Royce is consistently raw and faultless in his acting, but Kyo is getting better here. And I can see chemistry na. The story unfolds at a steady pace but never lacks the formula of an interesting watch. It was never boring. That 21 minutes felt like 5 lang kasi sa fluid flow ng story, thanks to the writer. And that last scene, it wasn’t really just a kilig moment (actually it’s not one to me), rather a mugto moment for me. Kasi they both have these heavy burdens and only each other to turn to. Best part is that the getting to know each other phase for them is never forced. It’s a raw need and longing to be with someone who can relate, who can understand. 5 ⭐️ s!
This episode started with partially resolving the cliffhanger left by the previous episode. I love how plotwise it’s really seamless and sensible that Gav consistently shows us how we should believe that his feelings for Cai is genuine. He’s a knight in shining armor here by saving Cai from being forcedly put in a spot by Terrence. This settled, the Title of the episode puts us in a painful ride of Cai’s underlying personal issues which was hurled to him (and us viewers) faster than a slap on a face. Such a maelstrom of emotions, this episode has brought. From happy and hopeful to grief and sorrow. I rewatched this episode multiple times and it had the same effect, tearful ending. I watched others’ reaction videos who took in the episode the same weight of shock and tearful sorrow.Perfect acting from all the cast members. Never a moment when I felt anything was forced. Elijah Canlas shines here, and he deserves an acting award for his performance. Kokoy de Santos is consistently great in his performance as Gav while reinforcing and supporting Cai whom Gav has shown us that he clearly and genuinely loves despite the circumstances. Adrianna So’s Pearl is such a great buffer in the bunch. She deserves the offshoot GL Series in the works for her. The supporting characters Leila and London (Cai’s mom and elder brother) were perfectly portrayed and they deserve accolades and cheers. Plot is seamless even if it still doesn’t give us full revelations about what what Cai went through which caused his current pain. It’s so hard to guess what happens next. Making the days longer before episode 8.Perfect episode! But please, stop the hurting! We all had enough crying.
I like the fact that the story started us with bad news immediately, but slowly worked its way in giving us clues as to building up to something happy for the main characters, making us viewers invested in the series just at the first episode. This series has a big potential because it raises the point if there is hope for the main characters to get back to where they once were. And I’m rooting for them to finally get back together and this time for good.
