Art House BL
The Artsiest of Art House Films and the Sliciest of Slice Of Life Dramas had a BL baby. Every other BL I’ve watched has been a happy (for the most part) RomCom, dispensed in 10-20 minutes episodes full of seratonin. The longer episodes here intrigued me, and they were definitely needed for the deeper story. While there is a “happy ending”, I would absolutely not call this a happy drama. I appreciate what this Drama was trying to do. I just don’t know if, for me, it quite achieved. There were 2 characters that I found absolutley unlikable, and they tried to “redeem” them in the last 10 minutes which was just - Uhg. I do have to say- The OST is outstanding. Bottom Line: give this a try if you’re looking for a Korean BL that isn’t all sunshine. Was this review helpful to you?
So Much Fun
11 episodes of pure joy. I smiled for nearly every single. second. If you’re a fan of Kim Tae Hyung, Choi Woo Shik, or Park Seo Joon, there’s is no reason not to watch this. Even if you’ve never heard of the cast, if you enjoy cooking shows or behind the scenes restaurant shows you will enjoy this. There’s also an audience here for people who like reality shows in general, or who enjoy watching best friends tease each other. This could also appeal to people who like travel shows; they did a good job selling me on taking a vacation to Bacalar.

I can’t rember the last time I was this emotionally invested in a fictional relationship. haforget whatever you’ve spoilers you’ve read about cheating.( I’m not a cheating apologist. I hate cheaters. once a cheater, always a cheater.)that’s not what this is about. this is a realistic portrayal of youth and how they change and grow, and how that change effects relationships; sometimes for the worse, and sometimes for the better.
it would be a disservice to yourself, and to the story that’s being told, not to watch this second act. you would miss these characters becoming who they’re supposed to be. I would argue that without their separation, they never could’ve become those people. and it is only those people, who have changed and grew and become SEPERATELY, who will be able to now sustain a lasting healthy relationship.
(-.5 points because Teh really pissed me off)
