I will pretend that the last 3 episodes didn't really happen.
Up until the 53 eps, all was very well done and executed. The episodes leading up to the revelation of Buyi's true identity and his revenge was so perfectly written. The blood banquet episode was also giving me chilled. Leo Wu was very phenomenal right there. Him making the decision to abandon NiaoNiao, knowing that she was abandoned when she was a child was very cruel. That's why in my opinion, the last 3 episodes felt rushed and some were out of characters. They didn't felt organic, felt like some part were cut. I didn't really see how NiaoNiao can forgive Buyi for that. Really wished it could have a better ending execution. Also too bad that we didn't get a wedding scene. But overall, it was a one hell of viewing experience. Was this review helpful to you?

"She has left traces all over the sea of my heart."
CLJ is the first xianxia drama that I watched and followed through. Tbh, the first episodes were hard to get into along with the annoying voice of the female lead. But when things started to get escalated in ep 9, I found it very intriguing and I couldn't stop watching. The forbidden love trope wrapped in war problems and myths was so fun. I was happy and sad for the leads throughout the series. And the annoying voice of the female lead finally made sense to me because she was supposed to be that way, naive and young. The only downside was the episodes in the mortal world were kinda draggy and the resolution in the end felt kinda rushed. I liked how in the last few episodes, the story between DFQC XLH mirrored with Ronghao and his master, the only difference was, DFQC was surrounded by love and Ronghao was blinded by obsession. It was a nice touch. Wang Hedi gave an immense performance as DFQC, I could feel his pain, his hatred, his frustration and his happiness. Yu Shuxin also potrayed XLH really well and their chemistry was on fire. The Cinematography and the CGIs were very pretty and the OSTs were really good and matched the scenes. Overall, a very enjoyable ride for me.Was this review helpful to you?

what could have been
It's just a simple story that probably happened to millions of people on the planet, but it manages to make my heart aches. Wondering the what could have been or regretting things that have been done. IMHO, The way they pictured a coloured world when they were together and a colorless scene when they are not together, it's a very nice touch. The last scene with the dad's letter is also making my heart aches. Last, the scenes when they are crying and laughing in the car wondering and regretting what could have been, what should have been and the if only scenarios, it's just perfection. Good acting from both of the leads too.Was this review helpful to you?

One of the best
I thought this was just another fluffy romance C-drama but I was wrong. It is fluffy, but it gives us how a mature stable romantic relationship works between two people. Yu Tu, a genius aerospace engineer, a really passionate man in his field meets Qiao Jingjing, a beautiful superstar who needs help to play game that she endorses. The two share their struggle as a person who has a job with each other with respect and support. In their relationship, no one is above the other, both are equal. I really love the potrayal of the relationship. No drama, no annoying second leads, no playing cats and dogs. In addition, Yang Yang and Dilreba have insane chemistry with each other and both look so so beautiful, watching them on a screen together is such a feast to my eyes. Was this review helpful to you?

It makes you root for the protagonist
Such a roller coaster ride. Intrigued by the plot, watched without expectation and it blew my mind. I'm not a fan for such political drama but surprisingly I was pretty much engaged and couldn't help but to click next episode. The idea of having a resigned minister to be an interim president never crossed my mind. Ji Jinhee really done well in potraying a confused professor to a firm honest interim president. I can't help but to root for him. The staffs are also amazing and my favorite is Son Seokko as a passionate chief of secretary who wants the best for his country. That's why he pursued Park Mujin to run for the election. Shout out to Kang Hanna who potrays the NIS agent who persists until she gets to the bottom of the incident eveb after losing her fiance. Overall this drama is fun, thrilling and leave you wanting for more. Was this review helpful to you?
Maybe my expectation was too high
I was waiting for this drama since the first rumor it came out after watching Once We Got Married. I really love ther chemistry between Wang Wang Couple that's why I expected a lot in this drama. First couple of episodes started decent, but the graph soon gets lower and lower through the new episodes. At first I could watch it without fast forwarding, then I fast foward a little, then I only skimmed the episodes. I skipped the other CPs since I didn't really care about them. To be honest, QuanQuan really carried the show. The plot was cliche but I really hoped they could execute it better. The drama didn't really make the viewers get invested. It was flat and boring and I just don't feel it even though I am trying to like it. Really wish it could be better. Was this review helpful to you?
