Disappointment
What a disappointment! The initial subject was interesting, but like many Kdramas, new plots come to confuse the initial story. Towards the end we find ourselves with a completely different subject. We go from a real and important social subject to a family drama. The two were reconcilable, but it required a greater rigor in the writing of the script. The actors are good, except for Jung Son Bin, who I don't find comfortable in his role.
I wanted to see this series because I love Kim Hyun Joo. She is excellent in her role. And it is because of her acting that I watched all the episodes.

Deception
The two main actors are excellent. Kang So-ra is wonderful but the story is not exciting. There are few twists and turns and the theme lacks depth. Many of the scenes are unnecessary or poorly exploited. The personal situations of the other characters do not give Kang So-ra and Jang Seung-jo original and subtle arguments. The last scene confirmed what I feared: an unsurprising and banal ending. I felt like saying "all for this!". The series did not deserve 12 episodes. I think the writers could have made a shorter series. Was this review helpful to you?
Disappointing drama
Disappointing drama.Everything is present to make a beautiful love story. We are quickly attached to the story and the characters. But we can guess a little too easily what will happen next, despite a few twists that reinforce the plot. The sentimental hesitations are not convincing. One gets the impression that the writers have done little research on the love triangle when two brothers are in love with the same woman. In this story, the choice for Ye Ji seems obvious after a few episodes, but the writers have reduced the poor heroine to a pretty doll who spends her time hesitating, crying and running from the obvious.
The weight of Korean taboos and social codes weigh on the lives of the characters and the life choices they might make. Everyone seems to carry too much guilt to be believable. The screenwriters lacked a little freshness and audacity to make this unnecessarily maudlin story more original and modern.

This drama is endearing
For once I really enjoyed following and watching a Korean drama. The story has nothing extraordinary and the characters are quite common but the actors are good and the direction is excellent. The scriptwriter had the intelligence to build a solid plot that does not evolve into unnecessarily complex events. But it is especially thanks to the direction that this series is of great quality. I have rarely seen a story so well filmed and edited. It was a real pleasure to watch some scenes. It happened several times to me to go back to see again certain sequences. Everything is excellent: the choice of shots, the lighting, the way of filming the places and the characters, the editing, etc.We too often forget that a story, however good it may be on paper, will never make a good movie without a solid direction.
I have two criticisms to make. First of all, the music. It is sometimes too present and seems to underline too strongly the emotions of the characters. The other negative point concerns some lengths and some sequences are not really useful to the story. The last episode has a too predictable content. It was not necessary. This drama would be much better in 12 episodes.
