unexpectedly fun and charming
Watched the first episode and stopped in the middle since i felt bored but then gave it another try and finding out that the story is engaging after the second episode! The premise is interesting and the plot building is good enough for me to keep watching. The chemistry between Seo Ji Hye and Yoon Kye Sang is sizzling. They managed to wrap conflicts in a fast paced story with only 12 episodes. The only downside is I skipped Howoo and Dr. Oh scenes because I just don't vibe with it whike the rest are enjoyable and acceptable. It's been a while since I saw grumpy first male lead with hardworking fierce first female lead with some kind of childhood bestfriends to enemies to lovers. Definitely recommended if you're looking for something light, sweet and fun with a little bit of mystery. Was this review helpful to you?
Unfortunately not really good
This is one of my most awaited drama. I have been following Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won for a while. The premise was very intriguing and the first few episodes were very promising. I thought this was going to be a slice of life drama, but it turns out to be makjang. The conflicts wete acceptable, felt like an old type of kdrama, but the resolution of conflict was kinda slow. As more episodes went by, some plots and scenes do not make any sense. The only thing that is saving the drama is the acting of the actors.
Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won delivered amazing performances and visuals. They both acted with their eyes. Park Sung Hoon also delivered, it's hard not to curse him when Yoon Eun Song behaves like a mad man.
Osts are good too and cinematography also helped. It's just very unfortunate that the plot was kinda outdated and annoying considering we have a group of wonderful and skilled actors right here.

Started strong but went downhill
The first ten episodes are interesting and engaging. Love how they put more backstory about a run away renowned badminton athlete which hinder her to play badminton. But after the 10 episodes, it got draggy. The conflict between Taeyang and Junyoung could be resolved in earlier episode without making it repetitive. I was excited to see Taeyang play again and her playing without feeling guilty but instead they give us more drama and less badminton scenes. The only thing that keeps me going is the chemistry between the leads and the other players. Park Juhyun really gives an amazing potrayal as a used to be famous badminton player who now feels guilty to even to play because the conflict she has with her best friend and how she's having this inner problem within herself because her mother left her and she got adopted, and she feels that her adopted parents will abandon her if she fails to play badminton. Chae Jeonghyeop also gives a neat potrayal as Park Taejun, a skilled badminton player living under the shadow of his sister success. I hate how his parents, especially his mother, treats him. He and Taeyang find comfort and love on each other. Both Juhyung and Jeonghyeop have good chemistry with each other. On the other hand, I don't really feel the chemistry between Yook Junghwan and Lee Yoomin. It's too bad that I don't feel the excitement to watch after the 10th episode, really wish it could be better. Was this review helpful to you?

It was okay then it was meh
I was looking forward to complete this since it was very big by the time it was aired. Everyone really talked about it and hyped it every day. But maybe I have a high expectation and it simply didn't meet it, it didn't even meet it halfway. The first half was okay, was bearable. The second half was worse, draggy and I only skimmed through ep 22 - 29. I also skipped the other CPs and only watched the main CP. I know the plot is cliche but the execution was really bad. At least made the cliche plot interesting but they didn't even do that. The acting was okay, but not memorable. Everything was just not right and boring. Was this review helpful to you?
Second chance romance with mature characters!
This is definitely a feel good drama. The pace is slow but the plot advances quickly. Everything about it just feels warm and calm. I love how in the earlier episodes, they pictured so much tension, so much longing, and so much unsaid words. It keeps you on your toes to see how the relationship advances. I also love how both leads act maturely resolving their problems and how this drama has no filler annoying episode. All are in the good portion. Jing Boran and Tang Soyun have so much chemistry and have done well with the acting. One thing that I will nitpick is how they put the climax on last few episodes. It's just feel anticlimatic to me. Otherwise, ll is fine. Was this review helpful to you?
Liberating from things that hold you back takes time
Watching this to get over 2521 and almost dropped it after the 4th episode but finding myself to look forward to it, so I continue. It's just so refreshing to see nothing grand happens in the first few episodes, just ordinary people living their ordinary lifes. Yet, those actions and words they speak hold so much meaning. The three siblings who wish to break free from the monotonous lifes and an alcoholic who seems to never be sober. Along the journey, they find and face their own issues to be liberated from them and live happier lifes. I am so proud of them to never give up and continue their lifes although it's not a smooth journey and lifes seem to always work not in the way they want, but they still find hope and meaning in small things. It makes you think about your life too, what are things you want to be liberates from. Storyline, actings, cinematography and chemistry are definitely top tier. As for the ending, I don't hate it, just feeling neutral. At least they are now off to the better places, still having hope and continue to be liberated. Was this review helpful to you?

It was a very fun ride!
I am new to costume chinese drama but LLTG really makes me want to dig deeper to another costume dramas. It starts really slow for me, only until the Lantern Festival episode, the pace is slowly picking up. I am also not a fan of court politics, rarely watch Sageuk, but LLTG made me pay attention to every characters and every actions they took because I know, they will connect in future episodes. The story is woven slowly and carefully involving every characters and made me curious about the revelation of them all. Zhao Lusi is perfect as Cheng Shaoshang, the abandoned daughter of two generals, not knowing any conduct and proper manner but instead having the street knowledge, quick witted, impulsive and reckless. Her characters make her involved in the root of the story. Leo Wu is also perfect as Ling Buyi, cold, calculated, harsh general. Two of them have amazing chemistry. The buildup to the second part of the drama was perfect, giving me the signal on when's the climax. Was this review helpful to you?
Don't just exist, LIVE!
Meet Yourself is a very refreshing, calming, healing drama. This drama is not plot driven drama but instead it focuses on each characters, not only the main leads. We could see the lifes of each villagers and how they handle their tribulations in their daily lifes. It also includes friendships, family, community and has a mature take on relationship between man and woman. No episode is boring or feels like a filler episode. The drama speaks about how our lives these days are just filled with work - home and the ambitions to reach something (which is fine) and so monotonous and feel fast, but sometimes we forget to appreciate time and small happiness that happen. It reminds us just no to exist, but live! The cinematography is really beautiful and refreshes my eyes and the chemistry between the leads is wondeful. All the actors work really well and make you want to be a part of the community. Heavily reminds me of Reply 1988.Was this review helpful to you?

Left me with a quote distasteful end
This show started really well, it is cute and fun, and heart fluttering. We can see the progress on how Sang Zhi took interest in Jiaxu and started to have a crush on him, even visiting him alone to Yihe and made stories up about a boy he met online, to Sang Zhi trying to forget him because of misunderstanding, and rediscover her love for Jiaxu, and also Jiaxu who always takes care of primary school Sang Zhi to college student Sang Zhi and then falling for her. Up until then, I like it so much. The corny romance and playful flirt back and forth, but also with care and thoughtfulness.Until when they dated each other, things kinda started to ick me, when Jiaxu keeps "pushing" himself towards Sang Zhi. I don't know why, it feels rushed and it wasn't the innocent love anymore. I just don't like the sight of him "throwing" himself to Sang Zhi. I am starting to get the cringe on ep 20ish, and therefore I skimmed toward the last episode.
It's just very unfortunate that the drama left me with a not so quite good note. I like both actors but I think the problem is in the writing. It's kinda tacky. Really wish I could finish it with satisfaction.

Sweetest, cutest, most heartwarming!
If you're looking for a school chinese drama with fluff, cuteness, and giggles, When I Fly Towards you will be on my top three of my recommendation. The stort itself is simple, about a bubbly chaotic girl who fell in love at first sight with a calm quiet boy and she pursues him. It does sound like a very repetitive plot, but when you finally watch it, it does not! I don't know why, but unlike in other typical dramas, Su Zai Zai is not annoying at all. In fact, I love her character, confident and strong willed. She is also very cute but not the type that can be pushed around and only waiting for the boy to save her. Zhang Lurang also surprised me. Usually, a guy like this will be rude towards the fmc, but Lurang does the opposite. He's very calm and soft spoken.Zai Zai really lifts up Lurang's confidence and seems to make his world brigther again. Every interaction between those two are just so cute, feels like I'm back in my high school years. I also like how after they got together, Lurang seems to smile, speak, and initiate more.
Too bad we don't see much of Gu Ran, Jiang Jia, and Guan Fang, after high school graduation. The video type of scenes also make it very nostalgic and personal. Overall, this is a very fun and cute watch. This will be on of the dramas that I will visit often to see my favorite scenes.

Not Until I Meet You Amidst A Snowstorm of Love
I've been looking forward to this drama since the casts were announced. I am a fan of Wu Lei's and Jin Mai's works. I struggled to get through the first few episodes. Not until I picked it up again and binge through it, I found it very enjoyable. It has a light plot, no annoying characters, no repetitive conflicts. Conflicts also are resolved in appropriate times. The billiards scenes are not too long or not too short, just enough. For me everything was just appropriate, I don't feel the urge to skip any of the scenes. And I made me giggle a lot, to see Yin Guo and Yiyang. The early awkward meetings, the pining and yearning that Yiyang did (ughhhhh I swoon), and the moment they got together, I squaled.Wu Lei did amazing acting through those eyes, the yearning look, the guilty look, and the determined look. Jinmai also did very well on potraying Yin Guo, you can see when she is shy, when she is nervous, or when she is confident in the competition.
I kinda liked the fact that on the first half, it is Yiyang who guided and helped Yin Guo, but on the second half, it is Yin Guo who helped Yiyang got back on his feet and back to the court. The symbolism using the compass necklace was cool. Fate brought them together through the snowstorm.
Overall, it has been a very cute, enjoyable watch. My eyes are also blessed because there are too many eye candies in this drama. Worth to watch and binge!
Side Notes:
I personally kinda confused where to look, when Yiyang, Jiang Yang, and Xiaodong are together in a scene ?
I am adding Lin Yiyang to my list of the best C-drama boyfriends because of those act of services are crazyyyyyy.

It was okay
I knew this drama was big when it was aired but I just got the chance and the will to watch it since I needed more of Li Xian's acting after finishing Meet Yourself. The plot itself is actually fine, the flashbacks and the foundations of the plot and the gaming competitions scenes are fine and quite interesting, but I just cannof bear to watch some scenes. The earlier episodes where FL chased ML relentlessly, trespassed and bothered him and ML always wanted to avoid conflict by not denying anything bother me a lot. It just doesn't make sense to me. FL character is too dependent, too clingy, and too giving to the ML even tho she is a Master student with IQ 140. FL also isn't bothered by the actions of ML that keeps taking her for granted (in early episodes) and huting her, she is too accepting. ML character who likes to throw tantrum without communicating it out also bothers me. He supposed to be 30, at least he can talk. I skipped some scenes. Thankfully, it gets better in the latter episodes and it was okay. Li Xian is very handsome and Yang Zi is very cute. I endured just to see them. Was this review helpful to you?
The romcom is romcoming
Tuned in to this drama blindly but ended watching it in one sitting. This drama is such a breath of fresh air for me, since it has been a long time since I watched a pure romantic comedy drama with no other subplots. Chemistry between the leads is off the chart and the story is concise and executed properly. Some scenes really made me twirling and giggling with the perfect amount of cringiness. I like how it also brought up patriarchy issue and how women are suffering because of it by showing a strong and brave female lead. Teo Yoo is so handsome! Was this review helpful to you?

One of the best!
Truly one of the best C-Drama I have ever watched. IMHO, it also surpassed some K-Dramas. The story and the plot were concised and the time loop plots were not boring because they gave us more and new informations. Each episode also explored the different story about each passangers. It gave me suspense and made me curious that I kept wanting more. The drama managed to surprise me with the twists but it also gave a clear picture of what could really happen in real life (how onlookers are afraid to report, or how some cases were not investigated completely). All the actors did their best with their roles, but the victim's parents were the best! Bai Jing Ting and Zhao Jinmai killed in this roles! Definitely an underrated gem and worth to watch! Was this review helpful to you?

Even more intense than before, but kinda doesn't make sense in the end
The first 2 episodes are dark and started really strong. The gradually they proceed to unravel and show how our protagonists trying to stop or break the systems that have been going for a very long time, like doing everything against all odds. But weirdly, after deserting and ignoring every orders and rules, Junho managed to escale unscathed and the blame all fell on Beomgu. It kinda doesn't make sense to be honest, because Junho and of course Hoyeol also Jiseop and not to mention, Giyeong, took part in the process of helping Junho and finally trying to whistle blow. In the real world, they will also be punished. That's the only problem I had with the show. In terms of the overall watching experience, it was one hell of a ride. The actings were superb, even for Choi Hyunwook who potrayed Shin Ah Wi, his expression went to cocky to traumatised real quick. It was an excellent performance by him.
