Mediocre at best?
As a fan of Song Ji-Hyo I was so underwhelmed by her written character in this drama. She herself is a independent woman who has a strong personality and stands by who she is, we've seen this all in the series Running Man. Knowing this made it easy to connect her to the role of a strong mother raising her child alone. But watching this and seeing her acting as Noh Ae-jung made it feel so out of place, it was like she was forced to portray all the qualities she already has. This made it awkward to relate and want the best for the female lead and made Noh Ae-jung seemed insincere and very selfish, past episode 5 I started to dislike her character entirely.
Going onto the story, I didnt enjoy it at all (besides some of the side stories). I watched it to the end strictly because of SJH . The plot had so much potential and it didnt hit any of the marks for me, more like dipped the end of a finger in several different themes? Betrayal, love and romance, slice of life, school life, teen drama, and action? Sadly every single one failed. It feels like they tried to cram in as much as they could to make up for the lack the story seemed to have. I actually enjoyed the side "romance plots" more than the main one, and considering that they were "side stories" says a lot in itself. There was so much going on I think it was smothered.
This drama didnt hit any notes for me and sadly I wouldnt recommend this to anyone.

The cast was outstanding, Jo Jung Suk and Do Kyung Soo really had amazing chemistry in the film. They physically, and emotional portrayed their characters ( As well as all the others ex. Park Shin Hye ). The story had very quick build up ( understandable because movies only have about 2hours to really get everything in ) and the character development was the same, though not disappointing. The twists and turns in the story will truly pull you in and wont fail to get your eyes watering~
Overall I REALLY liked this film and would recommend it to any k-drama fan.

Poorly written characters, shallow plot.
So this drama is NOT worth the time, unless you're a huge fan of the actors and you want to watch it just for the sake of watching it. But by no means be excited to fall into a well written story, because this drama is not. There are soooo many things wrong with this drama, all the characters are petty, and very juvenile, It makes the whole story feel shallow. I don't blame the actors it was %100 the "adaptation" from the manhwa, but lord have mercy on the story. It makes no sense, it goes all over the place leaving a bunch of unanswered questions. That is of course until the end where they try to wrap everything up nicely, and answer all those questions, but it turns out super sloppy and rushed.
Once again on our poorly written cast, the main female char. was unbearable and her attitude toward this borderline toxic relationship had me concerned. Left me with a bunch of questions, thinking why she wouldnt stick up for herself in some strange situations. The main male char was super petty and annoying, boasting that he is a god and all that but kinda being useless.
It took me 3 times to fully run through this drama, and the only reason I picked it up once again was because it came out on netflix (Can). The reason to that, is because there is nothing memorable about this drama. No chemistry between actors or and scenes that really moved me ( there were some good moments in the episodes I never saw through previous attempts.). I also wasn't feeling a lot of the music, there was only 1 song I liked.
Aside from the bad stuff, the first maybe 7 episodes I enjoyed, I like the standoffish character traits at first, but it just got tiring after a while. The Cgi was pretty good with the water stuff, but don't get me started on underwater swimming scenes. The secondary actors or the supporting actors I really liked I wish we could get more of them, i felt like some of them had better stories than the main chars.
I feel like this drama butchered the actual manhwa and its sooo sad. I really wanted to like this drama but the story fell very short.
I wont recommend this drama to anyone considering.
This is based off my taste and I don't fault the people who enjoyed~

I'm not crying you are
This drama exceeded all of my expectations..I signed up for an emotional roller coaster but I didn't know what I would end up feeling.
Starting off with cast. I don't think they could have cast anyone better for Yu-ri than Tae Hee. She embodied the caring mother and beautiful wife to perfection, going far beyond with her performance. 5 years passed since she had a main role and came back swinging. As much as I could go on talking about her I have to applaud all the other cast members as well. I found myself falling in love with all of them, in some dramas once we go into side characters and side stories it can get dry and sometimes I feel like skipping through. BUT in no way did I feel like it in this series, the cast had such great chemistry they all melded together so well it was seamless all their interactions were just right. I don't know how they managed to make it seem like they were really related, it felt like I could see the parents in Ha-jun and those little details made it very easy to love this drama. But to speak on Dong-mi ( the bff ) she amazes me with everything she does I'm waiting to she her in a main role.
The story was what I expected jumping in having seen trailers and reading some reviews, but I was sobbing all throughout the 16 episodes. I personally am super close to my mother, seeing their relationship had me thinking of my mom and what it would be like, so I couldn't help but cry. I was always relating some aspect of my life to this drama thinking about my story and what my impact is. Just thinking about how my mother would feel losing me makes me tear up. All I can say is that the writers and directors did everything right. The resolution hit the spot of satisfaction and that's all I could've asked for as the series ended.
Music isn't a really big factor for me personally and I don't mind the absence of it in dramas. But the songs they used in Hi,Bye Mama! were fantastic and really added to the scenes it plucked my heart strings every time they came on, and I was ready for water works
Would %100 recommend!

MORE.
This movie? amazing. This movie hit every mark for me. It has every aspect in a crime drama that I love, the action, the plot, and twists that we know and love. If this was a drama I would easily watch 20+ episodes religiously.
The reasons why this film gave me so much to like was because of how "clean" everything was. The story didn't feel rushed at all, it gave us clear backstory and character development allowing us to engaged in the story all while keeping it short and sweet.
The actors did an amazing job portraying their characters, JJS and GHJ are actors I've followed for a very long time ( Jealousy Incarnate anyone?) and they did not disappoint in any way. Also have to say RJY was absolutely amazing? his acting gave me shivers?? I haven't seen much of him, but will be on look out in the future. ( will be going to watch some of his dramas). His acting was integral and my favourite by far.
I didn't get much from music if there was any at all but not important to me the story didn't lack in anyway from it not being there.
To me this movie is everything I hoped it would be. I never like the "fast and furious" franchise, I found it dry and unappealing past the first movie. But after I saw the trailer for "Hit and Run squad" I was looking for a way to watch the whole thing within minutes.
Would recommend, especially if you enjoy action/crime genre.

I LOVED this drama, its well written and thought out. It feels real, it shows real life crime issues and depicts real stories that happen all around the world.
The music is amazing and used effectively, it adds to the emotion of the scene its used in. I love so many of the songs in this drama and I'm still searching for one of the songs used ( I don't think its a fully released song sadly )
The cast was also really great, I liked the actors they chose because they aren't SUPER well known ( Like Suzy or Lee Minho, Kang Bin ect.) ( I'm not bashing the actors either! Kwang Soo is one of my favourite actors/entertainer.) It added to the story making them seem like real people"
Overall a fantastic drama and one of my favourites.
( Would also recommend watching Voice, When a snail falls in love, Guardians/ Lookout, and medical examiner dr.Qin for similar feeling dramas)

The story was well written and the actors were compelling in their roles plus the main characters chemistry is outstanding.
I found the story to be an amazing portrayal of what people do for love. To see the entanglement of the characters story and watch as they slowly "untangle" it was thrilling. It really made me feel for the characters and got me invested in their story. Seeing what they go through and seeing them get their revenge ( and they do get it ) made it all the more amazing.
Hwang Jang Eum and Ji Sung have amazing chemistry. No matter what drama they act in with or without one another, they still give an amazing performance. ( I suggest watching Kill me, Heal me to get more of the two actors )
%100 would re-watch! Always think of going back after watching some MV on youtube for this drama!

I saw where this movie could have gone and things they could have done differently, but you could say that about almost any film.It starts out unclear exactly what In Ae went into prison for considering the opening scene and was hard to invest in her character and story. But we cling on to the revenge aspect knowing what her sister has been through as we see it unfold in the film. Her sister on the other hand who had a lot of character development was well written. There were a lot of loose ends and no real "revenge/justice" for those who wronged Eun Hye. They all got off basically Scott free other than a few broken bones and busted lips, you may think that's harsh but considering what they've done, its nothing in comparison.
The production of the film is quite good, the actors who played evil characters did a very convincing job. Truly making us hate them and want them to get everything they have coming ( although in my opinion it wasn't enough). The action and fighting scenes were well done Lee Shi Young is never disappointing when it comes to that. the cinematography takes some interesting angles, adding to some scenes. The minor but important characters had some strange contradicting moments which were confusing and if done differently could have added much more ( the well dressed mean girl in the brothel who suddenly became obedient and dressed childishly, and the man in the suit who suddenly changed his mind).
Even with the jumps in the "logic" and having some confusing story choices it didn't cause the story to lose too much. I wasn't able to become fully invested in the story and characters but it still isn't an awful film.

>> Overall the drama wasn't the worst, but he acting isn't the best, the music is sub-par and the characters are borderline annoying. It was an interesting concept but was let down by the story being so sporadic. The actors themselves were great and I'm sure they did what they had to, but the written characters were weak.
>> This is a drama you can put on while you're doing anything else and by the end of it you'd still know what happened. If you watch this drama go in with lower expectations and think of it as a pastime.

I kind of stumbled upon this movie after watching Radiant office, and thought to try it. I then realized I saw a trailer for this movie once and felt excited, but was slightly let down. The story depicts the stress of an adult work life and how it can truly change someone even pushing them to kill their co -workers. The concept and overall idea seemed super interesting but it fell short due to the story being slightly confusing.( Spoiler) I found when Mi Ryes image switched between herself and Sung Woo (the villain father) I couldn't really tell who killed the person. It seemed that they were both killing people within the office?? There were also parts in the story that didn't seem to add up for me. For example, when the officers found the body locked in the maintenance room in the parking garage? What was the cause and who did it?? ( maybe I missed something?? ) Overall if you miss one part in the story everything may not make sense.
On the bright side I loved the cast and acting, all the actors seemed to play their part adding to the overall "office" feel. Each actor/worker conveyed their own stress in different ways which is one part I enjoyed about the story, the short character development made me keep watching.
The music wasn't apparent to me and didn't leave a lasting impression, I honestly cant remember a time were music added to the film in any way across any of the scenes in the movie.
I'm not too sure if I would watch this movie again, or suggest it if that conversation ever comes up. Maybe after reading a few other reviews and seeing/reading others opinions and theory's/explanations I will revisit!

I found it quite hard to sit and watch after some point. I found the plot and story very boring and dynamic between characters (actors) average.
I was super interested as soon as the story started following Sun Ae. But I realized Soon Duk was the focus I started loosing interest, then I started getting tired of their characters by the end of episode 2. I stuck it out finished the 5th episode and added it to my dropped list.
Over all I wont revisit this drama considering I know how it ends, and what happens between the main chars.

Worth a watch
Pretty interesting movie!Zombie movies may be cliche or some may find them boring but personally I love them. I find it interesting the way each story moves differently and seeing different renditions of the same "disease". I have a soft spot for them but it wont keep me from making an honest review.
To me this movie drew in my interest very quickly, within the first 10 minutes of the film starting we dive right into our apocalyptic setting. No wasted time on any back story or what this disease is ( in a movie setting ; meaning its short run time, to me is preferred ) jumping right in and showing us more of the realistic side of what happens in the beginning. Another aspect that I enjoyed with this movie was, it gave us a lot of answers early on that in other zombie movies tend to leave us without. His family, typically in solo survival movies a question we are often left is "what happened to their family?" Starting off the film with that information gave us an easy way to strictly focus on the survival of our main character and truly see and relate to his feelings.
The actors did a fantastic job and with the minimal (main) cast made it easy to follow and stay focused. The music wasn't too prominent and i honestly don't remember much honestly but that is a part I'm not particularly picky about. Even if you don't typically enjoy horror or zombie movies I would still recommend that you watch this. It has some fun moments, good progression, tad bit of hinted romance ( maybe it was just me ) and a good resolution.
The only critique I have is for the last quarter of the movie, it seemed to burn out just a bit. The ending was alright but slightly shorter than I wanted it to be. It started off strong gave me a meaty story along with great acting but rushed out the door a bit quick. This film had a tasteful twist but it seemed to be rush in the later half.
Overall will suggest you give it a watch, and I know I will watch again!
