Dropped Halfway In
Dropped halfway in, I think another overrated show on the list.I got a bit tired watching a protagonist that 24/7 looks like he wants to cry. I kid you not, watch it yourself, it always looks like he's about to cry. Couldn't care much more for his other buddies. The dialogues and many of the action sequences lack the usual urgent, thriller feel. I also watched this based on episode 1 which showed a calculating, butt kicking main character. However, after the first episode, his first big conflict was approached in such a goofy, foolish and naive manner that made me wonder "what happen to that guy we saw in the first episode?" After that, I just lost my drive to watch. I honestly thought I was going to see some nice, calculating, bad guy butt kicking but end up being bored and disappointed. And again, watching a main character that keeps walking around like he's about to cry or he's high on some kinda drugs all the time, no thanks.

Weak Performance. Weak Anti Fan
You get the biggest emotion when opposites end up pushing each other away the hardest and this show just starts out way too weak. The acting lacked conviction and powerful emotions. It missed out on opportunities to be witty and failed to surprise my low expectation. It's suppose to be a fun, even crazy, emotion filled drama but ends up mild, soggy, predictable, hitting all the usual k drama romance cliche along the way in a rather uninspiring manner. I'm on episode 8 and I'm starting to skip scenes. I'm considering dropping yet another one of these TV dramas. So far I've watched 3-4 TV dramas and have dropped all of them around halfway. Very disappointed with the kind of lackluster scenes that are coming out now. Give me some energy and an exciting, refreshing story and acting, not this weak stuff that's too afraid to be more. We need shows that reach for the stars, not ones that are just made to fulfill a quota like "hey, we need to make five love dramas this year, here's one more". This is BORING, be better! One of the biggest issue with these TV dramas is that all of them seem to force themselves to stretch what they can do. Like the show only actually has 6 episodes worth of content but they stretch it to 16-20 episodes, that's why it comes out thin and weak. Tight editing, action pack, juicy scenes, cliff hanging that makes me want to immediately watch the next. Not stuff that makes me keep wondering why I keep bothering to watch, like am I THAT bored, always questioning myself.Was this review helpful to you?
Second time attempting to watch, Dropped Halfway In
The first time I wasn't in the mood, the second time I was getting some laughs in and enjoying it a bit. I found the FL to be goofy and charmingly funny with the ML a nice support.However, my problem is, the show doesn't go anywhere fast enough, it wears itself out and the FL that keeps messing up on her romances, it's funny at first, but you eventually start to agree that indeed, she suits the name she gave herself, Ahomiya, which is a play in her name, aho means dumb.
Too slow paced with little outcome that wears on your patience.
Quite sad because I honestly wanted to enjoy it this time around, but started zoning out too often and gave up. I really thought I would be able to watch it all the way through too.

Gotta watch out for people that give out easy 9s-10s for mediocre shows like these
Watched this because I like the FL in "She Was Pretty". That one was exciting. Dragged some bit but overall fun and energetic.This show, someone said the first two episodes were not so good and to watch at least 4. Got to 5 because I was desperately hoping this would pick up. Skimmed through 6 and now I'm dropping this.
A huge copy paste romance, interesting story pitch but not very good execution. I totally don't get the attraction between her and the ML computer guy too and for a guy that claims an INSANE 200 IQ which is extremely rare in the world, handful of people, he stumbles on words and acts like a regular person. See him try his best memorizing basic lines. Anyhow, extremely boring and generic. Pretty disappointed. Having a harder and harder time trusting you guys with rating stuff....

Another show rated highly because the actors are pretty?
I watched about 5 episodes and dropped it.It's a decent show with decent acting, but I found it borderline unbearable for the following reasons:
1. It's PAINFULLY slow and uneventful. If you're looking for a fun, nice pacing, eventful show that will stir your emotions to really get hooked on, to me, this definitely isn't it. I can definitely see this show being compressed into a 10-15 episode show.
2. The demeanor, especially the main girl, is almost annoyingly reserved, quiet and shy. Basically, the poster girl that they want to portray in China. This is their ideal girlfriend / wife material, very different IMO from how it actually is.
3. I follow the news of how China actually is now, just makes it harder to stomach. They basically want to pretend to the rest of the world that their lives are filled with beautiful houses, an extremely peaceful and secure existence, with beautiful people. It's made to be visually pleasing for the rest of the world to view, but there's not much going on. A big facade to the chaos and mayhem that's actually over there, especially for regular people. If you watch the news, it's anything but that. I know a lot of these Asian dramas kinda do the same, but I think it's ESPECIALLY true due to how horribly they're actually treated over there now and in the last few years.

Dropped after 3 episodes
Another title that some of you guys rated 10 with glowing reviews.Stop giving easy 10s. I would watch out for people that throw around 9s and 10s so easily, it means ANYTHING will satisfy them. 9-10s are legendary shows that are considered BRILLIANTLY made. This is DEFINITELY, FAR FAR FAR from that.
First off, I've never seen a 'doctor' that behaved so inappropriate and out of character.
I just feel like a lot of the cast don't fit their part, the acting just doesn't work for me or aggravates me and it's a bit too slow for my taste. It's boring. Not a bad show, just not a great one and this is to help balance the ridiculous 10s that some people are handing out. At least this site isn't obviously packed full of paid reviewer like another site that starts with a V. I think some people give high scores just because the show stars actors that they find good looking.....

EXTREMELY disappointed
Made an account just to make this review. I feel A LOT of dramas here and ESPECIALLY on the V site are way overrated by 2 up to 3.0 points. Like what you see that is rated 8, I would realistically bring it down to 6. I think people rate high because they see beautiful actors and get star struck and fans jumping up and down.Anyhow, waited many years for the uncensored 82 episode Taiwan version to have passable subs up and finally it was. I had very high expectations: Wanted Great story, great plots, a lot of very clever scheming, a very smart FL as the whole story revolves around her brilliance, some great romance and a lot of oogling over how beautiful, smart and awesome the FL is with great victories. I wanted to see her become the Empress and just own it.
I can say is all of that fell extremely flat. The only thing I like thus far is the FL does fulfill the role in terms of beauty and nice dresses. The story, the characters, the romance, the acting, the scheming or lack of it, absolutely horrible. The story has been dull and boring. I've watched it and thought to myself "wow, whoever wrote all this, this is one of the WORST Kingdom / harem show I've watched thus far", especially for all the hype it got. The first Emperor had almost no presence and to have him be around for such a significant part of the show is a horrible idea. I've watched stuff like The Story of Yanxi Palace or Dong Yi (which drag in some areas and isn't perfect) but it is LEAGUES better than this. I would trade up beautiful costumes for a good story any days. It's nice to have a very beautiful FL, but to fail this badly is totally not worth it. I'm flabbergasted as to why this show has such high ratings and fan base.
