Decent entertainment that requires little mental engagement
This show was pretty cute. The sophisticated business woman with an embarrassing side-hobby plot was light and fun. The comedy was good for a few laughs and the romance was pretty steamy...like top-10 level steamy. Most of the plot devices are banal and contrived, but this show wasn't trying to be super deep or impactful, it was trying to deliver solid reliable entertainment and it did that really well. The lead actress is super cute with her covert fangirl hobby, which is entertaining to watch.
Since this is primarily a romance, it makes sense to me that the best scenes were the romantic ones. There's the kiss photo shoot in an alley that you'll find in many top-10 Kdrama kisses lists...but that one wasn't my favorite. The hidden gem romance scene is one where he's in her shamefully fangirled-out house and she's got him blindfolded so her secret isn't discovered and they do the typical imagination scenario where she fantasizes about what happens next but then comes back to her senses and things play out differently in reality. But dang are those imagination fantasy daydreams hot in this drama!
There are a few deeper points in the story, mostly dealing with side characters. I especially liked the way they dealt with the old photographer who was afraid to show the world he was gay. I also liked the deeper plotline with the main male character's origin story.
Basically, there is nothing wrong with this show at all, it's super fun and easy to watch. It's not epic. It's not deep. But it delivers.
