It was a fun ride, but...

Another airing drama that I followed ending! Honestly, I have mixed feelings with this one, so I feel like this gonna be a lengthy review lol so bear with me :)

What I love:
–Pi, I love Pi's character as a whole. Honestly, I would say I love him as much as I love Tian from ATOTS if not less. Him, his insecurities, his weakness, his determination, I love how he is flawed and it made him such a complex character, and he feels real. His story was so sad if we actually think about it, and every action he made honestly really understandable considering how hard it has been for him all these while. (and honestly? the portrayal of him as someone ugly before he change is just BS lol, he is pretty from the beginning!)
–Nan!! Of course I'm gonna mention the character that made me start this from the beginning. I understand why Pi was so attracted to him, hes like all the good things in this world put in a person. I wish he wouldve had more screen time (which he couldve had if this series didnt give so much screentime for the loud annoying shippers lol) because most of his scene was wise and just calming to watch lol
–Duean & Meen! Honestly, I love them to the coreeee omg I never feel THIS much love for a 2nd couple but their scene never fails to made my day, and honestly i find their final confession scene more adorable than the main couple! I'm gonna miss Duean's lack of braincell and Meen's bubbly personality so badly

What I dislike:
–Lemme just drop the bomb and say, I dont like Mork :D Well hear me out, I dont HATE him, just a lil dislike towards some of his action on Pi, especially when he kinda force himself to Pi and almost not respecting Pi's space. Honestly, even in ep 11 when he said he respect Pi's decision to keep their relationship a secret, yet his action shows otherwise lol! He also didnt know how to keep his boundary when crushing on Pi and truth be told, I feel like Pi deserve someone better lol BUT he actually came thru for the last bit especially on the final confession scene so okay yeah he is acceptable or whatev lol
–For the nnth time, i freaking HATE the shippers, theyre straight up a creepy obsessive stalker who didnt know how to keep their nose away from others' business! Like do these folks dont have a life??? They didnt even respect Pi's privacy! Pi was literally scared shitless knowing they wanted to take photo of his house like thats just too much!
–That fake girlfriend character i forgot her name but all of her scenes cringe me to the core and honestly i wasnt even surprised when it turns out she was the one who revealed Pi's photos, she was sus from the start
–The pacing in this series is way too off! The first part feels like it can actually be sum up in less than 9 eps, then everything happened so fast after that which I feel couldve been lengthen into few more episodes instead. The pacing was slow at first and then BAM BAM so much thing happenend towards the end, you know what I mean? lol

LMAO i knew this gonna be lengthy at the dislike part ? But nevertheless, it ends! I especially love the part after the two years past, its adorable seeing how Pi suddenly become clingy after Mork is no longer by his side all the time lol, I feel like I will remember how complex and unique Pi's character is for awhile, gonna miss him and Duean Meen now

7.2/10

One of the decent law drama with refreshing plot

I never thought I would enjoy a law drama with a slower pace compared to the thrilling ones out there, but Divorce Attorney Shin proved me wrong in the best way possible. It was a little melodramatic at times, very melancholic yet also very fun and addictive to watch unfold.

What makes this drama shines the most was mostly because of the golden trio with all their weird antics and behavior, never thought I love me some adults men that build their friendship from an emotional bonding and being just a perfect platonic soulmates for each other. Their scenes really got me feels all happy and warm and not to mention they were also funny as heck!

The cases in this drama was fairly simple, but that was what made it even better as it feels closer to the watcher than ever, and I just adore how calm Shin Seung Han's character is when handling his cases and even in the last trial, he handled his emotion really professionally

The relationship between the characters in the drama was really amazing, they were all really considerate and kind towards each other; not betrayal, no backstabbing and no extra drama; just pure old friendship and new friendship bonding over the time. Also, Gi Yeong and Hyeon U is the bestest boy ever!

However, I feel like they did not explain the chronology of the divorce case of Ju Hwa's and their custody case really well, because I get confuse with the timeline and what exactly happened between Ju Hwa and that Young Joo woman, why is she claiming that she is the rightful wife of Jeung Geuk? I don't know, it feels a little confusing and feels like there's something not explained well even till the end

Overall, it was a decent watch for a law drama, a little confusing at times but the main characters and their relationship with each other really made this drama feels so good and fun to watch

Too optimistic for their own good

To be honest, when I look back again on why did I even stick around with this drama, I can't explain it really well. But I sometimes would pick up this kind of slice-of-life drama to watch while airing because it's a good palate cleanser amidst all the other heavy dramas I am watching

But, this drama turned out to be too optimistic, that it became stupid. I notice the pattern of this drama from the start, where they will encounter a conflict that will be settle in such a simple way; with few motivation words and encouragement, with the use of courage and passion. It is the typical positive drama that should have made you feel like everything will turn out okay

Well, they're just too much. And this drama turned ridiculous with what they decide on how to handle Sin Dae Ryuk's storyline. From the start I already predict they will not handle his problem really well because for so many episodes, the breakdown and panic attacks that Dae Ryuk faced are not handled well at all from any of them, especially Ma Eum who should've been the first to realize that Dae Ryuk has a serious mental health problem. Again, the drama is too positive that they even make mental health capable to disappear just like that over some few words

But it get worse, when they decide to pull a plot twist on Sin Dae Ryuk's trauma and made it all a misunderstanding, turning abuse into an act of love and turning an evil abusive mother into a sympathetic mother with serious illness, all in just one episode. That plot alone, along with how they buildup Dae Ryuk's character arc for so many episodes only to crumble him apart like that, made this drama turn from a 7.5 to a 5.5 real fast for me.

And honestly, the WebToon team claimed to care for their artist, but now that I look back, they only care for the comic that those artist are creating, not the people themselves. As I mentioned, too optimistic for their own good, too much of positive vibe and the 'everything will be sunshine and rainbow' made this drama feels so stupid.

It was very good, until it is not.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo has taken the Kdrama world by a storm with the amount of people that are paying attention to this drama from the start of its airing. It is a very likable drama that is easy to follow, especially if you're a Kdrama fans who always follow the huge amount of other law kdrama.

EAW was amazing from the start, it displayed, mostly a very relatable aspect of the view and struggle of people with autism. But I am not gonna touch abt those, whether the accuracy or any stigma that it manage to show bcs honestly I do not have enough knowledge for that. Instead I will talk abt the plot, mostly the cases and the development of the main characters through out the drama.

Most of the cases that are shown in the drama was pretty simple and common, and I actually like it. After so many law dramas featuring murders, serial killers and psychopath, EAW is a breath of fresh air with their simple cases involving various issue and topics. I enjoy most of the cases that are addressed in this drama as I always like this kind of episodic theme in dramas.

As for the main characters, most of them are very great and well-written, except for a few, which is actually the reason how this drama turned from a 9 to an 8 for me. For me the most illogical and shallow part of the writing of this drama is on Jun Ho, Min Woo, and Soo Yeon's character, specifically towards the end of the drama. For Jun Ho, although it is undeniable that he is an amazing character and a great boyfriend, somehow, the build up of his characteristic feels a lil bland. He lacks a proper background story that can help the viewers understand him as a person; such as what are his struggle? His stand? His motivation etc? But of course, I still enjoy their sweet scenes together bcs they never fail to give me extreme butterflies.

For me the fall of this drama started from Ep 13-14, as it has been agreed by quite a lot of people last week. This involves the writer extremely changing Min Woo's character out of nowhere that actually cause a lot of confusion. It seems like they want to give him a redemption arc, yet they don't even know where it come from. Why would he change? What made him change? And if he did, why is it that not even once did he utter sorry for Young Woo? It's just utter confusion

And what's worse, they also ruined Soo Yeon's character, like just bcs of some generous action from Min Woo, just bcs he acted kind a few times, Soo Yeon all of a sudden fell hard for him who she always hates and she knows is an asshole all these while. Like it doesn't make any sense.

Other noticeable flaws of this drama for me is the build up for the Tae Su Mi scandal. It has been brought up to our attention abt it from early episodes, but somehow it seems like the writer forgot abt her character in the middle of the drama, then start going for all the cliches plot first; a breakup, a dying plot and a sloppy redemption arc, and then on the last episode they brought her back and all those buildup goes to waste as it was all settled with no climax all in one episode

I know I touched more on the flaws rather than why I like this drama, but that is bcs it is obvious that this drama is very easy to like and enjoy, and will be memorable. But the flaws that came up on the last 4 episodes took me by surprise that I just have to vocalize it somewhere. Of course, these are all just my opinion and I still had a lot of great time with this drama despite its flaws. Honorable mentions for Jung Myeong Seok, Dong Geurami and Young Woo's eureka moment

The perfect drama to end 2021 with!

I am in cloud nine right now as I've just finished the final episode a minute ago, while having this drama as one of my most anticipated airing dramas every week.

An apocalypse drama; especially a zombie one is already typical in the drama industry, but it's still one of my favorite genre which is why I chose to follow this one while airing. But what made Happiness so good and stand out on its own way? The theme that this drama wants to bring out can be seen first and foremost from its title itself, the title that made viewers always questioning, "Where is the happiness in this drama? There's only misery and chaos." But I think that's really the point that they want to bring. I realized this during the rooftop scene when they were eating together, that despite the chaos that is happening, it feels better and bearable because they are with the people they loved.

And then the message pulled through even till the end; we have the rude son who finally realized his parents are the most precious people he should care for, we have siblings reconciling with each other after going through the hardship together, we have a parent holding out for the sake of her daughter and of course, we have a platonic husband and wife who realizes they love each other more than they thought they did. From all these events it shows how people, no matter how tough and dreadful the obstacle is, can still obtain happiness where they are.

In term of the plot, I feel like it could have been better but after the finale I think this drama deserve nothing less than a 9/10 despite their flaws. The less logical part was the fact that they didn't really show other residents of the block attending meeting etc and it's just those few same familiar faces all over again, not even some background characters with no dialogue to make it seems more 'merrier' as a big apartment complex.

However, apart from the "Happiness" message that they convey, what I adore most about this drama is the portrayal of some of the characters. Those that come first are of course our power couple, Sae Beom and Yi Hyun who above anything else in this world, would continuously only prioritize each other no matter what. Their relationship is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen and the way they love each other so selflessly is very precious. Tae Seok is another character that I really adore, he was such a morally grey character that you can't really sort him out, yet you know exactly what is his goal and he did everything he could; despite having to go against the rule and moral for his loved ones. I kind of find the similarity between the three of them, which is why I think they work really well together because they all prioritized the people they loved above anything else; even above saving the world. Also special mention Na Soo Min who is the character I dislike at the start but can't help to adore at the end when he tried his best to protect his sister from being infected (and him in the last episode with the gear on are especially adorable)

The drama might appear a little slow in the beginning especially if you watch it for the action-packed anticipation, but I really love the slow pace development on each episode which made the story less dramatic and less over the top compared to other drama, which is actually the perfect portrayal of the way human can still live normally despite the chaos that happened in their life, just like how we continued living with the virus that is still with us till now

My 3rd Cdrama and now my favorite one!

Okay, this was just my 3rd Cdrama but I am veryyy glad that I decide to pick this one up!

What I love:
-The acting! Ugh, I can go on and on about how much I ADORE both main leads' acting! This is my first time watching their drama but they are amazing in this one that I now have a strong urge to watch their other dramas too soon. Their portrayal when switching bodies was perfect, and very believable! And that is also what made the comedy in this drama successful bcs you just will never get enough of their chaotic life while switching! Their level of acting is very top tier that I notice even their voice changed when they switched bodies, and they did it so smoothly too, like they both really made this drama as good as it is
-Their chemistry is amazing too, like their shift of relationship from not liking each others gut, to slowly trusting each other, to being friend and then lovers, I really just love how well their relationship was portrayed without any awkwardness in between of the changes
-Their transparency in relationship, honestly this was the bare minimum lol, but it is indeed rare to see the leads having as much trust and communication in drama, and this drama have that. I love how they both would address what one think the other are feeling uncomfortable about, and they just keep zero secret with each other, which leads to no silly misunderstanding or whatever
-All the other side characters are lovely! From Tong Hua, Le Yi, Jia Shu, Sheng Sheng's parents and even Da Chuan, i love how each of them are so caring and kind, especially Sheng Sheng's father, I love that man so much, he gives me so much warmness.
-The comedy is top tier! Although the comedy was toned down a lil since they got together, I still very much enjoy most of their humorous part especially from the early eps, the one in particular that I love is when Sheng Sheng cracked Jiang Yi's walnut lmao that scene was goldddd xD

What I dislike:
-I dont like Jiang Yi's father, but honestly, who does? Like hes just an a**hole who lives off his wealthy son lol hes so annoying too. I'm glad this drama didnt make Jiang Yi make amend with him bcs honestly he doesnt deserve anything from Jiang Yi
-This is something very minor, but I kinda dont like that one like pop music ig that was played several times during some comedy scene, like that sound was so loud and unfitting lol
-The endingggg!! Ugh seriously, I'm bitter about that! But after reading people's comments regarding Chinese censorship well then theres nothing they can do anyway, so I would just act like that ending didnt happen lol voila problem solved xD

Truth be told I wanted to put the pacing in the dislike part too, but I feel like it cant be help that once their relationship become more serious, then the comedy will be toned down. Because personally I prefer the first half wayyy better than the second half of this drama bcs of the lightness and humor that it has, but at least I'm glad the plot didnt get draggy with many unnecessary plotlines or misunderstanding, so I still really like how this drama turns out

9.2/10

Thankfully didn't go any worse, but could've been better

I start watching this just for Young Woo, Sung Chul and the veterinary background that they are displaying. At start, the whole chaotic city veterinarian boy who got pushed to live in the rural village was very enjoyable to me. Especially in every episode they kind of cover on few different cases of animals in the veterinarian world. The most memorable one for me was the old man with his old bull best friend, that was the most touching and heartfelt story.

Unfortunately, the string of cliches that they pulled on ep 8 - 9 has made this drama fall from a solid 8 to a 7, especially seeing how the story would've flow just nice even without the whole ex comeback plot. Not only is she manipulative, but also irritating and annoying throughout her screen time; I don't even like her final goodbye to Ji Yul bcs even then, she tried to twist things around. Fortunately, at least Sang Hyun came back to his sense towards the end and stop being an arse lol

But, they do pull through after that; ep 10 - 12 did not disappoint as I predicted it will, in fact, I really enjoy the moments of them dating secretly; the awkwardness, the struggle; they are soooo adorable during those sequences. Not to mention, her whole confession to the entire village abt their relationship lol. I also enjoy the bits of their long distance relationship; which I hope could've been longer to show their struggle in handling their first LDR etc

The ending was predictable, but adorable regardless. The only thing I dislike is the cliches in ep 8-9, and also the fact that after awhile, they start to lose focus on the whole veterinary plot and we didn't get any story related to the animals anymore, which is a shame bcs they didn't manage to balance that with the romance
