There's some changes in my review
Let me be honest, the reason I've been looking forward for this drama is because of Kubota Masataka and Ishihara Satomi. They're both my favorite J actors. But as I finished this drama, I've fallen in love with all the actors from UDI. The acting is on point and all the characters are awesome, well except from the villains of course lol.Whenever I watched an investigation drama, I will mostly judge the drama based on the cases. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the case in episode 1 is quite boring BUT other than that, all the cases in this drama is very interesting and intriguing. There are few cases that touched my heart and make me shed tears because it's so touching and sad.
This is my first Asian drama about pathology and Unnatural certainly set the bar high for my next pathology drama. Watching the procedure and the conclusion is very fascinating. I learnt a lot from this drama.
I hope there will be season 2 will all the same cast because this drama is perfection and I totally recommend this!
------------------------------------------------------ UPDATE ------------------------------------------------------
Hello, this is me in the year 2021 and I want to share something.
Recently, I re-watched this drama and I noticed that I stated "the case in episode 1 is quite boring". I want to slap myself lol. With this pandemic that's happening all over the world for already 1 year, it made me appreciate the case in episode 1 when I re-watch this drama. It hit too close too comfort with the pandemic that we're all currently experiencing. I understand the panic and chaos that happened in the drama.
With my changed statement, I hereby announce that all the case in this drama is very interesting and intriguing lol.

All the cast are perfect especially Bella and Pope. They both slayed me with their performance as Karakade/Kadesurang and Date. Kadesurang as Karakade is no doubt the best lakorn heroine in my opinion, I just love her so much. She doesn't necessarily meddle in someone else's business, she's strong and she's so smart. As for Date, I love him too, he's so devoted to Karakade and I swooned too much when I saw him smiled. And as for their romance, I squealed too many times that my family thought there's a rat in house lol
As for the story, my only complaint is that I wish they show us more of their married life. I would love to watch more of their interaction as husband and wife. It's really fun that as we watch this lakorn we also get to learnt more about the history of Thailand. If only my country would also do something like this lakorn, then maybe I won't be as clueless as I was about my country's history.
If you're looking for an amazing, sweet and funny lakorn/drama, then I definitely recommend this to you!

The one thing that made me so angry is the big loophole. It stated that they could go back 10 months, they proceeded to do a repeat on 11 January 2018 but then they came back on 24 February 2017?? That doesn't make any sense, they should've come back on March 2017, and not on February if it's really 10 months. For some reason, this loophole pissed me off and incredibly bothered me.
I'm fond of Kanjiya Shiori, she looks stunning in this drama, but somehow her acting is very lacking in this drama.
And I don't have anything against Kanata Hongo, I don't love him nor do I hate him but he sucks at acting. I know that's quite mean but he doesn't have any expression. I noticed something about him in this drama, like whenever he had to show emotion like anger, sadness or shock, he blinked his eyes a lot, like A LOT! And that's the only expression he does in this drama to show some emotions which made me realize that he can't act.
The repeat thing is already interesting but damn the story line sucks. I solved most of the mystery rather quickly and just stuck watching the main characters fumbled around and suspecting each other. The romance is quite nice but it doesn't compensate for the horrible plot. I finished this drama in less than a day and that's only because I've been fast forwarding it like crazy.
Based on my opinion, I wouldn't recommend this drama to you.

A disappointment
After Train To Busan in 2016 blew my mind and became my favorite asian movie of all time, I was so looking forward to the sequel. It took 4 years and finally I watched this in the cinema on 15 July 2020 to celebrated my birthday. I was pumped up and excited for this movie. And in the end, it let me down because it's a disappointment.Honestly I tried to give this movie a higher rating but I just can't. That 1 stars is for how hot Kang Dong Won is lol. This movie is around 2 hours and that 2 hours that I spent in the cinema, I only got scared twice, and that happened in the beginning of the movie.
Rather than a zombie movie, this seems like an action movie that doesn't have a solid plot. There was LOTS of car chasing scenes where the cars are CGI!!!! If I want to watch CGI/animation cars, then I better just spend my time watching CARS animation movie right? And of course during the car chase scenes there would be zombie right, but you know what, the zombies are also CGI!!!!!! Ugh I have enough of CGI crap in this movie. I know CGI is expensive and all but Train To Busan doesn't have any CGI zombies, and that movie was one of the scariest movie I've ever watched.
Oh and also there was a lot of drama. Boring drama that happened between the mother and daughters.
In conclusion, this movie is a waste of my time and money. I would never re-watch it again.

Why is this drama so underrated????!!! IT'S SO GOOD
Let me start off by clarifying that I found this drama by pure chance. I was scrolling through YouTube and got a recommendation of a fmv that someone made for this drama. After I watched half of the fmv, I got really intrigued with it and decided to check this drama out. And that is one of the best decision I've ever made in my life!I'm going to start with the story line. There's honestly nothing new with the story line. I had my fair share of Chinese youth drama and I'm well aware of how the story will goes. There are going to be about their high school lives, university lives and work lives, also there's going to be a separations or breakups. I know the story line for youth drama like the back of my hand lol.
But what makes this drama so unique to me is the female lead and male lead.
The female lead is Xia Lin Xi, she's the best female lead in youth drama ever!! No doubt about it. In Chinese drama, it's usually the male lead who is the perfect one but in this drama, it's the female lead. Xia Lin Xi is a clever, beautiful and rich female lead, this is a rarity in Chinese youth drama. She holds the number 1 spot in every exam for her whole grade. I love her from the beginning of this drama until the end of it.
As for the actress, Xiang Han Zhi, it's my first time watching her drama. She's very cute and beautiful. She's a good actress but there were some scene where I think her expressions were quite weird but that honestly doesn't bother me. I've became a fan of her, excited for her future project!
The male lead is Jiang Zheng Han, he is smart but because of the condition of his family, he neglected his studies. He skipped class and didn't answer the exam properly hence he got the bottom spot in every exam. Until Xia Lin Xi came into his life and changed it. I love how strong his love is toward Lin Xi. Lin Xi became his goal to be better and strive for more in life.
As for the actor, Wang An Yu, it's also my first time watching his drama. He's also a good actor but I really want to see him with a different hairstyle. The buzzcut hairstyle suits him but I think he'll look better with longer hairstyle.
Other than the amazing female and male lead in this drama, the relationship between them is also the reason why I extremely love this drama. Ever since they become boyfriend and girlfriend, they solved every problem together. Although sometimes they did keep a secret from each other but when the other knew about it, they didn't fight and instead very calmly discuss about it. There's no annoying misunderstandings between them. I like that this couple is very mature compare with the other youth drama couples. Zheng Han and Lin Xi supports each other and their trust on each other is very strong. No one can shake their relationship, literally.
The side characters are great. My favorite side characters got to be Duan Ning and Qiu Yan, because the other side characters knew the main leads since their high school days but Duan Ning and Qiu Yan met Zheng Han and Lin Xi as their dormmates and their friendship started from there. Although they haven't been friends with the main leads for long but their trusts in them are very solid.
For people who love youth drama, I totally recommend this drama to you. You won't regret it because I don't.

The story is mind blowing. I love that I got to see the point of view from all sides. I have nothing more to elaborate other than the story/plot is amazing. So congratulation to the screenwriter, Ms/Mrs Lee Ah Ram, for creating this amazing story.
As for the cast, let me start with our hero, Jang Ki Yong. I've heard of him before but I've never watch any of the drama he's in. And wow, what an introduction to this incredible actor. He is amazing as Yoon Na Moo/Chae Do Jin, this character in my opinion is very hard to portray because Na Moo doesn't show too many expression on his face but instead you can clearly see everything he's experiencing through his eyes. He mainly conveyed his emotions all through his eyes. Whether he's happy, sad, angry, anxious, excited, worried, a little crazed up, you can see it all from Jang Ki Yong's eyes.
And of course, through Nam Da Reum's eyes too. This boy is going to be a top actor in the future, mark my words. Nam Da Reum managed to portray such mature and calm vibes. While watching both of them as Na Moo, all I want to do is protect them both and hug them. Na Moo is such an incredible character and they both nailed it.
Honestly, I've never heard of Jin Ki Joo before. After looking at her drama list on MDL, it's no wonder why she escaped my radar, it's because I didn't watch any of the drama she's in before. She's such a great actress and she's beautiful and cute as heck. What I love the most about Jin Ki Joo is her voice, it's very soothing. I absolutely love Ryu Han Bi. She's an amazing actress and she's sooo gorgeous. I am so looking forward to when she's an adult and will become the main lead in the future :) I have my fair share of kdrama in my life, so far in my opinion, the only best heroine ever is from While You Were Sleeping. But now Gil Nak Won/Han Jae Yi just join the club because I love Nak Won so much. She's strong and she's not scared to defend herself. Nak Won is so understanding towards Na Moo. And watching them together makes my heart ache.
As for the other actors, they all did an amazing job. And the music suited the drama so well.
The romance between Na Moo and Nak Won is so spectacular. Their love withstand all the bad things that happen to them. Watching them together is so beautiful. Jang Ki Yong and Jin Ki Joo have a very great chemistry, it's off the chart. And of course, Nam Da Reum and Ryu Han Bi too. I will be on the lookout for this 4 actors <3
I recommend this drama to someone who is not afraid of dark romance theme.

The story is interesting but sadly the hero ruined it for me. Even after watching that many episodes, I still held some hope that the emperor will become more ruthless and just don't trust other people blindly but after reaching episode 28, I just lose all hope. I get that this drama wants to portray an emperor that is kind and benevolent. But Liu Ping is just plain dumb. He's so reckless and always puts people around him at risk. Sima Yi always end up cleaning his mess because Liu Ping isn't clever at all.
I actually loved the empress in the beginning, she's ruthless and very driven towards her goal. But after some times, she just let the emperor do anything he wants.
As for Sima Yi, I think he deserve to be the actual hero in this drama. I'm astonished by his cleverness. He always planned everything ahead. He's the only reason why the emperor and the empress still managed to fooled the others. If only this drama is about Sima Yi, I would've 100% love it to death. Elvis Han really nailed his mischievous smirk, I swooned too much while watching him.
Although I dropped this drama at episode 28, I skimmed through until episode 40 and I watched the last episode too. The ending baffled me and I'm quiet glad that I dropped this early. Although I love Sima Yi very much, I can't stand to watch another episode of the emperor being stupid and reckless again.
