Cute historical romance
I initially started this cause I saw a clip of the main leads first meeting and was intrigued. I haven’t watched any historical cdramas before so this was my first and I throughly enjoyed it! The plot wasn’t too invested into politics and focused on romance so it wasn’t too heavy but also it wasn’t super light so it was a perfect balance in my opinion. Main girl did get irrational at times but it was easy to gloss over and made her character more realistic rather than just perfect. I adored the main guy so much his transition from a cold general to a man who cared deeply for his wife was so so cute and even after the main couple got together their chemistry was still great! I loved the little special scenes they added at the end of every episode and was so pleasantly surprised that the last one was a take on them meeting in modern day! Caesar wu was so cute and acted well as well as the rest of the cast. At first I really didn’t know what to think of the emperor, however, he turned out to be a great character and I loved his character arc. Also the ninth prince’s son becoming emperor alongside the girl who saved him was so cute and she truly made a good empress so I was super pleased with that. The background music was also spectacular and fit the moods so well so applause to the music team as well :) Overall, this was a cute historical drama that’s not too long and not too political heavy that you can easily get into! Was this review helpful to you?

PAST STORYLINE
started watching this cause someone recommended it to me. Tbh I found this to be decent it wasn’t anything special like I had expected but it wasn’t horrible. My favourite character was yiren tho so I wish they gave her some more screen time and developed her story. I preferred yiren and main girl’s best friend above main couple as well just cause main Couple was excessively dramatic at times and the main girl was kinda annoying sometimes. Yiren’s character development was great I wish it was more developed but I liked the process of self love she went through. For main girl I wish they made her self love processing less tied to main lead cause it felt kinda forced. Overall it’s good if ur bored and want something to watch. Was this review helpful to you?
CUTE ROM COM
The drama exceeded my expectations! The way the main leads matured, specifically the main girl was refreshing to see. It was realistic in how their relationship progressed and how they learned to overcome their struggles with each other. The main guy was such a sweetheart I adored him. The drama started off fairly light and focused on the romantic aspect towards the end it focused more on the main girls past and the plot thickened, tbh I didn’t expect the plot twist so I was immersed! The leads had good chemistry as well as the other couples in the series. The friendship between the 3 leading ladies was great and I was very pleased with it. There was many funny moments that kept the mood pleasant. Also I loved how all the characters matured and you could clearly see it. Overall, I recommend if you want a cute light rom com to watch!!Side note: ending of ep 21 had me laughing for a long while whoever came up with that scene directing should get a comedic scene award

Typical cliche but with a twist!!
The show shows typical cliches with the backdrop of the wine industry, while it starts out like a typical cliche but also develops a mystery plotline which was nice to see! Loved the second male lead’s story and his love line with the editor! Main couple also had good chemistry. However, midway they do introduce a very stereotypical annoying second female lead for a couple of episodes which was entirely unnecessary and added unneeded annoyance but overall this is a good watch! The music was overall pretty good nothing noticeable but I enjoyed it. Rewatch value is lower since I think personally I wouldn’t enjoy it as much the second time however this is all up to taste. Overall Recommend!!Was this review helpful to you?

Horrible. DONT watch this
I originally never wanted to watch this adaptation cause I saw clips and thought it looked horrific (the main guy’s hair didn’t help the matter as well) but I decided to give it a shot cause caesar was in the cast lineup. Worst mistake ever this drama started as maybe somewhat hopeful? I did like that they changed the backdrop to uni rather than high school, however, the immediate response to the introduction of main dude was horrible. His hair did him so wrong and genuinely maybe if they made his hair normal he would’ve been less insufferable to see. While this version removed the f4 bullying basically it still included the harassment courting of main girl by main guy?? One forced kiss scene should’ve been enough but they added 2??? The relationship started off as toxic straight off the bat and only continued to progressively get worse with them breaking up over practically anything also this version took out many of the romantic scenes found in others and replaced them or altered them in a very dissatisfactory way. Never mind how main guy made it a job to insult main girl while other versions did play into this as well this version was by far the worst with him coming up with more creative ways to insult main girl each ep rather than idk? Helping their relationship? The second male lead was decent in this , however, in comparison to other versions he was fairly dull and a very static character as the rest of f4. The story centres basically only around the main leads despite being 50 eps with more than enough time to develop side characters it does a horrible job and the side characters are practically just accessories to stand around the main couple which made the story even more repulsive. The drama also seemed like it wanted to stand out from other remakes by adding in other plotlines such as the chef who works with her which I found pointless cause lei was already bland as a second lead what was the point of having essentially another second lead? However, I did like the cooking aspect they added so that’s probably the only plus I’ll give to this remake. Caesar played the playboy (a role taken by Kim bum and Shota Matsuda in other adaptations) and was a very watered down version of the character which was very disappointing also his romance with the main girl’s BFF seemed bland as well and I didn’t really care for it despite it being one of the things I was looking forward to in this drama :( . The show was decently funny so at least there was that but it was definitely not enough to out weight the cons. The ost was HORRIFIC and very disappointing I was wondering if they might try to make a Chinese version of paradise and add it in since it was a very popular and good ost however they did not and instead they only had like 2? Chinese songs which were nothing special and didn’t stand out. The remainder of the ost consisted of English songs which was so out of place and made it at times very awkward (especially the playing of run me like a river? Who even came up with that idea???!) overall this drama was a huge let down and by far is the worst remake of bof. If you wanna watch an actual good remake of bof just watch Hana yori dango instead of this garbageWas this review helpful to you?

Burst of cliches!
Started this cause it seemed to be full of cliches (it definitely was) and I was in the mood for that. It had almost every cliche you could name but that worked out decently well, however, towards the later half of the drama it seemed to drag for me and got boring.I kinda felt bad for second male lead here LMAO but the second female lead was literally unbearable ? very stereotypical evil second female lead and all her scenes were annoying however they weren’t that important to the plot so there’s always the option of skipping them. The Secretary lead the way for many misunderstandings between the leads but for the most part these were funny and added humour.
The male lead was fine but he was over possessive at times which was a damper the first half was better than the second half at least from what I saw. Overall it was an alright drama especially if ur in the mood for cliches

LET DOWN
Rich man, poor woman is a remake of a Japanese drama of the same name. I initially started this cause of junmyeon and I deeply regret watching this lmao. The remake was horrific and changed so much of the plot (not for the better) and had an insufferable lead. The leading man has a character that is seen as very undesirable unless he is acted out properly, in the original oguri shun did a great job of this and had a very chic confident persona. However, junmyeon definitely was not able to live up to this and his portrayal ended with a character that was cocky, rude and overall INSUFFERABLE (the changes to the story didn’t help this at ALL). They changed him looking for his mom to his lover which in general requires a big amount of chemistry between the leads to pull over, this version had practically no chemistry between the leads so that was a horrible move. Junmyeon failed to recreate the charisma that oguri shun gave the character and also showed no character development with the character (tho this can partially be blamed on the fact that the plot was altered to make him more insufferable and static as well). Main actress was very cute but her character was annoying in a way. Second female lead was definitely 3x worse in this version than the og, while the og second female lead was only annoying in some parts the second female lead in this remake was just as insufferable as the main guy there was literally no reason for the remake to make a plotline of them dating cause it added nothing but further frustration to the plot. The only part of this remake that I actually enjoyed was sunghoon playing the tech guy and his romance with her BFF other than that this was a major let down. Was this review helpful to you?

Feel good romance
I’ve been waiting for years for this to air, since they filmed it in 2018 and put it on pause until this year I was desperately waiting for this to air. I had very high expectations for this drama and I can say most of them WERE met. The romance between the leads was great I loved their interactions and I loved how they made ho joon so understanding and sweet and main girl was able to speak her truth (after a character arc) overall these 2 characters were very well developed and I LOVED LOVED the ending it was so sweet and I adored it. However, JJ and in hyung’s characters were kinda off for me. I have not read the webtoon so I don’t know if these characters are written like this in the og work but they were unbearable. While I felt bad for in hyung I didn’t particular care for her character and she seemed kinda like a bland character I wish they gave some more backstory or something on her so you could see more of her without her link to JJ cause she seemed to be there just to be angst for the two guys which was annoying. JJ was unbearable I hated this man so much he claimed to love in hyung but he never gaf about her until the very end really????? He made EVERYTHING about himself his victim complex was something else he even made her suicide attempt about HIM????? I hated that they didn’t make in hyung and JJ go their separate ways in the end cause they were very toxic together and it makes no sense for them to stay together. Also the ost was kinda annoying especially the main ost I really was expecting some hits in this but the ost really was horrific ? there was some good songs but nothing remarkable. Overall this was a cute drama with cliches but they were all so cute and endearing and I recommend for when you wanna binge something fun and light! Was this review helpful to you?

best bof adaptation!
I started this initially cause I heard it was the best adaptation and cause I had watched meteor garden (Chinese) before this and wanted to compare how bad meteor garden really is. This adaptation did NOT disappoint!! It was such a satisfying watch I loved it so much. The cast was amazing and the friendships between characters (especially f4) were great! I really enjoyed that in this version they really showed how close knit f4 is specifically the male lead and the second male lead. Unlike other adaptations where they fell apart because of the love triangle, this version showed how main guy truly saw rui as a friend in how they communicated, the friendship was so cute and I adored it. The main girl in this adaptation was also the best in my opinion she was never annoying and really portrayed the character well. The main guy’s character was the healthiest in this adaptation they skipped the harrassment stage that other adaptations included and instead had him pursue her in a healthy way without force which was a breath of fresh air after what other seasons did. He also had the best communication skills here as he actually talked out to f4 problems (particularly to rui) and was ready to apologize when wrong. The chemistry between the main leads was really good and enjoyable. Rui was amazing and probably my favourite character, in other adaptations I didn’t really care for the second male leads but in this one they really aced his character and I loved how he was showcased. All of f4 were adorable and I loved how they progressed throughout the drama. The ost was beautiful and so fun! I’ll definitely be listening to it often! Overall, this was a great drama and the best adaptation of bof that I’ve seen I highly recommend!!!Was this review helpful to you?

Sungkyunkwan Scandal Knock off
I started watching this for caesar wu and it began pretty good and I was interested! However after the first couple eps it got boring . This drama gave off Sungkyunkwan Scandal vibes and was very similar in the characters and how they were showcased. Personally, I didn’t even like Sungkyunkwan Scandal so this drama was even worse cause it felt like a knock off lmao specifically the role of the sword guy who couldn’t compare to yoo ah in’s protrayal In Sungkyunkwan Scandal. The drama also centred around the school mainly rather than the story of her dead friend’s backstory which made it lag cause I didn’t really care. However, It was decently funny. If you liked Sungkyunkwan Scandal maybe you’ll like this? Was this review helpful to you?

I started the tomb of the sea really not expecting to like it much since it didn’t seem like it would really appeal to me but it actually was really good. It took me some time to really get into it once I was there I really enjoyed it. All the characters were really good in their interactions with other characters and although the romance in this was slight it was very emotionally and conveyed well. I haven’t watched any of the other dramas in the tomb series, however, I was able to follow this pretty well? Really wasn’t that confusing and if it was a bit I kinda just skimmed past it and it was fine/explained later. Initially When I started the show, I did like the characters but I wasn’t too heavily attached, however, by the end of the show I was attached to so many and I Loved them sm. Anyways. I liked the romance arc played out in the later half of the drama. There wasn’t really an ost with actual words here just instrumentals mainly which were good but not memorable. The outfits for this drama specifically for wu lei were so nice and pretty I really liked them. Overall the plot was interesting and I really didn’t expect what was gunna happen next most of the time. I wouldn’t rewatch this simply cause it’s too long, however, I do recommend trying this out! Edit: I got attached to shen qiong way more than I expected like I seriously adored her props to the actress
