Questionable Casting
So, it's kind of ridiculous how highly praised this drama is. I enjoy the lightheartedness of the show. Lighthearted shows are my favorite kind. There something to not take too seriously, you can just relax and watch as the story unfolds. My headline is "questionable casting" because lets be honest, Lee Sung Kyung looks nothing like a weightlifter. She's slim, tall and gorgeous so whenever she's eating or lifting weights it just takes me out of the show.I understand that the main point of the show is to be seen as a woman no matter what career path they may go down but at no point can I look at her and not think of her as a woman. If they had cast someone who actually looks like someone who lifts weights I would have enjoyed the show more. If you can look past the casting you'll enjoy it a lot more than I. Her character doesn't add up either, during flashbacks of her childhood she's fat and seems to only have an interest in food. So how she becomes skinny and tall doesn't make sense. Her character isn't really overly feminine, she's not particularly girly or anything but at times she can be over dramatic in my opinion, she cries a lot. I guess that's how they decided to display her femininity.
The side stories felt like filler mostly, there was no real reason to care about them aside from the ex-girlfriend. Her problems seemed a lot more serious in comparison to the female lead. Other characters didn't really get much screen time and weren't fleshed out but I think that's a good thing. There's quite a few characters, too many I think, so much so some were pointless.
The romance between the two leads is the best thing about the show. That's mainly because Nam Joo Hyuk plays the perfect boyfriend. When he pursued Lee Sung Kyungs character he wasn't obsessive, he just cared for her and was always there for her. It developed naturally and there was chemistry between the two, the romance is the biggest strength of the show. So if you love romance then I suppose you can ignore all it's flaws and just enjoy it for that.
There were moments I found funny but there were very few of them, the "what" was a nice addition. The music was okay, sometimes it was noticeable other times it simply wasn't. I don't have much to say in this regard what I can say though is that this drama doesn't have the a crazy amount of montages so many dramas do sometimes.
I made an account and wrote this review because the ratings weren't justified. There are much better drama's with a lower rating. If you only care for the romance though and can ignore all the flaws I mentioned then you'll enjoy like many others have.

He's dead.
The show tries very hard to ship the ML and FL which is the usual in K drama's. However, when the ML is dead it's pretty pointless... I just rolled my eyes whenever a supposed romantic scene started between the two leads. They could have gone in a different direction, I mean. I would have found it better if the ML just returned as helpful ghost, sorting out his family and his friends lives but instead they try so hard to ship the dead guy and FL. Just a waste of time and because it feels like a waste of time it just comes off as cheesy and forced.
I couldn't stand the shipping... I wouldn't accept an ending where he comes back to life as that's "too happy go lucky" and I would feel like they tried too hard to make the ending sad by pointlessly shipping the two leads when in my opinion it shouldn't have been a part of the show to begin with.
So... not worth watching imo, why waste everyone's time and force romance into the show.

Dragged on
It starts off well but with 52 episodes it just drags on. The worst characters are the parents... all of them. You think Dan Dan's dad is o.k but eventually his colors show but he's not as bad the others. The worst characters are the two step moms, the one for the ML and the one for Dan Dan. They are both all about money and self preservation. Dan's step mom is awful, someone who immediately plays victim when she's confronted. I wasn't sure if we were supposed to like her or not because her methods are tame compared to the other step mom. Man the other step mom is all kindsa crazy... entitled for no good reason and looks down on everyone. Oh and there's a LOT of times when these parents will disapprove of any relationships in this show. So if you hate when that happens in a kdrama I would stay away from this because half the show is trying to get parents approval. The rest is two cases of amnesia, abandoned kids, cancer and a pregnancy. Pretty much summed it all up. If this show wasn't 52 episodes it would be a whole lot better. Characters wouldn't come off as too stubborn and could actually be redeemed, but because these characters more or less do the same thing over and over it just gets frustrating to watch. I actually skimmed through certain parts because It was basically filler. Like another, lets try persuade them to let us get married scene takes place and again the parents are against it. A lot of this show is like this. Just repeats itself in a way and none of the characters actually grow or learn anything.
The headline is dragged on and that's the main issue with the show. Starts strong but just becomes frustrating to watch. When it finally ends its the usual predictable stuff. The leads end up together as per usual and all, and I can honestly say I did not care. I wouldn't say it was a complete waste of time, I liked the beginning but everything that happens after the second round of amnesia was just... a headache.
Oh and some of these characters talk to themselves waaay too much. It's done for exposition but it just comes off odd and funny... It happens frequently enough for you to be like... "who is he/she talking to?".
I don't think I'll take anything away from the show but I am wary of the longer kdrama's now...
