The best drama I have watched in a while. After watching many dramas, I was missing the magical spark, which made me fall in love with watching dramas.Legend of Shen Li has an interesting start with a forbidden romance, strong FL, nice and graceful ML, cute side characters, quality music, action scenes and CGI. Occasionally the story feels like nothing is happening then boom, it gets interesting. Perhaps that's the only hindrance to not loving this.
The days I keep contemplating of dropping this show, it comes back with a banger episode that makes me swoon.
-------
Edit -
Loved the ending. So sweet. Worth the watch and the rewatch.
Things I liked
Shen Li's origin and her parents
Character Growth of Furong
Mofang's arc
Furong's Sister watching Furong's memories
The events leading to the wedding of Jin
Mortal realm scenes
Painting formation
ShenLi as Cluck Cluck
Things I didn't like
CGI fights though good were not my cup of tea

I had different expectations
Ok, so idk what made me have expectations that the ML will get attracted to FL post the fake marriage, and their wedding was gonna be impossible. *facepalm*Nothing of that sort happened.
The story is about everyone having secrets, and everybody knows others' secrets, but they don't know that others know their secrets.
I can't understand ML he says no, then yes, then no, then yes. The only saving grace was Fl who was bold and daring. All the heir drama was so pointless. SmL's acting was stiff. They did the Gay character dirty.
Anyway, it was filler drama for me, which I'd probably forget by this month's end.

Special, indeed.
My Special Girl is the journey of a timid girl with the alter ego of a siren streamer to love herself, find love and gain acceptance from her conservative mother.I was hooked to know how her crush and her mom would react about her other identity, and her performance at the ceremony (not shown). It was hilarious after her crush (now boyfriend) found out about her identity. I was all the more happy since they didn't end in a forced marriage scene (the scene in the intro song was a dream) and the age gap doesn't come off as weird.
The FL's friend comes off as sometimes annoying but later becomes comical. The second couple was boring. Usually, I skip work scenes but was invested in knowing what happens to their project. The love scenes were not overbearing and I liked that they wanted to improve each other so that they could become better.
I'm not a fan of Ireine Song's acting (watched Evernight) but it was refreshing to see her in alter ego, Dai. She should do more glam roles. Leon comes off a bit stiff and awkward and his youth scenes were not convincing.
Despite being about a singer, the songs weren't memorable except for one which ML sings in the restroom.
My special girl is special but not the best. Watch it for its comedy and heartwarming story.

Good Premise, Wacky Execution
Impossible Heir begins with three leads working together strategically to position SML as the heir or that's what I expected it to be. The interesting premise should have kept me hooked ...but ...Things take a wacky turn, with the unnecessary love triangle, and mostly predictable twists and turns. Doing the same twist twice doesn't help either.
Some shows spoonfeed but this one assumes viewers to be all-knowing. Often I felt like there was some background context missing or some info was mentioned in the passing by that it went over my head. I still can't understand the centre they kept talking about.
Romance was non-existent and if it did I felt nothing. The FL was barely likeable comes off as selfish and a gold digger. Even the acting is painful to see. I could not empathize with her. And SFL who was likable but had no character growth and purpose. ML and SML perform well especially Jun has improved.
The story justifies the title despite taking an unconventional route. One-time watch provided u ignore the FL.

Everyone loves novel
The character depth and the story flow were so much better in the novel. I was very much excited about this, hoping on lines of love scenery.Production quality was average. They made many changes to story and characters. Every episode had them having fun in some party or physical game.
ML was unconvincing as the head of the ninth team. Fl was good.
It started well but fizzed out. Like my interest in this show.

This is the story of a timid anxious girl who goes to interview only to mistake her boss as peer and ends up impressing him. She slowly transforms herself to confident person and has a makeover too. She has many hobbies she can sew, can perform, and even kick. She falls for her boss but ends up having a heartbreak. Thankly, she gets him in the end.
Did I just make up a story? No this is the story of SFL who ends up taking more screentime than main leads.

Stick around and it'll be a wonderful world
Yo, so at first, the story felt a bit slow and went off track sometimes. But as I kept watching, I got more into it and started to dig the way it was told.It was touching to see how the characters dealt with losing the people they loved and how they eventually found the strength to move on. ❤️ I hope to see the CEW in more roles like this in the future.

Wasted potential
I was excited, hoping win would portray the role aptly. But the constant unwarranted hatred towards guy led to lacking of chemistry which the original oozes of. I used to get butterflies during the date game confession. This was so meh.The FL actress looks more like natural beauty unlike the orignal who looks like she had work done. Hence not convincing. Her protray of Liu was so bubbly and not reserved.
The pacing was fast. The leads fought and resolved within an epi.
I felt like I was watching a show about faye instead of FL. Even the univ scenes were relateable in original. This is was not so. So I 2Xed and finished it.

Darker, Deeper
Marry My Husband is a show I began anticipating after learning about Park Min Young's dedication to the role. I have read the webtoon but not the novel on which this is based.Darker
Compared to webtoon the story is darker and intense. After 9th episode, whatever fluff and fun was left had been drained. The sudden genre change took time to adjust and the viewing became a chore. Upon acclimatising, the twists and turns are justified to nicely put a bow on it and give the perfect ending.
Deeper
The character development is deeper, making it easier to understand each character's actions like Yura and Sumin's. Although Yura's character comes off as unnecessary, the ending disproves it.
Not a 10
Sometimes a bit draggy to intensify the drama and the sudden genre change to melodrama makjangish vibe prevents this from making it into my favourites of 2024.
Top Notch acting
Song Ha Yoon and Lee Yi Kyung stole the show. On a side note, Park Min Young felt like a fashion goddess, " like you could wear that to work?!". Na In Woo was cute. He was different and better than his previous work Jinxed at first. Choi Gyu Ri was the best cast. Gong Min Jung was a bit stiff not sure if the character was meant to be like that. So good to see Ha Do Gwon in not a crazy-villain-role.
Music
Bad Liar and My All Dreams come true are easy on the ear. But the nod to BTS was a chef's kiss.
Marry My Husband nudges to not put up with regrets and fight on.

wondering why i cried, saw the name ....fair enough
A bittersweet feeling I get with every episode. This isn't devoid of flaws. It is dramatic, over-the-top, has too many characters, predictable, little funny, little melo. Sometimes I get butterflies, sometimes I tear up. Acting is subtle. Only thing I hate is dragging the misunderstandings.Queen of tears, indeed.

Interesting but ...
I started it as a filler drama as I was waiting for another drama. I was in for a surprise as it was good quality drama which kept me hooked to the point it stopped being filler and I started anticipating its episodes.I liked the quality storytelling, and the twists and turns. The action scenes were good But....
Sadly, these types of dramas have the main mystery to be solved by solving sub-quests, I mean, sub mysteries were simply not my thing. The bit-by-bit unravelling to the main mystery was not as rewarding as the wait nor was I interested in some student's death or side character's conflict with parent. All I wanted I was the mystery to be solved unfortunately I lost my patience.
I regret dropping it but never mind.
PS. How quick would be to accept the fact that the person you love is now in the guise of the person you hate.
