Keep in mind, "The Man From Nowhere" has considerably more blood, gore, and violence than most movies. It didn't bother me, but if you have a weak tolerance to these things, then this movie may not be very pleasant for you.
Originally, I was looking for a movie to watch to kill some time.
I kept scrolling down and down but nothing really caught my eye. "Sunny" sounded ok, and "The Man From Nowhere" was even better; still not quite what I wanted, but the options were starting to get pretty slim; and since it was ranked #2, I decided to trust the statistics.
Now I feel EXTREMELY guilty that I was so hesitant to watch this movie. I should not have taken it so lightly.
In the beginning I kept thinking how this movie reminded me of the Hollywood movie "Taken". They both have a lot of fast-paced action, a sense of justice, a feeling of wanting to protect something important, and a seriously kick-ass hero to dish it out. :)
(though in my personal interest, Won Bin is quite a bit more attractive than Liam Neeson;))
I loved the little girl~! I couldn't help it. She was adorable ^^
More than that, this movie would be nothing without her.
Won Bin did an incredible job. I haven't seen very many Korean movies, but I honestly believe he could be the best actor in Korea, and one of the best in the world.
Amazing, I'm telling you, amazing.
This movie made me laugh, and made me cry. That's not something you can do easily in action movies:)
Now, I think I'm going to go watch it again :D

The story line was quite similar to You're Beautiful's version, but if you've seen both dramas, you can see a lot of differences-at least, I did xP I won't go into specifics. Main point: if you liked You're Beautiful and are still hungry for a similar plot but not so identical it's boring to watch, you should try watching this drama:)
The casting wasn't my favorite. I never questioned any of the actors except the main roles. They were attractive, don't get me wrong. And their acting was top-notch. But standing next to all those extremely hot guys, they somehow just ended up "ok".
But not matter how much it sounds different, I really did love the main roles. They were adorable! and so much fun:)
Another thing that bothered me throughout the entire drama: Seung Yeon's chest!! She was supposed to be a MAN. I'm quite sure those could not be classified as man-boobs; they were pretttty big~ There was no overlooking them. Even in baggy shirts. They probably could have done a better job wrapping those things up!
I loved that all the actors in this drama actually had talent (In Young excluded since I never actually saw her doing anything a talented superstar might do... don't even mention the heinous dancing!!-though I'm sure I could do much worse;)) their singing & dancing was fantastic!! The re-watch value went up a LOT just for the sake of hearing those amazing voices again >.< Loved it

But if they were to remake it(which is so sad.. they should have just done it in the first place if you ask me) they would definitely need better planning.
Some of the last episodes were mostly wasted because they went in circles over the same problem. Realistic, because it takes us awhile to figure out how to solve our problems, but crappy because you don't want to watch your favorite character smash their head against a brick wall over and over again in multiple episodes.
This ridiculous circling was easy for me to ignore at first, but even I lost my patience with it.
What's worse, it didn't leave enough time in the last episode to give the drama the ending it deserved. Don't get me wrong; I've seen worse, but it was lacking.
Another thing that really bothered me throughout the whole drama was that Shin Won-Ho, the guy who plays Kang Kyung Joon, hardly had a part at all. You think being one of the three main characters would give him some space to act, but no. He spent almost all 16 episodes in a coma. Very frustrating to have such a cute guy not have his turn.
Then again, if he did, I'd probably cry because I wanted to see Gong Yoo more ;) hehe
