two dramas in one
I'm quite taken aback by this drama... something is definitely wrong here. First, there are WAY too many coincidences for it to be taken seriously, though it acts like a "realistic" story. Second, we get TWO stories in one - by episode 5, we have a young cast, after that, all actors are replaced by the "mature" characters and contemporary actions. The first part is dark, the second part suddenly throws humour in; the victims unexpectedly turn into successful career people. What characters and stories should we develop a connection with?
Also, i find it hard to digest the catastrophic life accidents of our leads - abuse, beating, bullying, rape, kidnapping, imprisonment, lies, death, execution, trauma, hidden identity, secret siblings etc etc. Can we please make this more like normal everyday life?
A lot of flashbacks too... Same scenes and lines are drilled into us over and over. Are you trying to brainwash us or what?
It's more like a lakorn, and pretty long at that, with 21 (!) episodes while my patience is already being tested.
It could've been way better.
