Now that I have completed it, it was a nice series with great chemistry between the two leads & supporting cast. Xu Kai's expressiveness priceless; he really showed the character's heartache & confusion. There were a few times where abrupt cuts or scene changes were minimally felt but not too disruptive to overall story. Maybe a little bit rushed but all doable. Wu Jia Yi as Su You Lian did an excellent job. She's graceful, connected well with her character's conflict & drive. The OST was compelling & had me immediately looking for it to listen to; especially "Never Change" by Ye Xuan Qing. I don't know the language but just like many of the songs from "The Untamed," I know what I feel when I hear it and appreciate it even more for it's beauty.

Great series to watch with lots of potential triggers for people with trauma!
LJG is so appealing as a father & loving husband... This first episode is so good!! It's one of the main reasons why I love Lee Joon Gi as an actor because he really shows the inner conflict his character is going through emotionally, especially when it counts! I saw this here and boy I'm thrilled see one of my favorite people again!! <3This was a great series! Diverse characters and story progression with a lot of emotion and potential triggers everywhere - so be careful watching if you are a trauma victim or sufferer. Knowing how training for law enforcement has progressed, the one loophole or disappointing thing is how there was complete disregard to what victims go through by some characters and the intentional jabbing at potential triggers. Girl's lucky that good man's heart & soul still loved her dearly despite the hurt & damages.

Qi Ling/Kylin is freakin adorable!
First of all, my favorite actors list just got longer because Joe Cheng (Yin Chen) and Zhang Ming En (Qi Ling) are definitely being added to the list. Also, to my surprise, the handsome and very expressive Jeffery Ji/Ji Chen (Yang Ze) is in this series!! He's such a good actor, along with actress Maggie Huang (Shen Yin ), who both were in support roles when I saw them in "Love in Lost Time" but they expressed their characters wonderfully!! I didn't want to see them go then, but I'm hoping to see more of them both in this series, performing just as beautifully.I so love the character Qi Ling; he's very much like me when I meet a person that's somewhat cold without the whining haha It's a good series to watch & it didn't have too many places where the story jumped between scenes, leaving the viewers guessing. Some of the changes in behavior of some characters from when they were younger to when they are Lords/disciples didn't quite match up - making them seem stiff & overly loner like (Example: Lotus). But all in all, beautiful series! I also appreciate & love the behind the scenes bloopers, showing how much the actors differ from their characters in attitudes, how difficult some parts were, how much fun they had together and how supportive they were of each other. Goodness at the end of ep 44, Cheng startled me! <3 <3 <3 Much love to all of them (cast & crew) & gratitude for all their hard work.

A "Must see" even without Eng Subs
Why the 9.5 for the acting/cast, as you watch it you'll see little areas where some of the actors don't connect as well with characters they are supposed to be close to, seeming too detached or the way the lines were delivered could have been better. It's really small errors here and there that don't take away much but I couldn't help but notice them. Overall, the cast and crew did a superb job in relaying the emotions, loyalty and strengths of their characters. I'm so happy that I was able to see and enjoy every minute of it. Amazing start! Oh Zuo Qingci <3 very handsome
A Yan is sweet, both he & Chang Ge are innocent & good. I love how the leading ladies seem to all be capable warriors .
The actor playing Bai Mo is by Qing Ci's side throughout and is just as passionate an actor as the main cast.
Another thing that appreciate is that the secondary couples all have chemistry, though I wish they could have some happiness at the end of their journey as well.
Again, this is a must see because of all of the above haha :)

It's worth it to see Hao Yuan & Yu Kai Ning
Spoilers... maybe a little. Production... there were abrupt changes in scenes and parts left out without explanation but they were mostly filled in by the actors' next performance... some parts just left me wondering you know, but like always I focused on the actors who caught my eye & shine. I have to say that Hao Yuan, Yu Kai Ning, and Ma Chao were the ones that just made me want to see it through. Hao Yuan as the lead was every bit of the word dashing, handsome with a bit of danger mixed in at the beginning to see him change when he realized he was in love and the wealth of emotion he showed in this role, as well as silliness aided by Yu Kai Ning's character... just priceless! He did well as the lead and I wasn't disappointed. Yu Kai Ning & Ma Chao are both in loyal support roles and they're just adorable. I look forward to see all three of these guys performances in the future! As always, wishing them the best in all their endeavors! <3Was this review helpful to you?
Who's the Baby's Daddy?!
They keep you guessing, that's for sure! XDI have to say at first I couldn't see any chemistry between the ML & FL, but an instant connection between the ML, Ye XiuDu (Liu Xue Yi) & child lead, Yu QingNan (Zhang ZiHan). That was undeniably wholesome, tolerant & loving - giving vibes of "this man is good with children." Lol As you continue watching & the story progresses, so do the relationships between the characters & boom, the chemistry I felt was missing appeared. I'm not usually stuck on the MLs, but Liu XueYi's performance was memorable; I fell in love with XiuDu and appreciated how he butted heads with Li ZiFan (Hu Wei). It was pleasing different & ZiFan, though he has love for Yu QingLuo (Wang Zi Wei), is respectful, caring & understanding with none of the hate or spite typical of some male friends who missed their chance. He even respects & supports his rival, XiuDu, while still ready to challenge him. Oh did I forget to mention that there are lots of gorgeous men (Xu HeNi as XiaoGuoZi, Li MingXuan as XiaoHong [he played RongXuan in Word of Honor!!!], Jovi Xu as Qing Heng) in the series too!? They all did pretty well. Even the Emperor's Eunuch was uptight, unbribable & a reassuring presence connected to the emperor.
This series has funny moments too but did play up the memory loss thing too much. Once you get to the end, they tastefully gave you the hope of something more with a perfect wrap up of the story. All in all, it has a 9.5 ;) Bravo everyone! Thanks to everyone, including subbers & Viki folk, involved. I loved it :)

BL with a real feel to it
Although shorter than I'd like, it conveyed the actors did a great job conveying the story & their characters well. I was very happy to see Kim Kang Min in another series not long after I completed "Tale of the Nine Tailed" and that he was one of the main leads! He and his co star Son Woo Hyun had great chemistry on the screen and made the closeness of the characters believable. Fantastic smile too! I look forward to seeing all of these actors in the future.Thank you.

A "joy" to watch
This is truly a joy to watch! The actors are amazing and so are the script/writers! I'm so glad I started watching this. The characters have layers and clear distinct traits that make them each unique. This series includes people of all types and I was pleased to see that a seemingly sadistic torturer had a kind & decent heart in regards to those close to him. The feels get you and you'll find yourself shedding tears of laughter and in sadness. If you want to see how amazing Zhang Ruo Yun's acting is, you should definitely see this. Zhao Zhen Ting plays Xie Bi'an is as interesting to me as his role as Jing Lin in another series where exudes that cool, calm and calculated aura that comes with skill. I love the mole on Zhang's nose! haha I know I'm so random, but you have to watch it! Also you get to see Xiao Zhan, Xin Zhi Lei, Tong Meng Shi , Wayne Wang, Zhao Zhen Ting and so many more fabulous actors perform!!! I look forward to season 2!!! Excellent job by all; thank y'all so much!!Was this review helpful to you?
Worth watching
Enjoyed watching Le Joon Gi in the role of estranged father. This is filled with tons of suspense, drama & action!! *goes back to watch LJG* <3 By the time I reached episode 16, I just thought this was so beautiful T__T ... Lee Chae Mi was just adorable, strong young actress & Lee Joon Gi was just pulling my heart strings anytime there was an emotionally intense scene. Was this review helpful to you?

Well worth watching! Actors giving it their all!
Wanting to see more mature actors in the limelight? This baby has it all! The first episode eases you into things by partially explaining the main character's, Hwang Shi/Si-mok's (Jo Seung Woo), condition and then the we meet a man framed and his acting is so convincing, that if I was there & it were real, I'd immediately say he's not the killer - a semi-reformed thief who made the wrong choice, but not the killer. I was moved to tears by his performance and the victim's mother too. Compelling and worth watching. I love how strong, grounded & caring Bae Doo Na's character Han Yeo Jin. She's the perfect compliment to Hwang, especially the easy & beautiful smiles she draws out of him. I appreciate how Seo Dong Won's character Kim Jeong Bon was honest enough about his feelings to share his concern & how he still cared about Yoon Se Won (played by Lee Kyu Hyung). The moment voiced this near the end of the first season, it matched my own thoughts. Yoon was easily lovable, and I feel he could've not ended up like that if someone didn't use him. I just wish he got to keep his glasses... he look really hot in them <3I also sort of expected more painful headaches because of the level of emotional turmoil around Si-Mok as well as what he directly experienced. But he's very strong, seeing him get emotional just stops everything around him, it's just that compelling. He's very human & tangible, really really love this character <3
This 1st season ended well. So well that if there wasn't a season 2, I'd be okay with it. Again well worth the watch <3

XD a fun watch
Hey, you should watch this because it's so funny and cute! The story is interesting in it's own way, but also a little mixed up. Everyone's acting was on point, just trying to get a feel for the type of person the main character is-is a little difficult because of what he pretending to be in the beginning compared to later mixed, emotional & adorably whinny/pouty prince. Though I wonder if they could have gotten a real cat to play the part... the animated is cute in it's own way. I'm looking forward to season 2 :)Was this review helpful to you?

This series has some merit but the story needs development. Probably with more episodes, the cast & writers could've developed the story more in relation to Einstein's brain, Min-Joon/Shi-on's (Lee Tae Min) ability to piece things together & Min-Joon's background. From his name & then later in the story we confirm Min-Joon is Korean so we're left to guess that's may be why he & his love Kana talk to each other in English to each other? But in the series as Shi-on, he speaks fluent Japanese... Additional episodes of on how he recovered, training, & how he & Kana met. Overall, the cast did a great job; I saw improvement for some as the story progressed! Min-Joon became more solid & Ryo (Shota Matsuda) was already pretty solid & tragic with hints of sweetness that make him a good man. I was sad to see him go & loved how selfless he was, but the ending was good. Glad I watched this Was this review helpful to you?

Though it starts off light & sweet, this story centered around Li Ming Yue and Li Qian, is worth watching especially when you get to see how the two grow to love each other. Li Qian seems a little standoffish, but the more he's around Li Ming Yue, the more we get to see of his personality. His brother, Ling Xun, is an interesting character torn between his family ties & obsession, I really appreciated his character more when he realized the cost in his actions were piling up & the worth in continuing. But Li Qian also had loyal friends, especially Si Kong Zhen. Would have loved to see more development for him & how one so young has such a deep understanding of others. This series had it's own bit of humor, cuteness and magic. Definitely worth watching. Was this review helpful to you?

Not the typical little mermaid story
To be honest, I was mainly watching because I wanted to see an earlier work with Kenny Kwan in it. The start of this series gave me the feeling of a B-movie and I think it was funny, adorable and man Kenny's eyes haha!! Such beautiful big brown eyes smh he and his costar, Zhao Li Ying/Zanilia Zhao, are really portraying the phrase "wide-eyed and innocent" look for their characters well. The series needed some work, but I stuck around for the characters I wanted to see and hope for a good ending for them. The most solid role and funny as heck was Tang Xin (Cao Xin Yue). She did a wonderful job and I simply enjoyed seeing certain characters realize how beautiful she is and her later involvement with the handsome Zhan Feng/Prince Zhao Duan (Allen Ting) was a joy to watch. The beautiful music, especially the flute solo played Zhang Zhen, fits well where it's introduced. The acting... funny, not great in some parts, but all worth it to see it improve in later episodes; rich with feeling & skill. The sound effects for some of the fight scenes... XD!!! I can't lol you have to see & hear it for yourselves, but getting through it all, some strange plot holes/twists, was worth it to see the sweet ending.
