Remarkable drama
I can honestly say this is one of the most powerful, well written poignant dramas i have ever watched on Asian or british websites. I binge watched the complete series and it was the quickest 4 hours of my life.the young actors were just jaw-droppingly good, the music was perfection and for the first time ever watching an Asian drama i am going to read the webtoon this drama was based upon.I cannot praise this piece of work highly enough, the storyline fast fast paced, my attention didn’t waver for a single moment, i am just awestruck at the quality of the acting, the writing, the music, i just hope everyone “gets it” the way i did.
You have a rare treat in store my fellow viewers

Perfectly Imperfect……..
Honestly could just put both of these seasons on a loop and drool over these two characters! They are both achingly beautiful to look at and combined with their quirky?twisted?damaged? (Very hard to define….) personalities you just see something different in both of them every time you watch them.Wonderfully written, produced and acted , even when its sad i still have a little smile in me somewhere, its the genre that Japanese do so much better than any other country, the sensitivity and depth of characters they create just get to and hits your soul.
beautiful in every way.
Enjoy…..again and again …………..

LOVE LOVE LOVED THIS SHOW!!!!!
If only all shows were as good as this i would die happy;just a joy to watch, acting from everyone was flawless, each character was written perfectly, loved all the little plots and sub plots that went on and ohhhh, the romance between the granddaughter and her driver was just a delight. For me the sign of a good drama is how quickly the time flies in each episode and with this show each episode seemed to be over in minutes. All in all just a well written, well produced, well acted ( well dressed too!) thoroughly enjoyable drama, im now going to research the writer, director and producer and have a look at what else they’ve been involved in.
Enjoy!

The chemistry!
This is a little gem than stands out amongst so many badly written and acted BL productions. The quality of the production and writing is superb , but more then anything is the acting and the interaction of the two main characters-simply beautiful. The chemistry between Soo Woo Hyundai and Kim Kang Min is mesmerising and believable, they are a joy to watch. Lots of reviews picking holes in the relationship but i think people often overthink things, i just accept and admire it as a wonderful thing to watch. And watch again…….Was this review helpful to you?
Exquisitely written slice of life
It’s been a long long time since i watched a series that moved me so much as this.the writing, the characters with all their oh so human flaws, the brilliance of the actors, the cinematography - everything was just mesmerising. There’s no razzle dazzle , simply a beautifully written and acted piece of work. The emotion this series brought out of me left me feeling drained at the end of every episode, ive Just finished the last one and the only way i can think filling the space each weekend is to watch it all again and thats precisely what i plan to do………Was this review helpful to you?
Just……
This is the first time ever that i have written a review on an unfinished as of yet drama but I am so moved by Lee Do Hyu‘s performance in this show that i felt i had to comment now. My God, his ability to portray such heart wrenching emotions with just a look is mind boggling. I am left drained at the end of every episode by what ive just watched, go from laugh out loud to crying my eyes out each time its a really remarkable performance from him.I love the quirkiness of the other characters especially the face mask queen Park Bo Kyung-she’s hilarious. Generally speaking its a really well made, well acted and well produced gem of a show, don’t know what your equivalent of the Oscar’s is in Korea but Lee Do Hyu is a prime candidate for best actor.I will update this review upon the drama’s completion

Park Bo Gum !!!!!!!!
This was a beautiful, emotional ,wonderful peach of a drama to watch. Park Bo Gum Was just flawless, his smile, his tears, his laughs were just a joy to watch, he really is an outstanding talented actor (check out Hello Monster). All of the actors were just so skilled, and for the most part so good looking I binge watched the complete drama over a weekend and it was such an easy watch, not a fast forward in sight.
Special mention for the music also, it was blissful and so wonderfully attuned to what was going on in the scenes.
Don’t watch a great deal of historical dramas as tbh I think they can drag a bit but not this one, its really a quick watch
Enjoy!!

Please watch!!!
Doh Kyung Soo Just blew me away in this film; when I learned that he actually performed this masterclass in tap dancing himself I was awestruck.I have watched him perform such a variety of roles including his latest venture bad prosecutor I can imagine him being in his sixties and still acting, becoming a legendary figure.Apologies for not introducing with my review of the film but I have literally just finished watching it and I am still reeling from his performance,
Swing Kids at times is bizarre, poignant, brutal and joyous.I felt emotionally drained when it finished. It’s a very unusual portrayal of the dehumanization that war produces in mankind and I found it profoundly moving
Hats off to every member of the cast, they were exceptional and swing kids is a film that will stay with me for a long time…….

Bloody Brilliant!!!!!!
I loved this series. So often dramas like this leave me with lots of little annoying things that were left unexplained or plot lines that don’t play out realistically. It was a convoluted story but was played out flawlessly with brilliant acting from everyone especially FL she was outstanding. I liked the fact that all the supporting characters were important to the story, no one felt like a filler and unusually for me i have an interest in seeing how all the characters could progress. This show is crying out for a season 2, so many possibilities re plot and although i loved the no nonsense approach to any romances there is sooo much scope for almost every character.all in all a really good watchP.s. very surprised at some of the reviews on here and also by the low number of them but I suppose all viewing is subjective ……….

Outstanding………
What a beautiful, heartbreaking depiction of what it is to be a young gay boy in Japan, and going by the other reviews from mainly gay men it seems to represent current Japanese society’s attitude to homosexuality. The acting from everyone was superb, it was an unusual in-depth examination of the struggle that some gay people go through and it was so sensitively portrayed. I found Korean drama by accident on Netflix during covid and through this discovered Japanese drama, a whole different ballgame! The quirkiness of the storylines, the oh so beautiful Japanese men (not only gay dramas i promise!).I love the depth of the storylines in Japanese drama and Fujoshi, Ukkari Gei ni Kokuru was no exception, it was just beautiful and I will definitely be watching it again; if you haven’t seen it yet I envy you, you have a lovely four hours of your life ahead of you…………Was this review helpful to you?
Exquisite!
Where to begin….this drama is the most beautiful piece of work I have watched for a long time; the female lead - oh my lord can this woman act!!i have no personal knowledge of autism but going from the reviewers who do she appears to have captured the nuances of this condition perfectly .the storylines are quirky, thoughtful and I rarely finished an episode without a tear. It had my heart soaring with joy, breaking with sadness, just a perfectly written and performed drama.so happy to see 2024 for season 2 announced. Only sadness is its finished. Feel the same way I did when I watched the last episode of my liberation notes. No one writes emotion like Korean scriptwriters but it does rather spoil you, I find my Native British dramas almost one dimensional now, thank god there is so much still to see as I only discovered the treasure of Kdrama during covid. Was this review helpful to you?
Oh for a Mr.Kang in my life…..
This short and snappy little series was perfection.all the leads were brilliant actors (definitely shouldn’t be saying this but the ML bodies………oof!). So refreshing to have such open and frank discussions on sex, especially from S.Korea -not their regular take at all, but it was so well done, never sleazy in any way and i learned a few things I didn’t know. The sex scenes -and there were plenty - were all in relation to the storyline and never came across as being there just for the sake of it. As i said in the headline special mention must be given to Mr.Kang , Park Sun Ho played his role sublimely, dont think i’ll ever forget the car lovemaking scene, it bordered on art.All in all this series brought a beaming smile with every episode , not a thing that i experience often.everyone over 18 should watch this, its entertaining, its informative, its beautiful sex scenes are thrilling .hoping there will be a second season, will definitely be re watching the first season, no prizes for guessing why!enjoy! Was this review helpful to you?
