Don’t let the age gap tag stop you from watching this!

First of all, this drama offers more than you can expect. One of the main reasons people avoided this, was because of the age gap but this is not about romance at all, it is about family and how you feel or act when you lost someone you love. Of course! it has a pinch of romance but not from them and it isn't the main plot either, which I love, since it made the drama go more naturally. Secondly, I read the manga and I had high expectations on this adaptation, and let me tell you: “It exceeded them!” The manga had many things I didn’t enjoy. However, the drama made changes and that made me really happy. But, simultaneously, there were things I wanted to be included in the drama but they weren't. Nonetheless, I prefer the drama way more than the manga, sorry. The manga is still ongoing, therefore, there could be some things that can change my mind in the future; I'm not saying this drama is perfect, though. It has tons of flaws. The setting was really beautiful, camera movements and scenes were well-developed; I noticed the producers took many shots from different angles and were shown as flashbacks...Nice move! However, there were plenty of continuity errors that made me a bit upset but it's not something I cannot forgive. Another thing is how good the cliffhangers of each episode were but the producers' inability to continue them was very disappointing, to an extent they were not exciting anymore and I was just like..meh! Regardless, I haven’t felt so excited while watching a drama in a long time. This drama kept me every week waiting for the episodes and couldn’t help but rewatch and rewatch them over and over again, I’m not exaggerating.

Story: Such a heartwarming journey I enjoyed from beginning to end. On one hand, the drama exposes us how painful it could be losing someone you love and suddenly comes back, a miracle! On the other hand, how this miracle influences the characters’ current life and their future. I really loved how the conflicts were handled since they were approached from a real-life point of view. Prepare some tissues!

Acting/Cast: I have plenty of things to say here. Since I’m a huge fan of Ishida Yuriko, I couldn’t skip this one. However, I didn’t stay because of her but Maida Nono and Morita Misato. The veteran actors were not disappointing at all but I expected more from them, some scenes were not developed correctly, it felt a bit overacted and unnatural (I exclude Yoshida Yoh, she was on point). On the contrary, we have Nono-chan whom portrayed her character perfectly, her gestures and reactions were indeed from a middle-aged woman; sometimes I forgot she’s actually a kid. Then, we have Morita Misato whose character was my favourite by far. I grew fond of her so deeply that I was more excited about her than the main plot. Her kindness, voice, mannerism, and smile kept me obsessed with her, I mean.. a healthy obsession, you know. Those two left the veteran actors behind but by a lot! And yes! I supported Moriya with all my heart!

Music: Absolutely fresh and original. The main song suited the scenes so well (That bike scene from Ep1: MAJESTIC!). The soundtrack is so unique, I really appreciated the use of wind instruments, loved it!

Rewatch value: I already did, every single week. But I would definitely do it again.

Final verdict: My cup of tea! So happy I watched this while it was airing. The content provided by the drama Instagram account was delightful. I had never seen such chemistry among all the cast! They all look like a real family. The only reason I don't give this drama a 10, is because of the ending, I wanted a more specific one. It ended how I expected it but I wanted a bit more, just a bit more but yeah! I can't get everything I desire.

Cheers

How can I start reviewing this drama? The main reason I am here was because of Kim Dong Wook and Kim Kyung Nam, my two princes so, this journey was worth it. Their characters are beyond funny and heart-touching. Seriously, loved them so much!
I didn't know that labor inspectors exist, yep, I'm quite dumb. They seem to have power and if you are not a good person then It can be dangerous. Fortunately, our male lead was righteous but, this quality was his tomb. All his problems were because of it even his relationship with his wife. I definitely love every single character of this show.
As for the OST..It's the most amazing I have ever listened to. Every song was according to the scenes. I remember myself waiting for their release so bad. Anyway, what I enjoyed the most about this show is the strong bond between our male lead and his students, in addition to that, I must say I loved how his wife was becoming close to him as time went by and how they've got those tiny winnings at the end of the episodes.
Please, give it a try. Pretty sure You're going to enjoy it as much as I did.
I will miss my oppas.
Cheers!

An enjoyable and heart-touching journey

If you enjoy espionage plots, this is the one for you. A Korean drama based on true events but with a bunch of sci-fi scenes in order to make you enjoy the show a little more. A spy and action-centered story, which took me a time to finish not because it was boring but rather due to the fact that I was extremely busy during the time it aired. The main characters are portrayed by my beloved Lee Yo Won, the reason why I watched it, and the handsome Yoo Ji Tae. I was so hyped when I first saw the teaser, I missed my eonnie so much.

Our female lead, Young Jin, a doctor who was born in Korea but raised by a Japanese man will fight in order to achieve Korea’s independence alongside Won Bong, the man who leads a small group of fighters called Heroic Corps. These two walked a dangerous path together, lost friends and family members just because of their love for their country.
What makes this an amazing drama are the cinematography and the setting. I keep wondering how they managed to recreate the 1919 Korea. The costumes and the vintage cars were on point. I could really feel I was there. The other thing I liked was the combination of many genres. The drama is more inclined towards action but that slight romance between the leads, the melodrama and of course those medical scenes were so pleasant to watch. But there is one thing I enjoy the most, the friendship among our characters. I loved how they protected and took care of each other. Honestly, I cried a lot during the last scenes.

Different dreams is definitely a must-watch drama, especially if you are interested in Korean history. It is highly entertaining so I recommend it a lot. Please, give it a try, you will not be disappointed.
By the way, Lee Yo Won was gorgeous in every single scene she appeared on. I love her so much.
Cheers,
Mabe.

M.A.S.T.E.R.P.I.E.C.E

Honestly, I cannot put into words how perfect this drama was. I’m huge fan of horror movies so of course this drama wasn’t scary for me at all. For those people who doesn’t watch this drama because of that…please! Give it a change!
I was going to watch this drama because of Kim Jae Wook and OCN..yeah! It’s the best channel around there. After watching Voice OCN never disappoints. BUT…When I saw the official poster I noticed the female lead and I was like WHAT? Who is she? YEAH! That woman is GORGEOUS! Coming back to my senses…For me, the drama wasn’t slow at all. I enjoyed every single episode. When I was on episode 4 I said to myself that this drama will become a masterpiece. I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen. This drama was perfection since the beginning. Can you guys believe that?

Story: The plot is amazing. I couldn’t believe how a priest, a psychic and a detective could become a team to defeat a demon. But the writer showed me how perfect the idea was! Demons, priests, detectives, shamans and possessed people were a great combination. The antagonist of this show is a dreadful and strong demon that possesses people and controls weaker spirits. So, there were scenes brilliantly done even though we don’t know how real they were and we will never know. Exorcism is a topic too far from us. But besides that, those scenes were creepy and well-acted.
Anyway, what I enjoyed the most about this drama was the friendship between our leads. I just I just I just….loved it!! Even though this a horror drama, I didn’t feel it like that. Most of the times I couldn’t stop laughing, there were many funny moments that I enjoyed very much…I think it was because I paid attention to every single detail in the episodes. Hwa, Mateo and Gil, those three were really stubborn and similar. Watching them interact with each other was very pleasant to watch. It was hard for Gil to accept those possessions believes at the beginning, yes she is the detective…her reactions at first were hilarious. But at the end she was into this kind of things haha I still remember how she couldn’t explain those situations to her sunbae. Something that I don’t understand yet is why Gil didn’t have a gun I mean she’s a cop right?
On the other hand, there were sad moments “many” that you could say pain was their destiny, especially for Hwa. He’s the one that suffered the most. But this trio was there to console each other.

Acting/Cast: Absolutely divine!! Every single actor was remarkable on their roles! This is the very first time in my life watching k-dramas that I could see a great chemistry between THREE LEADS! As friends, they were perfect for each other. They’ve grown fond and took care of each other even though the circumstances they were going through. The actors portrayed their characters brilliantly. I could feel their pain which made me loving them more through the episodes. Regarding the supporting actors, they were amazing. Acting as a possessed person should be really hard so my feelings of respect and admiration for all the actors and actresses of this drama. THEY WERE TERRIFIC!

Music: It suited perfectly! I remember when we were on the first five episodes, the viewers, included me, wanted THAT SONG to be released. Sorrow in the dark in my heart, in my soul to see. Ahh…It was perfect!

Rewatch value: It is definitely a yes yes!! I would love to watch this drama again but in SUPER HIGH QUALITY! Perhaps in a couple of years, when I don’t remember anything. (Note: If you have a link to download it. I’m all ears!)

Final verdict: This is definitely my type of drama. No romance but friendship, truly friendship. Of course, this drama is not for everyone but it is a must watch drama. One of the best around there. Please! Watch it! You won’t regret it!

Cheers
Mabe

An interesting drama you should give a try!

First of all, this drama does not deserve a low rating. It’s not a romantic drama nor an action one but it is one that talks about daily life and its struggle which make me love it even more. When I first heard of this, I was extremely excited due to the fact that I was able to enjoy Lee Yo Won twice this year with Different dreams and The Running mates so, I was so ready for this drama to be aired. But I have to be honest, judging from the previews, I really thought this drama will be a satire, guess I was wrong. It is more a slow-paced drama that allows you to understand several troubles the human being is under such as: child abuse, dismissal, dysfunctional families, discrimination and murder.

Story: The plot could be not that surprising but once you are into the drama you get to enjoy it very much. Our female lead is an investigator for the Human rights Commision. That being said, she is not allowed to do more than that, just investigate if the human rights were violated or not. Due to this, our team gets frustrated most of the times, in particular, our male lead who used to be a prosecutor but he was dismissed as a result of his bad behaviour. These two get together alongside other three in order to help the people whose human rights were not taken into account.
On one hand, this plot is good enough to catch your attention and I must say that is worth it. It is not a masterpiece, moreover, I do think it had many flaws in the script execution but it is not something we cannot forgive, clichés for instance. On the other hand, I enjoyed every single episode, even though the cases were not that interesting but I somehow managed myself to see those little details our characters gave us about their personalities. In addition, there were too many things I would have liked to watch more, for example, on the episode where our characters dressed like bank robbers. You cannot imagine my reaction when I first saw that episode’s previews and later when I watched the episode, I was absolutely devastated finding out it was just for an example of a situation I don’t remember right now what it was. Likewise, the one when they were wearing the military uniform. But again, they are not things we cannot forgive.

Acting/cast: As you already know, I am here just because of my beloved Yo Won eonnie and I am absolutely satisfied. Her voice and face expressions are more than enough to me. Her character is mysterious hence, not a talkative person and that is something I really liked. Since the first episode, the writer hinted us she carried an emotional struggle and that was one of the main reasons I stayed on tune every week. I would have liked to watch more of this rather than the situational cases every two episodes. Also, we did not have the opportunity to see more of our male lead which made me feel really disappointed. On the other hand, I felt like the other characters were completely useless. Practically, they did not add anything to the plot. Additionally, I enjoyed the scenes where our leads were together and supported each other even just for tiny things in their lives. That scene where they went together for a meal was so precious to me.

Music/OST: To be honest, it is rare that we find this type of music in a Korean drama so, my feelings of respect, I absolutely loved it! Furthermore, the original soundtrack is more than pleasant to listen to. I even have the songs on my mobile.

Rewatch value: I will definitely come back to watch some scenes I enjoyed. Perhaps, in a couple of years when I forget everything about the plot.

Final verdict: I really like OCN dramas and this one has the things I usually like to watch. Not romantic but daily life situations I can relate to, easily. If you enjoy slice of life dramas, this is the one for you, because it adds a bit of action, comedy and thriller. Please, give it a chance, it is not a boring drama. If you see carefully, you will find great things in it.

Cheers,
Mabe

Lovely

A drama I avoided because of the comments but my love for Mitsushima Hikari was bigger and I decided to give it a chance, I don’t regret it. It is true that it has plenty of unnecessary dramas and that It could’ve been way better but it was a lovely watch. It might be because I am a teacher and I could relate to the situations the characters experienced with the students and the school superiors; they were times I had to debate with myself if I would do that or not as a teacher, it was fun. As much as I enjoyed the female lead, the one that caught my attention was the female principal, she had better character development than the others by showing why she behaved the way she did and the change of her actions, she grew on me. The relationship between the teacher and students was what I liked the most, how they cared for each other and worked together to achieve their goal.
Here enjoying Back to normal by Yuki Hayashi cause the OST is really good.

We're IsoKuma

What is love? This is the main question that is unconsciously brought up in every episode. However, the screenwriter will not give a straight answer, that is for us to find out. The series shows the friendship between our two female leads whose chemistry was already palpable in 37.5°C no Namida ( a drama I highly recommend). The lives of these two women are again intertwined but this time, they get to build a strong bond experiencing diverse circumstances in their jobs and lives that lead to changes in their personal feelings, thoughts, and the way they live and how they see love. It is a story that not only involves friendship but also financial problems, romance, marriage, single life, and motherhood. Nevertheless, as it entails a variety of topics, they are moderately shown but that is not a negative point, on the contrary, the fact that the story revolves around many facets of life without being dragged on, is pretty much appreciated. In addition, I applaud the script for how they portrayed the friendship with the metaphor of IsoKuma, marvelous.
Despite the wonderful words I might articulate regarding the series, there are some things that I couldn't be fond of or rather feel warmly towards a particular character, I just didn't find a spark in the lead character's boyfriend nor chemistry with the others hence not a ten, unfortunately.
Overall, this might not be impressive at first sight but in my judgment, it is a simple but captivating story that I will not forget in a long time, Its two main characters will remain in my memory and heart. I hope we get to see those two working together again.

Entertaining

An enjoyable drama and a bit underrated. The characters are normal, nothing big nor small, they just live their lives and make their own decisions which it’s perfect for slice-of-life drama lovers. The relationship among the characters is what I enjoyed the most, there is chemistry and it was sweet to see the development of the two couples. However, I exclude the second male lead, this is the first time I highly dislike this type of character, he was intrusive, a liar, and a bad friend. Fortunately, this wasn’t a big deal for me to drop the drama cause the main leads usually made decent decisions, I liked them. Additionally, there is not much to expect from this drama a part of how life goes for our characters but it is quite entertaining, there is no time for you to get bored, at least for me.

How to deal with cancer

This is exactly what this drama portrays through our characters: how to cope with the complications this terrible disease causes, not only to the patient but to their family and even the doctors. Additionally, this drama is quite uncommon for its genre, it’s standard-issue for the medical dramas to have exciting cases in which doctors demonstrate how smart and skillful they are and save lives no matter the severity of the cases. This drama is the opposite, it portrays the normal life of doctors that treat patients with cancer and how it affects everybody involved. Of course, there are situations that are specifically about the main characters but they are attention-grabbing as well. I particularly enjoyed the friendship the main characters shared throughout the series and how much they cared for their patients. Plus, it demonstrates how patients deal with the illness and become stronger to live thoroughly which it was heartwarming to see. I highly recommend this to the ones that enjoy simple and slow-paced dramas involving friendship and sismance.

Since nobody has written a review for this movie, here I go.
First of all, this film does not deserve 6,9 rating. I mean it should be at least 7,5 or in my case a 8,5/10.
The reason behind watching this film was Soo Ae and thank God there was a website where It was available...you know the film is quite old.
The male leads were enjoyable and funny..that karaoke scene was hilarious!! Loved how the director showed us the bond between those two characters. I have to admit that the male lead's best friend was a little bit disgusting trying to find a wife, in a way I disliked him as a man, not as a friend.
Since I came to see Soo Ae I must say I'm satisfied, her character had a deep reason to behave the way she did. The romance in this film is minor but enjoyable. No! What am I talking about? I loved it! I absolutely loved how they fell for each other, no kisses but words are beyond everything.
Well, there were many funny scenes I enjoyed and laughed so hard. The ending..uff this film is heart touching..I wish It had been longer.
Cheers.
