at the beginning. But when he started investigating his brother and showed how smart he was, I fell in love with him! I honestly thought he would say 'My brother can't be like that.' and turn a blind eye to everything. But he proved how smart and strong he was! I'm proud of you Hwi Kyung!
Final Verdict: This was a good drama. The acting was outstanding! And the story was pretty interesting as well. I would highly recommend this drama! For me, it was worth the watch. If not the love story, it made for a good crime story!

*This review may contain some spoilers. Read at your own risk.*I loved loved loved this drama sssoooo much!!!! It's my new favorite!! The story was amazing. The characters had so much depth. The acting was really good. I loved everything about this drama, except the ending. But we'll come to that later.
Story: I loved the story! It was different from the stories of other Kdramas but similar in some ways too. I wanted to watch something that had the 'royal' theme in it so I'm glad I chose Princess Hours. It had me hooked from the first episode! Though the repetition of Shin going to Hyo Rin, Chae Kyung getting hurt and Yool telling her to leave Shin was getting a bit too much, it still didn't bother me enough that I would love this drama any less. It was funny and made me LOL numerous times. It also had me crying with the characters, getting angry at the characters and falling in love with them. I got very emotionsally invested in this drama and that is how I know it was awesome!
Characters: I liked all the characters in this drama. Each of them had their own stories and their own reasons for doing the stuff that they did. Though I got that they made Chae Kyung out to be a childish girl her acting sometimes got to my nerves. It was annoying sometimes how she acted. I mean she was 19 years old! Ha Ni in Playful Kiss did a better job. She played a similar character but she at least did not come across as someone who had a psychological problem or something. Nonetheless, I love Yoon Eun Hye and she's really pretty. I'll have to watch her in another drama to see if I find her a good actress or not. One thing I really liked about CK is that she wasn't that stupid. She stood up for herself in front of Shin instead of taking the abuse. The best thing about her was that she didn't reciprocate when Yool made a move on her. She was wise enough to keep her distance and I respect her for that. The poor girl was all alone in the palace. A free soul forced into a cage full of rules. Shin was not open and did not share feelings. Neither did he listen to CK's feelings. Yool was the only person she could talk to. The only person who understood her. So I do not blame her one bit for being so close to him. It was obvious that she only saw him as a friend and didn't harbor any romantic feelings towards him.
I had somewhat of a love-hate relationship with Shin. I adored him as a character but sometimes I got frustrated with him and was like 'use your brain dude!'. I felt sorry for the poor guy. He was stuck in that palace with all these strict rules and regulations without any friends. That's why he never learned how to relay his feelings. In the beginning we see Shin as a rebelling teenager but he changed a lot over the course of the drama. Ju Ji Hoon's acting improved a lot too, over the course of the drama. I loved seeing Shin grow from this arrogant, selfish brat to a loving and caring guy. I started out by hating him but then ended up loving him.
Oh Yool! My baby Yool! I loved him from the moment I saw him sleeping on the couch surrounded by books. A guy who's adorable and loves to read. What could be better? AND he likes the Harry Potter books! AND he's sweet and caring. Yup. I'm a goner.
Now, a lot of people didn't like Yool and said that he was selfish and clingy. I beg to differ. The poor guy had it as hard as Shin did. He lost his dad when he was 5. He and his mother were forced to move out of the palace. Not only that but he witnessed his mother trying to commit suicide at the age of 10. That's serious stuff and leaves a scar, especially on a child's brain. His mother was crazy with revenge and had been telling him since he was 5 that his kingdom was taken from him and he has to get it back. He loved his mother a lot, that's obvious. And he did everything he could to make her happy because she was all he had. That is why, even when he was not interested in the throne, he went along with his mother's plan. Then this girl came along and he fell in love with her. People argue that he didn't love her. He wanted her because he thought she was first his and was taken from him. Well folks, then he should want the throne more, shouldn't he? Why leave the throne for a girl you don't even love? Let me remind you, he was ready to even leave his mother for the girl. If that's not love I don't know what is. Now onto the part about Yool constantly telling Chae Kyung to divorce Shin. That irritated me, I confess. BUT I seriously think he thought he was doing the right thing. He saw how bad Shin treated CK. He saw how much he made her cry. So when he told her to leave him, I think he believed he was saying that to save her. Not to bring any misery on her or Shin or bring any shame on the royal family. As you can see by my long long rant, I loved Yool. And I believed he was right in his actions. When you love someone it's hard to leave them. But he never forced his love on CK. He only wanted to stay by her, even if it was as a friend.
I loved CK's family! They were so funny! And they loved her so much. They were a bunch of really sweet and funny people and they made me laugh out load loads of times. I loved seeing them on-screen!
Yool's mother was the selfish, evil villain of the drama. She wanted her son to be the King and it had nothing to do with her love for her deceased husband. She was really manipulative and clever and I should have hated her. But I didn't. I don't know why though. I have no explanation for her actions except that she was evil. But her transformation in the end was believable. Because she loved her son too. And after that blow she only had to realize what was more important, her son or the throne. She made a wise choice, one she should have made without having to go through all the pain and without making her son go through everything. Oh well, all's well that ends well.
The royal family was... something. They were not very clever, that's for sure. The only smart person in the whole family was Shin's sister. I think they wanted to show that since she had traveled the world she was smarter than the rest who spent most of their time in the castle. That doesn't mean that everyone else was stupid! They just weren't so bright.
I didn't like Shin's father much. He had an affair with Yool's mom. But she was the only one who was punished for it and no one said a thing to him. He was too rude to his son while he liked his lover's son better. That's just wrong. I really liked Shin's mum and I felt sorry for the poor lady. She never got love from her husband. She was made the Crown Princess suddenly and unexpectedly, being forced to take so much responsibility all at once. She could not spend much time with her son. Because of the palace rules she lost herself. So the way she was strict, it was only natural for her. The actress who played her did a splendid job! I loved her acting! Shin's grandmother was the most adorable thing ever! She was just too cute and she made me laugh and smile so much! I loved her a lot!
I really liked all the servants. I loved Shin's 'heaven'. He was somewhat of an assistant or manager. He was really sweet and I really really liked him. I also really liked Lady Choi who was Chae Kyung's teacher and caretaker. The girl who played her did an amazing job! CK's servant girls were really funny! All in all, I really liked the side characters too.
Shin's friends were your typical "F4". Arrogant, mean rich boys. There wasn't really anything special about them, to be honest. The one with the camera was really weird. He seemed... not normal. The one with the glasses was weird too. The only normal one was the one who liked Hyo Rin. I kinda liked him. Chae Kyung's friends were very weird too. They made me feel very uncomfortable. I don't think any 19 year old acts like them... do they? I've seen fan-girls in real life but they were just something else. The only normal one was the one with glasses and pretty, long hair. I liked her.
I really don't know how I feel about Min Hyo Rin. I liked her but then I didn't. I hated that at first she said no when Shin asked her to marry him and then she tried to sabotage his wedding and get him back. I respected her for choosing her dream over him. But the respect when down the drain when she started saying that she wanted Shin back. Girl! Make up your mind! In the end I think I didn't like her very much...
Props, set and costumes: I bet they spent a fortune on this drama! The props they used muse have been expensive but they added a lot to the royal and historical significance of the drama. I watched in the special episode that they created most sets using computers. Well they did a pretty good job! I loved seeing the Korean culture. The real Korean costumes and attire, the ceremonies. Everything was so fun to watch!
I'm so glad that the boys in this drama did not look gay... They didn't wear girly clothes or too much eyeliner. Sometimes I loved CK's outfits and at other times I hated them.
I loved Yool's clothes! But more than that I loved his necklace! He wore the same necklace in every scene throughout the whole drama. I thought that maybe it had some special significance to him that they would reveal later on. But they never said anything. Nevertheless, I loved his necklace and I want it too!
Romance: I loved the romance! It was hot and cute at the same time. I was in favor of Shin & Chae Kyung ending up together. I wanted Yool to be happy but not with CK. I loved the cute and funny scenes between Shin & CK. I liked how he got jealous when CK spent more time with Yool. I loved seeing how Shin's feelings changed towards CK and he ended up falling in love with her. It was all amazing! I liked Yool's and CK's friendship but I didn't want them to end up together. I could see Yool really loved her but I could also see that she considered him nothing more than a friend.
Ending: I was disappointed with the ending. But I knew that the ending would be disappointing. How? Because whenever I watch an amazing drama, the ending HAS to be disappointing. :/ So, the disappointing thing with this ending was that it felt too rushed and didn't pack up quite neatly. You get what I mean? The drama was pretty slow compared to the ending. I didn't understand some things so I had to make up my own assumptions. It was like they said 'oh lets just end it quickly and get it over with!'. I didn't get the Macau part. That rings part was stupid. I think they should have made another episode. To end things nicely. Instead of rushing it all. It felt like they left it in hopes of a second season. Well it's been 7 years since this drama came out, I don't think we're getting a second season (though I would love to!).
Wow! That was such a long review! But I loved this drama so much and I had so much to say about it. One thing I've seen, after reading other reviews of this drama, is that you either love it or hate it. Well I loved it and I'd highly recommend it!

Story: The story was a contract-relationship type story except this time the girl was supposed to be a cousin. Even then it did have those cliche scenes you usually see in contract-relationship dramas. They did make for some great laughs though. I loved the humor! It made me actually laugh out loud which is rare for me. So yeah, ten points for good humor. The mystery surrounding the real cousin was good too. I wasn't a big fan of the love triangle square but it didn't bother much if I focused on the main couple. The pacing was good though it did become a bit slow towards the end. Or maybe I felt that way because it the story got serious. Overall though it was an interesting and enjoyable story.
Characters: I loved Joo Yoo Rin & Seol Gong Chan! And Lee Da Hae and Lee Dong Wook did a great job playing them! I especially loved Lee Da Hae's performance. I haven't seen her in anything before so I wasn't expecting much but she did a wonderful job! She made Yoo Rin likable, even lovable! Yoo Rin was a liar and swindler but her heart wasn't bad. And Lee Da Hae made sure everyone knew that from the start. Yoo Rin was funny and bubbly but the best thing I like about her is that she was smart! You don't see many smart girls in these type of dramas but Yoo Rin was smart and independent and Gong Chan was the innocent one.
That brings me to Gong Chan. The writer broke a lot of stereotypes with Yoo Rin's and Gong Chan's characters. Usually, in these type of dramas, the guy is controlling and rude. He doesn't respect the girl and if he starts liking her then he treats her even more badly. That wasn't the case with Gong Chan though. He was genuinely a nice person. He did care about others. Sure, he was rude to Yoo Rin sometimes but I never felt like it was too much or it was to hurt her. He was also innocent and really really cute! I've only seen Dong Wook in Roommate, which is a variety show, so I didn't know of his acting abilities. But he did a pretty good job here! His expressions were spot-on!
The other two corners of the square, Jung Woo and Se Hyun, I spent most of my time ignoring them. I felt like Jung Woo didn't respect Yoo Rin. He was always like "I'll make her be with me." "I won't let her go." and stuff like that which really made me think lowly of him. And Se Hyun was Se Hyun. Your typical, manipulative, second lead ex. So I obviously hated her. The actors who played these characters were okay. Not very good but tolerable.
Out of Gong Chan's family, I loved his aunt and uncle! But hated the grandfather! I don't know why, I just hated him. Jung Woo's mother provided some good humor with Gong Chan's aunt. Out of Yoo Rin's family, I loved her best friend and her brother! Especially the brother and his sweet little romance with Gong Chan's secretary! It was adorable! I hated her father though!
Romance: Lee Da Hae and Lee Dong Wook have great chemistry but I enjoyed watching their friendship more than their romance. I loved their relationship! They were like best friends and I loved seeing their friendship grow. Both of them were really cute and their scenes were my favorite ones!
Overall: I really enjoyed watching this drama! Even if it is almost 9 years old, it seems new and fresh. It is very well-written and I would highly recommend it for fans of romantic comedies and fake relationship dramas!

Story: The story was full of mystery and suspense and love and emotions and loads of cuteness! I loved every moment of it! The romance played out so well! But more about that later. The mystery of Soon Ae's death and creepy officer Choi was so good! There were scenes during which I actually got goosebumps! The drama played the supernatural element really well and it blended with everything else. From start to finish this drama was perfectly constructed, with great consistency. Despite the ending being a typical drama ending, it was done right for a change. It left me satisfied and even though I miss these characters, I'm very happy with how the drama ended.
Actors/Characters: I loved the cast! Such talented actors, all of them! And deep, well-written characters. Na Bong Sun was my favorite character! She was so adorable! And I saw so much of myself in her! I connected with her a lot and most of the time I just wanted to give her a huge hug! Park Bo Young did a mind blowing job, playing Na Bong Sun and Shin Soon Ae. You could differentiate between the two girls with only her demeanor. She was so good with both characters, both of which are complete opposites. This girl deserves an award!
Is it just me or does Jo Jung Suk has a Gong Yoo vibe? He's just as gorgeous and just as amazing an actor. I mean everyone in this drama is an amazing actor! And Jo Jung Suk wasn't any different. I loved Kang Seon Woo! He was somewhere between a bad boy and good guy. He was sweet and adorable and had depth as a character. Loved him!
I love Kim Seul Gi! I love the quirky character she plays so well! And she was perfect as Shin Soon Ae. She made me laugh, she made me cry. It was just so much fun to watch her onscreen. Her performance was really great!
Onto my second favorite character, Choi Sung Jae. Hey, don't look at me like that! I have a thing for psycho characters :P But honestly though, how amazing was Im Joo Hwan's acting? Makes me want to check out more of his dramas. One second he is the nicest person you have ever seen and the next he has this sinister, murderous glint in his eyes and the look on his face will haunt your nightmares. No but seriously, I loved is character! I felt sorry for him but he was also so scary! A very interesting character.
Yaay for ahjumma friendships! I seriously loved Seobingo and Seon Woo's mother! They reminded me of the only thing I loved in The Heirs (other than the Chan Young/Bo Na couple). They were so adorable and funny, together and separately. So were all the people who worked in Seon Woo's restaurant. They were such a goofy, endearing group! I also loved Seon Woo's sister and her story was heartbreaking! I loved how pure and innocent she was.
Romance: Na Bong Sun and Kang Seon Woo are ssooo adorable together!!!! Like I can't even!!! Their cuteness had me smiling like a lovesick fool! I seriously loved the two of them together! And even though I liked Soon Ae I was team Bong Sun from the start. The love triangle was very interesting and I loved how it played out.
Overall: I loved this drama to bits and pieces and if you haven't seen it already then what are you waiting for?! With romance, mystery, great acting and amazing story and a pinch of scary this drama will make you fall in love with its awesomeness!

I loved the acting. Song Ji Hyo does crying scenes so well and I love Lee Sun Kyun, he is one of my favorite ahjussi actors. Even the side characters were great. I love Lee Sang Yeob from Running Man and he was just as funny and cute here. I loooved Kwon BoA who I didn't realize was THE BoA until I saw the cast!!! Kim Hee Won's character was trash but he played it so well! And Ye Ji Won is a queen! My favorite though was baby Kim Kang Hoon ??
The characters were written really well. Very flawed and real.
The story was good up until the end where *spoiler* the main couple got divorced for no reason other than the wife wanted to because she felt guilty. And then just as it was shown that the husband was moving forward, they got back together? It felt like that was just added to stretch the story more, which was annoying. This drama already had fewer than usual episodes (12 instead of 16) and yet they needed to add fillers. It could have ended at episode 10. The side stories were awesome though! Ah Ra's revenge arc and Jun Young, Bo Yeong couple ??
The direction & production was so bad. I wouldn't have noticed it a few years back, but now I do notice such stuff and it felt like the directors and editors just could not decide which style they wanted to go with. They switched so many styles in a single scene that it got annoying.
Overall it was a good watch. Worth it for the life lessons and baby Joon Soo.

On Your Wedding DayI FINALLY watched this one and loved it as much as I knew I would!! It's so adorable and I highly recommend it to everyone!! The acting, the story, everything's amazing! It isn't "unique" and has been done before many times but I loved it still.
The way the two leads' friendship and love develops, the way we fall in love with the characters and want them so badly to be together but the damn timing just isn't right each time, really gets the viewer involved. I had all the feels.
*Spoiler* I was so sad they didn't end up together but it also made sense. This is life. It's reality. You don't always end up with the person you want to be with. Life gets in the way. And I was so glad that the male lead didn't try to force the female lead into running away with him or anything. He was respectful all the way. And loved her so much. Damn I want a guy like that. *Spoiler*
Anywho, amazing movie. Do watch. Worth it. 5/5 ?

Story: I lloooovvvveeee best-friend romance stories!!! And this one was sssooo good! It was cute and funny but also serious at times. Plus it was very close to reality so it was relatable. The story didn't go boring for me at all, it was interesting and believable and all the plot twists were really good!
Characters: All the characters in this drama were very real. They were taken from real life. They were flawed characters who made mistakes. They were like normal people, like you and me. I felt this very strongly while watching this drama. How real the characters were. But that doesn't make them any less interesting.
This drama has some of my favorite characters. I'll start with the minor ones. I ADORE You Qing's family!! Especially her relationship with her mother (which is a lot like my relationship with my mom). It's just so cute and adorable! Her parents are the cutest thing ever! Her siblings are funny and VERY sibling-like. And I just really love the whole family!
I've only seen Ariel Lin once, in her MV for Fireflies with Siwon and Donghae (from Super Junior). I thought she was cute. She's really cute and pretty in this drama too. But she's also a very good actress! She did a great job playing You Qing. She brought the character to life. You Qing as a character was very real and relatable. I found her in myself a lot of times. She's headstrong and seems arrogant but has a good heart.
Li Da Ren!!! Oh I want a Li Da Ren too please!!! He's the perfect boy! The perfect best friend! And just... ugh! So cute!! I mean look at that nerdy smile and dimple!
He loves You Qing so much and is always there for her. He's a good son and a supportive big brother. And he's an amazing person overall. He's like the king of 'good boys'! :P I did get angry at him sometimes because I wanted him to tell You Qing already that he loved her. But I got his reasons too. Of why he didn't... so it's OK. I love him still. 'Cause he's just too adorable!!
The other characters were great too but none of them impacted me in a way that I would mention them here. Some were funny and all of them helped the story line. The 2 characters keeping our main characters away from each other, major one being Ding Li Wei, weren't all that bad. I mean, they were decent people. And like I said before, real people. It's just that they liked the wrong people. Maggie and Ding Li Wei could have been likable if they didn't come between our main couple. But that's what the writer's have shown. Because, in a way, it was because of these relationships that our main characters realized that they loved each other and that they were soul mates. (Cheesy much? :P)
Romance: The chemistry between You Qing and Da Ren was so amazing! From the beginning they were 'made for each other'. As I said before, I'm a HUGE 'best friend romance' fan! So I loved the romance in this drama! I don't know what else to say... I cannot get enough of this couple!
Overall: I would HIGHLY recommend this drama, especially if you like best friend romances! But if you're only looking for a funny and romantic drama then this would do the deal for you too. I, personally, loved this drama a lot! It definitely made it to my favorites list! Great acting, amazing story and all in all a wonderful drama!

I really don't like Park Shin Hye. I don't like Go Mi Nam either. Shin Hye is really not a good actress. At first I thought that maybe it was the character, but I saw Heartstrings and she's the same in that. And Go Mi Nam was such a crybaby and clueless. She was one hell of an annoying character!
I didn't like Tae Kyung at first. But he grew on me. I think Jang Geun Suk is a really good actor! He had to do some pretty embarrassing scenes but he did them with perfection. And I loved his 'cry' scene! In the beginning I used to hate that duck face of his but I ended up loving it. I think Tae Kyung is a great character and Jang Geun Suk played him really well!
My favorite was Shin Woo. He was such a sweetheart and a gentleman! But sometimes I got frustrated with how he didn't convey his feelings to Go Mi Nam. But when he did, I really really wanted him to end up with her!
Jeremy was just so cute and adorable! I loved how he spoke and when he cried, I wanted to hug him. His 'Jolie' was so cute! Lee Hongki did an amazing job!
All the other characters were really great too. Mahanager Ma, Wang Coordi, Yoo He Yi, President Ahn. All of them were really funny and likable. The paparazzi person and Go Mi Nam's aunt were such annoying characters. But they were funny too. And Tae Kyung's mother was a really great character too. Kim Sung Ryung played her really well.
One thing that bothered me the most were Tae Kyung's and Jeremy's outfits. Jeremy's were so stupid. And Tae Kyung just looked gay. I don't know, maybe they wanted to show Go Mi Nam as a guy so they tried to make others seem more like girls...
The romance fell flat for me. But it didn't bother me either because it was just something happening. Like I didn't really care much for it. I liked the other things in the story better and as I said, I didn't like Go Mi Nam so I didn't really care who she'd end up with. To be honest, the top reason I watched this drama would be because I fell in love with Jung Yong Hwa ?
All in all, it was an amazing drama. Not number 1 on my list but does come in top ten. If you like to watch romantic comedies, with a few tears and hot boys, then You're Beautiful is your drama ;)
