I was intrigued by the drama series before I even found the movie, but once I watched the (2011) movie I knew I had to continue with the series! I binged the entire thing, the (2011) movie, and every episode from this drama series, in one day! You definitely will not regret watching this series, from start to finish!

It is a heavy drama, at times almost "rated R", but it's so amazing that I cannot even begin to explain how because I don't want to risk any spoilers. Which is kind of stupid considering this is a review...

Either way, Eita and Matsuda Ryuhei are once again amazing cast together as the Benriya-san, they take on each request with respect and diligence to see it through to the end, no matter what, which sometimes makes things dangerous and risky, but that is what makes this drama amazing! There's just the right hint of romance to make this show perfect for me personally because I'm not much of a romance drama/movie watcher.

The music really stuck with me too. For some reason, Eita's shows/movies seem to have really good music no matter what genre of show/movie or music. I would suggest watching the (2011) movie before the drama series, it may be confusing as to some scenes and/or characters, but to be honest, I don't think it's 100% necessary either. I really hope more people will watch this series, movies and all!

Once again Eita and Matsuda Ryuhei do not disappoint! This movie was a little farfetched but that is what made it amazing; the outlandish characters, ridiculous storyline, thrilling plot twists... Definitely not a movie to miss.

It all seemed to follow different directions every now and again, but I was never actually lost throughout the whole story. I guess that's the wonder of movies; everything once jumbled up in a mess finally comes together in the end. This is a very interesting story; each character has their own outstanding personality and it seems that even though the focus was on Eita and Matsuda Ryuhei, they didn't seem like the typical "main character" stereotypes... to me, it seemed like everyone they came in to contact with was a "main character", and they each had their own story to tell.

The camera work was wonderful, it sometimes made me feel like I was following them personally, instead of behind a screen. This is a good movie to start my day off with, I'm glad I watched!

This drama has so much for only 5 episodes; it is honestly one of the most unique and talented drama series I have ever seen. It has so much more than MyDramaList's genre categories can label. I laughed and cried and got angry and worried and was curious with each episode. I am so glad this drama was made into a 5 episode show and not just one special; if it was made into a special, I feel like it would have lost something. The casting was wonderfully selected and each person felt very open and real with their acting, too. The stories were different for each episode but fit perfectly within the show. This is a good show to watch for your first Japanese drama, too! I absolutely recommend this show to anyone looking for something new!

Once again, it was nice to see a few actors/actresses that I really like cast in parts that I'm not used to seeing them in. It is nice to see a different part of people every now and then. The last drama I watched had an actor from this series as the "bad guy", so it was nice to see it reversed with another actor I'm used to seeing cast as a "good guy".

This drama takes on each case in the series almost in a "brand new" system with each episode; it was like watching someone slowly put together a puzzle to find out who the real evil was. It was interesting to watch it all come together throughout the series. Also, the music is wonderful.

Each casted person fits their role with superb chemistry through the whole series. I do wish, however, that there was something like a follow-up (not a special or 11th episode, but something like '2 months later...') but the ending was very nice! Definitely one of my favorite shows!

This is one of the funniest shows I've seen in a while. It has plenty of action, a teeny touch of romance, lots of comedy, and one of the best stories I've seen all year. I watched this because of the cast and the story seemed interesting, and that was exactly what I got to see!

Each cast member seemed perfect for their role; they all fit in together and worked well with each other. I cried, I laughed, I got worried and mad, too. This show had me feeling multiple emotions even in just one episode! I feel like it could have gone on for 11 or 12 episodes, however; this show's appeal, strengths, and talent are way too good for just 10 episodes!

Absolutely give this show a try if you like some (or all) of the cast members, and definitely watch this show if you like music or being a kind human being. This show is very funny, very kind, and very genuine and unique. It's a great show!

This show was one of the funniest, most ridiculous show I have ever seen. If you want something light, something funny, and something still within the detective/crime solving drama genre then you are in for a treat. The gag-acting from these characters is hilarious and the follow up is done really well, too.

For the actors to be able to stay serious while playing out a gag, then follow through without laughing and continue the rest of the filming must have been hard to do; personally, I laughed during every episode. It's nice to see the acting range of some of my favorite actors/actresses, seeing how they can work so seriously during hilarious gag moments just makes me like them even more.

If you're bored or just starting to watch Japanese dramas, then this is a good show for you to watch. However, don't put this show on a pedestal; it's meant to be funny and like a "normal day in school" and it's meant to make laughs, it is definitely not a serious crime/detective drama. The acting in this show is superb! It is definitely amazing to watch how some people work. This drama is a ridiculously funny show, and I absolutely recommend it!

I binged this series in one day. If it has 11 or 12 episodes, or even just 10, I'll at least try to break it up between days, but this drama was so addicting it was hard to stop watching! Even more so because it was based on a true story!

The acting in this show was superb, very honest and real life "doctors" in a hospital; I was annoyed sometimes and hated a couple of characters sometimes, but that's what happens within hospital "politics" I suppose. I had a love/hate relationship with a couple of the characters, too; but I think that's just because I don't really like romance stories and I've been watching nothing but crime/detective/scientific dramas for the past few weeks.

I like that they didn't try to make this drama to autobiographical, like a documentary; at first I even thought it was a manga adaptation. The director and writer(s) made this story a true-to-life, open, and honest story; in other words, exactly like a fictional setting so much so that I couldn't distinguish if it was a real-life story or not towards the end.

You can see the actors in this show are working their absolute hardest, for the show but for the patients too; the ending was a little bittersweet and sort of unexpected. This is a good drama if you like medical series!

This show seemed so interesting to me after watching "Mr.Brain", "ST Keishichou Kagaku Tokusou-han" and "ST Aka to Shiro no Sousa File" and I wanted to watch it because I've been in a detective/crime solving/scientific drama type mood lately... though I'm not sure why. Anyway... This show was amazing! Each episode had a different plot line that kept me in suspense the entire time, I learned a lot from the series, and never once did I guess what the ending would be; the show was very thrilling and had me on the edge of my seat with each episode.

I don't know why this drama has not spread like wildfire and continued with a special or a second series. I feel like it left off in a good spot, but I wish it continued on more with the story of White Labo. It was fantastic how they all worked together despite their extremely different personalities. I feel like the way they did not intrude too much on each other's personal lives was a bit much, but given this is a Japanese drama I'm not really surprised.

Each character filled in their quirks perfectly. Like who they acted as was who they truly were. I didn't even notice a Hey! Say! Jump member in the cast until I caught sight of the groups name in the credits after like... the fourth or fifth episode! This show told wonderful stories, one right after the other, and had me crying at the SECOND episode! It was nice that they took an episode out for each character to feel like "THE" main character, too.

This drama is wonderful. Thrilling and heartwarming and exciting and adventure packed until the last moment of the last episode. If you're just getting started with Japanese dramas, this may be a good show to watch but I don't think I would if I was just 'dipping my toes into the Japanese drama fandom', so to speak. This is more of an intermediate-level-type drama; meaning, once you get a few crime/detective dramas under your belt, then watch this drama. But, then again, I can't tell people what to do... this is all just an opinion. And I hope it helps you decide whether or not you want to watch this amazing show!!

I've been wanting to watch the "ST" series for a while, from start to finish beginning with this special but my timing was never right and I could never seem to get into it... until today that is! Kubota Masataka, Okada Masaki, and Watabe Atsuro were the only three that I thought I knew in this series, which was why I was interested at first, but when I started to watch I realized that I knew a lot more of the cast than I thought and I gained interest in a few new actors as well.

The story itself is pretty old, but not cliched in the least; the writer(s) and director really took their time and really made this storyline and plot their own. I never guessed the ending, nor did see a few twists coming throughout the special. A couple of pieces of the story felt rushed, and the ending seemed to quickly close off, but all in all, it was a very good set-up for the series! The characters were very well supported by nice back stories and they all felt very real and "human" (mini-spoiler alert).

This is definitely a good special to watch if you're interested in the "ST" series or if you like crime/detective dramas. Though I would not suggest watching this only because of a specific actor, because it will get boring really quick, I think that is what happened to me the first time I wanted to watch this...

This show was amazing! So much better than the American version. Seriously, this show needs more episodes; it was one great story after another, one great case after another, and each one got creepier and creepier towards the end! Everything and every character worked well together, some parts were slow or some looked rushed through but you get the gist if you watch the show in order; I had to rewind some bits of (if I remember right) at least 3 episodes to figure out some things, but mostly the episodes were easy to understand! A few cases had me thrown for a loop; it was like some craze was happening in Japan during the shows filming so they just tossed it into the show too, sort of like they were throwing in the newest fad or whatever caught the attention of the newspapers, and that wasn't too bad since it just happened in 2 to 3 episodes but it was kind of annoying and I found myself thinking "wow I hope they don't deal with every case like this".... which of course, they did not! My only issue was I knew and have seen episodes of the American version before, and a few episodes were so similar it was almost like a copy of them, but that doesn't mean the episode or the series was bad; on the contrary, I prefer the Japanese version much more!

Though I do recommend watching this with all the lights on.

I started to watch the first episode of this drama months ago, but for some reason I suddenly stopped... and I don't know why because this show is fantastic! Each episode works really well to tell the story and fill in the pieces, without going against the plot line to ruin the ending or let you guess what could happen next. The climax up until the ending was awesome! I never guessed what was going to happen and it was pretty nice to see Mukai Osamu in such a different role than I have before (granted i'm only going off two different shows).

The script was written very, very well! I liked the comedic tie-ins with sarcasm and wit, along with the heart wrenching moments of support, anger, happiness, heart break, worry, and success. The parts played by Chinen Yuri, Yamada Ryosuke, Arioka Daiki, Nakajima Yuto, and Kamiji Yusuke were possibly my favorite just because of their (personal) character, talent and skill, characteristics, personalities, and unique qualities! I did like the ending, but I also wish the ending could have been different. I don't know why, I just think it lacked a tiny little "something". Also, back to the characters, but... I liked Norito Yashima's characters in this order: Kenji Endo from the "Hero" series, Takasu Hisakimi from "Scrap Teacher", and Dracula from "Kaibutsu-kun". Granted, this is only based off three different series that I've seen him act in, but it's my opinion that his best acting is when he can be hilariously sarcastic and funny; he seemed to have a lot of good lines throughout this script!

This show is hilarious, sweet, stupidly funny, smart, and absolutely worth watching every minute!

This drama was absolutely amazing! The story had twists and turns and I never once could have predicted the outcome! Well... a tiny voice in the back of my head says: "yes, yes i could have"; so I can't say what I just said is ALL true....

Anyways... Yamada Ryosuke and Yokoyama Yu once again have blown me away with their talent, skill, personalities, and (personal) charachters. The show itself moves at a pretty medium-normal pace, but as Tanaka Ainosuke (Yamada Ryosuke) begins to figure out the power in his left eye and the meaning behind the cases, the drama does start to pick up the pace! I have to admit, at first I watched the special and this drama just because I'm on a detective-crime-mystery genre kick right now, but this show definitely blew past my expectations. The ending is not something I expected, but I felt myself feeling relieved at how it happened. I definitely suggest this series, but don't forget to watch the special before!!

This drama is a very ridiculous, lighthearted, suspenseful, energetic comedy detective show with a wonderful cast and really interesting stories for each episode.

Not one episode played out how I would expect it to, there were so many twists and turns that I couldn't even begin to pinpoint the true criminal in a couple of the episodes. A very underrated drama that is good for anyone to watch; especially if you're someone who is just beginning in the J-Drama universe. I think 10 episodes would have been better, though, because at the end of episode 8 it felt a little half-ended, almost as if there was more to come.

If you're looking for a good story that has some comedy and is still a strong detective/crime drama then this is absolutely the perfect show for you to watch!

Definitely did not see the ending coming!! The cast was wonderful; filled with familiar and new faces. I've only seen Koike Teppei in the movie "Kids", so this genre and type of story was a complete turn around but I immediately fell in love with the story, the cast, and the script. I watched all 11 episodes in one day; from about 1:30pm until 2:30am! If you're looking for a drama to break a slump or if you're just getting in to Japanese dramas, this one could be right for you! It fills the slice-of-life, comedy, detective, mystery genres very well; there is romance and some parts are a bit cheesy, but nothing too horrible. This drama was amazing, I was completely captured from the first episode!

The actors/actresses in this show could also lead the viewers to other shoes like "Kamen Rider","Mikeneko Holmes no Suiri", "the Quiz Show 2", "Kaito Yamaneko"... just to name a few!!

In all honesty, I only watched this drama for the cast! Nagase Tomoya, Ikuta Toma, Kaname Jun, Arakawa Yoshiyoshi, Nakashima Mika, Muro Tsuyoshi; the guest actors/actresses for each episode was just a surprise bonus! The story itself was nothing like I've ever watched before, although it did get a bit predictable in some ways, it still maintained the story line of a detective drama. The ending was not at all like I would have guessed! I definitely recommend this show for people who are new to Japanese/foreign dramas; the witty humor and unique personalities of each of the cast members is magnificent! A definite must watch if you like to laugh, too!
