and then the way Mina killed was a bit exaggerated, or at least the girl who got killed at the toilet. I mean, why bother breaking her leg?
Well I personally never really liked dolls. I prefer fluffy stuffed animals, which I can hug all the time. Actually I've been a huge fan of them ever since I was a tiny little girl. But I really never never liked dolls because they were hard and uncomfortable to hug. I would prefer to hug a human, than a doll.
But still I think that, that doll called Mina was really pitiful. She loved her Master 'till the very very end but her stupid Master was scared of her.
And then, if she was really a sculptor, then how come she didn't care at all about her dolls?
Anyways this movie is nothing for people who dislike horror movies or who have weak nerves, because if you have problems to keep being aware that this is only a movie while watching it, you might end up dreaming of this at night.
Last but not least I want to say that this movie should be restricted for people older than 16 years.

I think if somebody diffrent had acted as Utamaro I might not have liked him this much. I think that the actor creates the character. So I am actually very gratful to Kaminaga-san that he choosed to be the actor of that character.

BUT today (3rd time trying) I decided that I would endure it 'till the end just for my dear Sakaguchi Tak. And I'm glad I did, because after a while the story gets really interesting and thrilling.
I ended up watching the whole movie without having to force myself 'till the end.
During the movie I forgot after a while my surrounding and was "living" the movie. As if this was happening around me. The actors were acting very very convincingly. The movie even moved me to tears.
Worth watching. But after knowing the story it's boring to watch it again because you'll already know the ending.

I love Gokusen. It was my first contact with the asian world. Before I watched this for the first time I didn't care about the asian world. This drama changed my life and is basically the reason why I'm studying translation right now. Although Gokusen 1 is my favourite of all of them I still have 1 thing I don't like about it. This might be a little spoiler though so if you don't want to know stop reading now......
...
...Still here? Ok but don't say I didn't warn you...
The thing is Sawada leaves Japan never to be seen again but during the whole Gokusen 1 it is OBVIOUS that Sawada and Yankumi are in love! So why the hell did he NEVER return? If you read the manga or watched the anime you'll know that they are supposed to get together... So why?? I wish the one who had this stupid idea to never let Sawada return could explain me the reason for it... It has been so many years since I watched this the first time and I still don't get it... Poor Yankumi stays single forever... All of her students come back to meet her one more time... except for Sawada... Why? Because an idiot made him say that he wants to be some kind of profession where you have to leave your home country... The story would have been absolutely doable without making the character leave Japan and not date Yankumi like in the make and anime... And the grandfather? And his buisness? All gone! If Sawada would return he would have taken that business over!
Leaving that aside the actors did a great job and the music was nice too! Thanks for changing my life!

A guy who's dad has some trouble with what appears to be loansharks. The guy gets fetched by the loan sharks but tries to escape. Then he meets a beautiful girl, falls in love with her and wants to take her from the place where she grew up happily. The loan sharks find him and he tells her to stay away from him but she keeps following..
Review:
I don't have much to say about this movie but there are some thing I want to say...
First: the girl is really beautiful. (I'm bad with names so I don't remember her name.)
Secondly the story lacks in some parts: why wasn't she taught how to speak if the priest wanted to make her look normal? And this is one thing I never get in movies... WHY did the ambulance never appeared? WHY did he not try to save her? I wish I could give to that guy a good beating: NEVER turn your back to your ennemies! And why the hell did he take her away from where she was living in first place? She was happy there! It's his fault that the story had to end this way! I hope they won't make a second movie... She story was bad as she is... No need to make it even worse or weirder...
