Second season of the Japanese Drama 'Iine Hikaru Genji-kun' brings back all the beloved characters from the first season. We get to see what happened to them and a conclusion to the story, as well as an explanation of the whole fantasy element. However, the drama was too short and it tried to add in too many plot lines, from the love story, to the love triangle and the time travel trope. Every character, other than the main leads, gets a few scenes and a short screening time. They were also there only to prompt the love story forward. The latter, though cute, was also rushed and everything happened really fast, founding the emotional built to the previous season's dynamics.
Finally, the performances were pretty great from everyone in the cast and the time travel was smoothly handled.
So, overall, 6 out of 10.

Korean Drama " Sisyphus: The Myth " is an innovative drama. The story is well crafted, starting slowly, and building up to become an intriguing sci fi thriller. The future dystopian 'flashbacks' were excellent and reminded me of a game or an American movie. The family drama was also a strong factor that added some teary moments and intense scenes. However, there were some parts that the drama fail to handle. The ending was okay, mysterious and made sense to be wage. But the plot started twisting things up, making everything confusing. The drama's last episodes had actually, lost intensity and had a slower pace.
Also, the drama didn't manage the villain well, as he lost his appeal after a while and fell flat. The romance was out of the blue and didn't make sense that the couple developed that strong of a bond in such a short period. However, the chemistry was overflowing.
The acting, finally, was great by everyone in the cast. The cinematography was masterful as well.
So, overall, seven out of ten.

Korean Web Drama " Sometoon 2020 " is a short mini series that has an alternative ending. As I'm not really a fan of the two endings, I didn't find that it added much to the drama, but one might appreciate it more than me.The story of the drama has an interesting idea, especially since the main character can be easily relatable as she wasn't the typical cute girl who acts adorable and is bubbly and friendly. Rather, she acts more realistic to the situations that arose from time to time. However, as the length of the drama is short, we don't really get to know much about her. That was even more true when it came to the two love interests. Their relationship with the main lead was uneven too and it didn't help with the smooth progress of the romance.
Finally, the performances from everyone in the cast were all pretty good.
So, overall, five out of ten.

Korean Drama "Scripting Your Destiny" is a pretty good mini drama that handled the fantasy element well. Actually, the universe that the drama introduced was interesting, entertaining, with decent CGI and intriguing characters. The drama was also well written, with smooth twists and a sweet romance. The latter had a good pace, and the chemistry between the leads was a nice bonus too.The performances were, in addition, great from everyone in the cast. The back and forth was also smoothly done. However, sometimes it got a bit off hand and complicated.
So, overall, eight out of ten.

Korean Web Drama " Touch Me If You Can " is entertaining, but it doesn't handle the whole fantasy mythology well. The reason why the girl was so attracted to the boy was messy, the background story needed a more in-depth narration and the whole thing, actually, felt that only touched the surface.Still, the leading lady was delightful and she was probably the sole reason why the drama was as entertaining and interesting as it was. The male lead was good too, but he took the passenger seat when he was with her, as she outshined everyone.
Other than that, the pace was fast and smooth and the cinematography pretty nice.
So, overall, six out of ten.

Korean Drama " You make me dance " had potential, but it failed to deliver. The drama had a messy pace that was also accompanied by an irrational plot and that's not due to the whole credit creditor plot prompt. The characters acted irrationally most of the time, something that would never have happened normally. Like the boy-dancer getting mad at the guy who was trying to help him!! And not to his bullies, whom he called friends until he didn't, in a blink of an episode. He actually was, overall, an annoying character that acted like a baby most of the time.
In addition, the drama left a lot of things out, like the story with the mother. That would have been justified by the length of the drama, but, the drama included a lot of scenes that weren't really necessary (see the photoshoot sequence). The bully plotline was unconcluded as well.
Other than that, the radio theme was interesting and the couple was okay, but their love story was rushed.
So, overall, 3 out of 10.

Korean Drama " Lovestruck in the city " has interesting cinematography and a slice of life story, with a realistic spin on the love stories. The drama presents the story through the form of a documentary, where the characters are being interviewed about their love lives and their views on love. This format was original and interesting, but it did get tiring after a while. Fortunately, they lessen up the interview time after the first half.
The highlight of the drama is also the love stories that it presented, even though the main one got most of the screening time. It was cleverly presented, with smooth twists that kept the mystery of what happened for a while. The first part of it, where the audience gets to see the beginning of the main relationship, was probably the best part, with a youthful and summery vibe.
Also, the performances were really good from everyone in the cast. The soundtrack was spot on as well.
However, this drama needs to have a second season, as the last episode left a lot of things unfinished and, in fact, opened up new storylines.
So, overall, seven out of ten.

Korean Web Drama "Pop Out Boy" had its moments, but, overall, it was just so so.The good parts of it were the dynamics of the main couple and the generation gap that the male lead was facing. The couple was cute and they had a kind of cat and dog relationship, with some funny moments and an interesting twist of a plot. However, they ended up being predictable and cheesy. As for the retro confusion of the main lead, it should have been exploited more, as it was fun and interesting.
However, the rest of the story was kind of silly, badly handled and corny. Though the performances were really good, especially considering that most of the cast were Kpop idols.
So, overall, 4.5 out of 10.

I'm torn whether this drama was good or not. It wasn't boring, but it had a rather slow pace; it wasn't cliche, but it didn't really lead anywhere; it had interesting cinematography, but a messy timeline. So, what drama is 'Record of Youth' ? It's a slice of life, family drama, with some romance and a bit of friendship genre into it. It contains two of the most popular nowadays actors, who, to be honest, could have worked in anything they wanted and yet they chose this drama(...). Simply stated, it's more like a drama about the life of Park Bo Gum with some fiction added to it.
Now, for its components, the slice of life was okay, portrayed with interesting editing and a youthful outlook. The romance was refreshing, original, but, at the end of the day, will not be memorable. The family drama, however, was the driving force of the story. The dynamics of the three youngsters with their families were probably the best things in the drama, as they were real and one could sympathize or even identify with them.
Finally, the performances were great and the atmosphere was spot on. However, there were multiple times when I thought that the story was just pointless and I didn't have anything to anticipate.
So, overall, five and a half out of ten.

" Penshion: Koi wa Momoiro " was okay.Have finished this one a few weeks ago, but I'm reviewing it now, which allows me to look back and to think about the story. And I honestly can't recall much.
The whole drama was too short and it chopped things up, presenting some of the stories through conversations, starting things out of the blue and finishing up rushly. We didn't get to see character development, or background stories so we can connect and know the characters.
The whole atmosphere, however, was simple, cozy and warm. The performances were okay too.
So, overall, four out of ten for Penshion: Koi wa Momoiro

" Girl Next Room : Security Love " the last part of the Girl Next Room series, was okay, but not as good as the previous ones. The story was okay, but it needed more time to get established and properly presented. Thus, because of the lack of time and proper length, the characters and the relationship were all rushed, which is a pity, as they were interesting and had smooth chemistry. Also, the story was more angsty than the previous ones, with more hot kisses and a lot of drama when it came to the romantic relationship of the couple. It was a bit boring at parts too.
The performances were, in addition, pretty good, and, as mentioned, the couple had chemistry. The pace was relaxed, but not smoothly handled.
So, overall, five out of ten.

" Sweet Revenge " season one is a web drama that brings to mind the well known Japanese Series "Death Note" in theory as an idea, but it took a different perspective on the matter. It actually was more about the rom com, with some cases that used the revenge app that the main character had on her phone. True, those cases were so so, as the romance and the youthful vibes were better and quickly swifted the focus on the couple rather than the small incidents. The revenge was satisfying though. The characters were interesting and entertaining too, and the performances were pretty good from everyone in the cast, especially concidaring that it was mostly concisted by young or rookie actors and actresses and some kpop idols. The side characters were pretty entertaining as well.
So, overall, six out of ten.

The drama's main problem was that they had no good excuse to justify why things happened and lead the main character to have no choice but to join the farming academy. I would also loved if they had the female lead fall in love with farming and show how good she was at it, or show us that she was passionate about acting, as they only said that she wanted to be an actress, but they didn't really present her doing anything about it.
Other than that, the drama, though short, did a good job with the romance and the family drama. Bomi was delightfull, as was the rest of the cast of the drama.
So, overall, six out of ten.

It had potential and the couple was cute. The second couple was pretty adorable too. The leading lady was simply amazing with her switching from one personality to another.
Gradually, however, the original character got less and less screen time, and the story focused more on the modern girl and her love interest. And then, halfway through, the drama got messy, sloppy and boring. Even the performances and the couple's chemistry didn't aid with the entertainment of the drama. The SGI and the make up were kind of horrible too.
So, overall, four out of ten.

The story was pretty good, and the way they presented it was masterful and it made it seem even better, as they mashed up the mystery with the male lead's story, even past of his parents. Another great thing about this drama was the performances. The lead actor was amazing and managed to show a variety of emotions from the begining till the very ending.
I do have to admit that I had no idea what was the game and how it is played (though you can pretty much figure that out by watching this drama). That's why I feel like I missed a big part of what the drama wanted to say.
So, overall, eight out of ten.
