the series brings up important topics that provoke discussion
Story - The overall story was interesting, but I think the biggest takeaway from it is that it makes people discuss things that I don't think get talked about enough. As you can tell by the comment section that exploded (esp in the first few eps), we, as the audience, explored and discussed issues of sexual assault, consent/gray areas, PTSD, anxiety, depression, trauma, different avenues of healing (or not healing), internalized & externalized homophobia, obsession, and more. I think these are important discussions to have, esp with a young (not like children, but like teen and up) audience to have as they are going through similar issues as they also explore their sexuality. But yes, this is taken from a novel & you can tell because there's gaps in the series when they cut scenes or don't include the characters' thoughts that might've helped the audience understand the story, but the major gist was there & I think it was pretty solid overall... albeit with a few loose ends that I wish were tied up (like Type's best friend, etc.) & some plot holes.Acting/Cast - I think this cast did a phenomenal job. You can really feel the chemistry b/w Mew and Gulf (bringing up the fact that Mew was the only one who could make Gulf blush at auditions since that's relevant & apparent). We also get Mild playing a comedic-but-serious-when-he-needs-to-be Techno (I didn't think someone could replace Gun, but Mild did really well). Kaownah also did a phenomenal job of feeling off but not being able to pinpoint why. I also give props to all the actors they had to recast for roles given how popular the old LBC cast was & so they had to fill their shoes, which I think they did. My only real qualm is how old everyone is. It makes it easier to forget that they're young (they're only supposed to be like what 17? 18? They're freshmen, so...) because that makes the audience think that they should act/behave in a more mature manner.
Music: I mentioned this in a comment before, but the music really adds to the scenes. It's nothing memorable per se, but it really adds to each moment during the show (e.g., when they kiss and the music crescendos, etc.). There's also the main song, that was also great.
Rewatch: I never really rewatch shows, but I've rewatched episodes multiple times already. The fluff is sweet, the drama was dramatic, and again, it provoked thoughts about serious topics, which I think was great.
Overall: This was a solid watch! I anticipated every new episode coming out each week, and I'm sad it's over now, but it had a lot of strong points. However, I would like to give a content warning for those watching it, just in case it triggers the viewer.

One word: Beautiful
I think this show aired at the right time for me. I could put myself in the shoes of the granddaughter (and other characters at times), especially because my grandfather also has Alzheimer's (maybe that's also why I caught the hints so early on, too?) and I am having the same thoughts about my future. I think I cried almost every episode after that was initially 'revealed.' I related so much to this show. It was made even better by the wonderful production, the amazing cast, and the enthralling story line. Everyone felt so *real*, so human. It was just wonderful to see how people are so faceted. (This show was character-based, and I loved seeing the character arcs for everyone.) I just really love this drama. It's become my all-time favorite drama now. Up until the last second (literally), I loved everything that they did. The ending was so beautiful. I just (as you can tell) have no words to properly explain how good this show is. I highly recommend it to everyone. It was done so well. Was this review helpful to you?
Acting/Cast: They were pretty good. What you expect from these type of webdramas that you find on YT. I liked them all and thought they did a good job.
Music: I liked the pop songs that they put in. I think some of the MLs are from a kpop group, so I wonder if it's their song, but I'm not sure....
Rewatch value: It was okay. I generally don't rewatch things, and this was just a lighthearted quick watch that didn't have me be too involved in it since there wasn't that much to the plot. Light, quick, and easy.

Gripping from the first minute until the last!
STORY: I was enthralled by it as soon as it started and was unable to stop watching until the last episode (didn't help that every episode basically ended on a cliffhanger). I feel like almost every plot twist was an actual twist that I didn't expect, which is pretty rare. The story just kept unraveling, and I was excited to go along with the ride. There are two plots that are working throughout the drama: the action side and the emotion side, and they're both done so well. (My only qualm was with the last episode that seemed a bit trope-y, but it was an acceptable ending in my opinion.)ACTING: Everyone did such a phenomenal job. I could really feel the emotions each character portrayed. I really want to give props to Lee Joon Gi though since he was did so well, even down to what I would consider to be microexpressions (watch his mouth!)
MUSIC: I think the music heightened the experience while watching it by adding to the emotions and drama of each scene.
REWATCH: There are certain moments that I wonder if I can catch a hint of if I rewatch it, but even though I generally do not rewatch shows, this one was done so well that I think it'd be interesting to watch again.
OVERALL: After the first episode, I instantly started recommending it to everyone. It's totally worth a watch. It does cause a lot of stress though as you try to unravel the mysteries and hope that everything turns out alright by the end. But it's a good type of stress because it shows how good the drama is to invoke these feelings in the viewer. I also love how they really used that ~1.25 hours of each episode to the fullest.
WARNINGS: Just in case it wasn't obvious what you're getting into, just know that you will see people be murdered, be bullied, be kidnapped, and be stalked (and more). There's some disturbing aspects to this show, so be aware of that going in!

Now, for my actual review. I thought that the first 4 episodes were pretty good. Innocent girl meets childhood friend turned playboy and they fall in love. Nothing too wrong with that if a bit cliche. However, after that, their relationship put up way too many red flags. I do not like that this type of relationship is being romanticized, and to anyone watching it, know that it isn't good and people in these relationships should seek out help. It is absolutely disturbing to watch him get excused literally seconds later when he almost raped her. This is just all types of wrong. Even in the first 4 episodes where I was more forgiving since I branded it as their own way of flirting, there were red flags of an unhealthy relationship.
Rewatch: I wish I could give it a 0 since I would never watch it again.
**This is the first review I've written on MDL, and it's because I'm legitimately livid after watching this. I marathoned it all at once, and, starting from episode 5, I was shouting and cursing at my screen.
