I don’t think it deserves the hate it’s getting

I finished “My Day” at 5:30am this morning after binge watching it for around 8 hours. Needless to say, it was super addicting and totally worth my time.

Was it the best BL series I’ve watched in my life? Nah. Was it ridiculous at times and maybe even a little cringey? Probably. But regardless of all that, I ended up loving it WAY more than I expected.

The series overall has some scenes that are random, some are unnecessary and others are uncomfortable to watch. There are some few things that are cliché and annoying (like the psycho ex-girlfriend—fuck you Moira) but there were some other aspects of this series that were new and refreshing as well.

I do believe that the biggest reason why I ended up loving this series so much was the chemistry between the actors that play Ace and Sky. Again, I was not expecting anything out of the series but they managed to surprise me. Their love scenes were... wow. Everyone could tell they were 100% comfortable with each other and the way they looked at one another was very heartwarming and everything felt... real. It’s been a few hours since I finished the series and I keep going back to those because they were just that good.

I’ve been watching BLs since 2016 and have to confess that this was one of the few BL series that has made me want to be in a relationship. With that, I think I say it all.

Go watch it expecting something “meh” and you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
